| And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were gone; and there was no more sea. | Y VI un cielo nuevo, y una tierra nueva: porque el primer cielo y la primera tierra se fueron, y el mar ya no es. |
| And I saw the holy town, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, like a bride made beautiful for her husband. | Y yo Juan vi la santa ciudad, Jerusalem nueva, que descendía del cielo, de Dios, dispuesta como una esposa ataviada para su marido. |
| And there came to my ears a great voice out of the high seat, saying, See, the Tent of God is with men, and he will make his living-place with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them, and be their God. | Y oí una gran voz del cielo que decía: He aquí el tabernáculo de Dios con los hombres, y morará con ellos; y ellos serán su pueblo, y el mismo Dios será su Dios con ellos. |
| And he will put an end to all their weeping; and there will be no more death, or sorrow, or crying, or pain; for the first things have come to an end. | Y limpiará Dios toda lágrima de los ojos de ellos; y la muerte no será más; y no habrá más llanto, ni clamor, ni dolor: porque las primeras cosas son pasadas. |
| And he who is seated on the high seat said, See, I make all things new. And he said, Put it in the book; for these words are certain and true. | Y el que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: He aquí, yo hago nuevas todas las cosas. Y me dijo: Escribe; porque estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas. |
| And he said to me, It is done. I am the First and the Last, the start and the end. I will freely give of the fountain of the water of life to him who is in need. | Y díjome: Hecho es. Yo soy Alpha y Omega, el principio y el fin. Al que tuviere sed, yo le daré de la fuente del agua de vida gratuitamente. |
| He who overcomes will have these things for his heritage; and I will be his God, and he will be my son. | El que venciere, poseerá todas las cosas; y yo seré su Dios, y él será mi hijo. |
| But those who are full of fear and without faith, the unclean and takers of life, those who do the sins of the flesh, and those who make use of evil powers or who give worship to images, and all those who are false, will have their part in the sea of ever-burning fire which is the second death. | Mas á los temerosos é incrédulos, á los abominables y homicidas, á los fornicarios y hechiceros, y á los idólatras, y á todos los mentirosos, su parte será en el lago ardiendo con fuego y azufre, que es la muerte segunda. |
| And one of the seven angels who had the seven vessels in which were the seven last punishments, came and said to me, Come here, and see the bride, the Lamb's wife. | Y vino á mí uno de los siete ángeles que tenían las siete copas llenas de las siete postreras plagas, y habló conmigo, diciendo: Ven acá, yo te mostraré la esposa, mujer del Cordero. |
| And he took me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and let me see the holy town Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, | Y llevóme en Espíritu á un grande y alto monte, y me mostró la grande ciudad santa de Jerusalem, que descendía del cielo de Dios, |
| Having the glory of God: and her light was like a stone of great price, a jasper stone, clear as glass: | Teniendo la claridad de Dios: y su luz era semejante á una piedra preciosísima, como piedra de jaspe, resplandeciente como cristal. |
| She had a wall great and high, with twelve doors, and at the doors twelve angels; and names on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. | Y tenía un muro grande y alto con doce puertas; y en las puertas, doce ángeles, y nombres escritos, que son los de las doce tribus de los hijos de Israel. |
| And on the east were three doors; and on the north three doors; and on the south three doors; and on the west three doors. | Al oriente tres puertas; al norte tres puertas; al mediodiá tres puertas; al poniente tres puertas. |
| And the wall of the town had twelve bases, and on them the twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb. | Y el muro de la ciudad tenía doce fundamentos, y en ellos los doce nombres de los doce apóstoles del Cordero. |
| And he who was talking with me had a gold measuring-rod to take the measure of the town, and of its doors, and its wall. | Y el que hablaba conmigo, tenía una medida de una caña de oro para medir la ciudad, y sus puertas, y su muro. |
| And the town is square, as wide as it is long; and he took the measure of the town with the rod, one thousand and five hundred miles: it is equally long and wide and high. | Y la ciudad está situada y puesta en cuadro, y su largura es tanta como su anchura: y él midió la ciudad con la caña, doce mil estadios: la largura y la altura y la anchura de ella son iguales. |
| And he took the measure of its wall, one hundred and forty-four cubits, after the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. | Y midió su muro, ciento cuarenta y cuatro codos, de medida de hombre, la cual es del ángel. |
| And the building of its wall was of jasper, and the town was clear gold, clear as glass. | Y el material de su muro era de jaspe: mas la ciudad era de oro puro, semejante al vidrio limpio. |
| The bases of the wall of the town had ornaments of all sorts of beautiful stones. The first base was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; | Y los fundamentos del muro de la ciudad estaban adornados de toda piedra preciosa. El primer fundamento era jaspe; el segundo, zafiro; el tercero, calcedonia; el cuarto, esmeralda; |
| The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. | El quinto, sardónica; el sexto, sardio; el séptimo, crisólito; el octavo, berilo; el nono, topacio; el décimo, crisopraso; el undécimo, jacinto; el duodécimo, amatista. |
| And the twelve doors were twelve pearls; every door was made of one pearl; and the street of the town was clear gold, as clear as glass. | Y las doce puertas eran doce perlas, en cada una, una; cada puerta era de una perla. Y la plaza de la ciudad era de oro puro como vidrio trasparente. |
| And I saw no Temple there; because the Lord God, the Ruler of all, and the Lamb are its Temple. | Y no vi en ella templo; porque el Señor Dios Todopoderoso es el templo de ella, y el Cordero. |
| And the town has no need of the sun, or of the moon, to give it light: for the glory of God did make it light, and the light of it is the Lamb. | Y la ciudad no tenía necesidad de sol, ni de luna, para que resplandezcan en ella: porque la claridad de Dios la iluminó, y el Cordero era su lumbrera. |
| And the nations will go in its light: and the kings of the earth will take their glory into it. | Y las naciones que hubieren sido salvas andarán en la lumbre de ella: y los reyes de la tierra traerán su gloria y honor á ella |
| And the doors of it will never be shut by day (for there is no night there): | Y sus puertas nunca serán cerradas de día, porque allí no habrá noche. |
| And the glory and honour of the nations will come into it: | Y llevarán la gloria y la honra de las naciones á ella. |
| And nothing unclean may come into it, or anyone whose works are cursed or false; but only those whose names are in the Lamb's book of life. | No entrará en ella ninguna cosa sucia, ó que hace abominación y mentira; sino solamente los que están escritos en el libro de la vida del Cordero. |
