Ecclesiastes 1:1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.	Giảng Sư 1:1 Lời của người truyền đạo, con trai của Đa-vít, vua tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
Ecclesiastes 1:2 All is to no purpose, said the Preacher, all the ways of man are to no purpose.	Giảng Sư 1:2 Người truyền đạo nói: Hư không của sự hư không, hư không của sự hư không, thảy đều hư không.
Ecclesiastes 1:3 What is a man profited by all his work which he does under the sun?	Giảng Sư 1:3 Các việc lao khổ loài người làm ra dưới mặt trời, thì được ích lợi chi?
Ecclesiastes 1:4 One generation goes and another comes; but the earth is for ever.	Giảng Sư 1:4 Đời nầy qua, đời khác đến; nhưng đất cứ còn luôn luôn.
Ecclesiastes 1:5 The sun comes up and the sun goes down, and goes quickly back to the place where he came up.	Giảng Sư 1:5 Mặt trời mọc, mặt trời lặn, nó lật đật trở về nơi nó mọc.
Ecclesiastes 1:6 The wind goes to the south, turning back again to the north; circling round for ever.	Giảng Sư 1:6 Gió thổi về hướng nam, kế xây qua hướng bắc; nó xây đi vần lại không ngừng, rồi trở về vòng cũ nó.
Ecclesiastes 1:7 All the rivers go down to the sea, but the sea is not full; to the place where the rivers go, there they go again.	Giảng Sư 1:7 Mọi sông đều đổ vào biển, song không hề làm đầy biển; nơi mà sông thường chảy vào, nó lại chảy về đó nữa.
Ecclesiastes 1:8 All things are full of weariness; man may not give their story: the eye has never enough of its seeing, or the ear of its hearing.	Giảng Sư 1:8 Muôn vật thảy đều lao khổ, loài người không thế nói ra được; mắt không hề chán ngó, tai chẳng hề nhàm nghe.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 That which has been, is that which is to be, and that which has been done, is that which will be done, and there is no new thing under the sun.	Giảng Sư 1:9 Điều chi đã có, ấy là điều sẽ có; điều gì đã làm, ấy là điều sẽ làm nữa; chẳng có điều gì mới ở dưới mặt trời.
Ecclesiastes 1:10 Is there anything of which men say, See, this is new? It has been in the old time which was before us.	Giảng Sư 1:10 Nếu có một vật chi mà người ta nói rằng: Hãy xem, cái nầy mới, vật ấy thật đã có rồi trong các thời đời trước ta.
Ecclesiastes 1:11 There is no memory of those who have gone before, and of those who come after there will be no memory for those who are still to come after them.	Giảng Sư 1:11 Người ta chẳng nhớ các đời trước, và các đời sau những người đến sau cũng sẽ chẳng nhớ đến nữa.
Ecclesiastes 1:12 I, the Preacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem.	Giảng Sư 1:12 Ta là người truyền đạo, đã làm vua Y-sơ-ra-ên tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
Ecclesiastes 1:13 And I gave my heart to searching out in wisdom all things which are done under heaven: it is a hard thing which God has put on the sons of men to do.	Giảng Sư 1:13 Ta chuyên lòng lấy sự khôn ngoan mà tra khảo mọi việc làm ra dưới trời; ấy là một việc lao khổ mà Đức Chúa Trời đã giao cho loài người để lo làm.
Ecclesiastes 1:14 I have seen all the works which are done under the sun; all is to no purpose, and desire for wind.	Giảng Sư 1:14 Ta đã xem thấy mọi việc làm ra dưới mặt trời; kìa, thảy đều hư không, theo luồng gió thổi.
Ecclesiastes 1:15 That which is bent may not be made straight, and that which is not there may not be numbered.	Giảng Sư 1:15 Vật chi đã cong vẹo không thể ngay lại được, và vật gì thiếu không thể đếm được.
Ecclesiastes 1:16 I said to my heart, See, I have become great and am increased in wisdom more than any who were before me in Jerusalem--yes, my heart has seen much wisdom and knowledge.	Giảng Sư 1:16 Ta nói trong lòng rằng: Nầy, ta đã được sự khôn ngoan lớn hơn hết thảy những người ở trước ta tại Giê-ru-sa-lem; thật lòng ta đã thấy nhiều sự khôn ngoan và tri thức.
Ecclesiastes 1:17 And I gave my heart to getting knowledge of wisdom, and of the ways of the foolish. And I saw that this again was desire for wind.	Giảng Sư 1:17 Ta cũng chuyên lòng học biết sự khôn ngoan, và biết sự ngu dại điên cuồng; ta nhìn biết điều đó cũng là theo luồng gió thổi.
Ecclesiastes 1:18 Because in much wisdom is much grief, and increase of knowledge is increase of sorrow.	Giảng Sư 1:18 Vì nếu sự khôn ngoan nhiều, sự phiền não cũng nhiều; ai thêm sự tri thức ắt thêm sự đau đớn.
