| Jesus said these things; then, lifting his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the time has now come; give glory to your Son, so that the Son may give glory to you: | ESTAS cosas habló Jesús, y levantados los ojos al cielo, dijo: Padre, la hora es llegada; glorifica á tu Hijo, para que también tu Hijo te glorifique á ti; |
| Even as you gave him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all those whom you have given to him. | Como le has dado la potestad de toda carne, para que dé vida eterna á todos los que le diste. |
| And this is eternal life: to have knowledge of you, the only true God, and of him whom you have sent, even Jesus Christ. | Esta empero es la vida eterna: que te conozcan el solo Dios verdadero, y á Jesucristo, al cual has enviado. |
| I have given you glory on the earth, having done all the work which you gave me to do. | Yo te he glorificado en la tierra: he acabado la obra que me diste que hiciese. |
| And now, Father, let me have glory with you, even that glory which I had with you before the world was. | Ahora pues, Padre, glorifícame tú cerca de ti mismo con aquella gloria que tuve cerca de ti antes que el mundo fuese. |
| I have given knowledge of your name to the men whom you gave me out of the world: yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your words. | He manifestado tu nombre á los hombres que del mundo me diste: tuyos eran, y me los diste, y guardaron tu palabra. |
| Now it is clear to them that whatever you have given to me comes from you: | Ahora han conocido que todas las cosas que me diste, son de ti; |
| Because I have given them the words which you gave to me; and they have taken them to heart, and have certain knowledge that I came from you, and they have faith that you sent me. | Porque las palabras que me diste, les he dado; y ellos las recibieron, y han conocido verdaderamente que salí de ti, y han creído que tú me enviaste. |
| My prayer is for them: my prayer is not for the world, but for those whom you have given to me, because they are yours | Yo ruego por ellos: no ruego por el mundo, sino por los que me diste; porque tuyos son: |
| (All mine are yours, and yours are mine) and I have glory in them. | Y todas mis cosas son tus cosas, y tus cosas son mis cosas: y he sido glorificado en ellas. |
| And now I will be no longer in the world, but they are in the world and I come to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name which you have given to me, so that they may be one even as we are one. | Y ya no estoy en el mundo; mas éstos están en el mundo, y yo á ti vengo. Padre santo, á los que me has dado, guárdalos por tu nombre, para que sean una cosa, como también nosotros. |
| While I was with them I kept them safe in your name which you have given to me: I took care of them and not one of them has come to destruction, but only the son of destruction, so that the Writings might come true. | Cuando estaba con ellos en el mundo, yo los guardaba en tu nombre; á los que me diste, yo los guardé, y ninguno de ellos se perdió, sino el hijo de perdición; para que la Escritura se cumpliese. |
| And now I come to you; and these things I say in the world so that they may have my joy complete in them. | Mas ahora vengo á ti; y hablo esto en el mundo, para que tengan mi gozo cumplido en sí mismos. |
| I have given your word to them; and they are hated by the world, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. | Yo les he dado tu palabra; y el mundo los aborreció, porque no son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo. |
| My prayer is not that you will take them out of the world, but that you will keep them from the Evil One. | No ruego que los quites del mundo, sino que los guardes del mal. |
| They are not of the world any more than I am of the world. | No son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo. |
| Make them holy by the true word: your word is the true word. | Santifícalos en tu verdad: tu palabra es verdad. |
| Even as you have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. | Como tú me enviaste al mundo, también los he enviado al mundo. |
| And for them I make myself holy, so that they may be made truly holy. | Y por ellos yo me santifico á mí mismo, para que también ellos sean santificados en verdad. |
| My prayer is not for them only, but for all who will have faith in me through their word; | Mas no ruego solamente por éstos, sino también por los que han de creer en mí por la palabra de ellos. |
| May they all be one! Even as you, Father, are in me and I am in you, so let them be in us, so that all men may come to have faith that you sent me. | Para que todos sean una cosa; como tú, oh Padre, en mí, y yo en ti, que también ellos sean en nosotros una cosa: para que el mundo crea que tú me enviaste. |
| And the glory which you have given to me I have given to them, so that they may be one even as we are one; | Y yo, la gloria que me diste les he dado; para que sean una cosa, como también nosotros somos una cosa. |
| I in them, and you in me, so that they may be made completely one, and so that it may become clear to all men that you have sent me and that they are loved by you as I am loved by you. | Yo en ellos, y tú en mí, para que sean consumadamente una cosa; que el mundo conozca que tú me enviaste, y que los has amado, como también á mí me has amado. |
| Father, it is my desire that these whom you have given to me may be by my side where I am, so that they may see my glory which you have given to me, because you had love for me before the world came into being. | Padre, aquellos que me has dado, quiero que donde yo estoy, ellos estén también conmigo; para que vean mi gloria que me has dado: por cuanto me has amado desde antes de la constitución del mundo. |
| Father of righteousness, I have knowledge of you, though the world has not; and to these it is clear that you sent me; | Padre justo, el mundo no te ha conocido, mas yo te he conocido; y éstos han conocido que tú me enviaste; |
| And I have given to them knowledge of your name, and will give it, so that the love which you have for me may be in them and I in them. | Y yo les he manifestado tu nombre, y manifestaré lo aún; para que el amor con que me has amado, esté en ellos, y yo en ellos. |
