| Now late on the Sabbath, when the dawn of the first day of the week was near, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the place where his body was. | Y LA víspera de sábado, que amanece para el primer día de la semana, vino María Magdalena, y la otra María, á ver el sepulcro. |
| And there was a great earth-shock; for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, rolling back the stone, took his seat on it. | Y he aquí, fué hecho un gran terremoto: porque el ángel del Señor, descendiendo del cielo y llegando, había revuelto la piedra, y estaba sentado sobre ella. |
| His form was shining like the light, and his clothing was white as snow: | Y su aspecto era como un relámpago, y su vestido blanco como la nieve. |
| And for fear of him the watchmen were shaking, and became as dead men. | Y de miedo de él los guardas se asombraron, y fueron vueltos como muertos. |
| And the angel said to the women, Have no fear: for I see that you are searching for Jesus, who was put to death on the cross. | Y respondiendo el ángel, dijo á las mujeres: No temáis vosotras; porque yo sé que buscáis á Jesús, que fué crucificado. |
| He is not here, for he has come to life again, even as he said. Come, see the Lord's resting-place. | No está aquí; porque ha resucitado, como dijo. Venid, ved el lugar donde fué puesto el Señor. |
| And go quickly and give his disciples the news that he has come back from the dead, and is going before you into Galilee; there you will see him, as I have said to you. | E id presto, decid á sus discípulos que ha resucitado de los muertos: y he aquí va delante de vosotros á Galilea; allí le veréis; he aquí, os lo he dicho. |
| And they went away quickly, with fear and great joy, to give his disciples the news. | Entonces ellas, saliendo del sepulcro con temor y gran gozo, fueron corriendo á dar las nuevas á sus discípulos. Y mientras iban á dar las nuevas á sus discípulos, |
| And on the way, Jesus came to them, saying, Be glad. And they came and put their hands on his feet, and gave him worship. | He aquí, Jesús les sale al encuentro, diciendo: Salve. Y ellas se llegaron y abrazaron sus pies, y le adoraron. |
| Then said Jesus to them, Have no fear: go and give word to my brothers to go into Galilee, and there they will see me. | Entonces Jesús les dice: No temáis: id, dad las nuevas á mis hermanos, para que vayan á Galilea, y allí me verán. |
| Now, while they were going, some of the watchmen came into the town and gave news to the chief priests of all the things which had taken place. | Y yendo ellas, he aquí unos de la guardia vinieron á la ciudad, y dieron aviso á los príncipes de los sacerdotes de todas las cosas que habían acontecido. |
| And when they had come together with those in authority, and had made their decision, they gave much money to the watchmen, saying, | Y juntados con los ancianos, y habido consejo, dieron mucho dinero á los soldados, |
| Say, His disciples came by night and took him away secretly while we were sleeping. | Diciendo: Decid: Sus discípulos vinieron de noche, y le hurtaron, durmiendo nosotros. |
| And if this comes to the ruler's ears, we will see that he does not make you responsible. | Y si esto fuere oído del presidente, nosotros le persuadiremos, y os haremos seguros. |
| So they took the money, and did as they had been ordered: and this account has been current among the Jews till the present time. | Y ellos, tomando el dinero, hicieron como estaban instruídos: y este dicho fué divulgado entre los Judíos hasta el día de hoy. |
| But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had given them orders to go. | Mas los once discípulos se fueron á Galilea, al monte donde Jesús les había ordenado. |
| And when they saw him they gave him worship: but some were in doubt. | Y como le vieron, le adoraron: mas algunos dudaban. |
| And Jesus came to them and said, All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. | Y llegando Jesús, les habló, diciendo: Toda potestad me es dada en el cielo y en la tierra. |
| Go then, and make disciples of all the nations, giving them baptism in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: | Por tanto, id, y doctrinad á todos los Gentiles, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo: |
| Teaching them to keep all the rules which I have given you: and see, I am ever with you, even to the end of the world. | Enseñándoles que guarden todas las cosas que os he mandado: y he aquí, yo estoy con vosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo. Amén. |
