Judges 1:1 Now after the death of Joshua, the children of Israel made request to the Lord, saying, Who is to go up first to make war for us against the Canaanites?	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:1 Sau khi Giô-suê qua đời, dân Y-sơ-ra-ên bèn cầu hỏi Đức Giê-hô-va, mà rằng: Ai là người trong chúng tôi phải đi lên trước đặng đánh dân Ca-na-an?
Judges 1:2 And the Lord said, Judah is to go up: see, I have given the land into his hands.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:2 Đức Giê-hô-va đáp rằng: Ay là người Giu-đa phải đi lên; kìa, ta đã phó xứ vào tay họ.
Judges 1:3 Then Judah said to Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my heritage, so that we may make war against the Canaanites; and I will then go with you into your heritage. So Simeon went with him.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:3 Người Giu-đa bèn nói cùng người Si-mê-ôn, là anh em mình, rằng: Hãy đi lên cùng tôi trong xứ đã bắt thăm về tôi, thì chúng ta sẽ đánh dân Ca-na-an; rồi tôi cũng sẽ đi cùng anh em đến xứ đã bắt thăm về anh em. Người Si-mê-ôn bèn đi với họ.
Judges 1:4 And Judah went up; and the Lord gave the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hands; and they overcame ten thousand of them in Bezek.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:4 Vậy, người Giu-đa đi lên, Đức Giê-hô-va phó dân Ca-na-an và dân Phê-rê-sít vào tay họ; tại Bê-xéc họ đánh giết một vạn người.
Judges 1:5 And they came across Adoni-zedek, and made war on him; and they overcame the Canaanites and the Perizzites.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:5 Ở Bê-xéc cũng có gặp A-đô-ni-Bê-xéc, bèn xông vào người, đánh bại dân Ca-na-an và dân Phê-rê-sít.
Judges 1:6 But Adoni-zedek went in flight; and they went after him and overtook him, and had his thumbs and his great toes cut off.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:6 A-đô-ni-Bê-xéc chạy trốn, nhưng chúng đuổi theo, bắt được người, chặt ngón cái của tay và chơn.
Judges 1:7 And Adoni-zedek said, Seventy kings, whose thumbs and great toes had been cut off, got broken meat under my table: as I have done, so has God done to me in full. And they took him to Jerusalem, and he came to his end there.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:7 Bấy giờ A-đô-ni-Bê-xéc nói rằng: Có bảy mươi vua bị chặt ngón cái của tay và chơn, lượm vật chi rớt dưới bàn ta. Điều ta đã làm, Đức Chúa Trời lại báo ứng ta. Người ta dẫn vua đến Giê-ru-sa-lem, và người chết tại đó.
Judges 1:8 Then the children of Judah made an attack on Jerusalem, and took it, burning down the town after they had put its people to the sword without mercy.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:8 Người Giu-đa hãm đánh thành Giê-ru-sa-lem và chiếm lấy, dùng lưỡi gươm giết dân cư, và phóng hỏa thành.
Judges 1:9 After that the children of Judah went down to make war on the Canaanites living in the hill-country and in the south and in the lowlands.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:9 Kế ấy, người Giu-đa đi xuống đặng đánh dân Ca-na-an ở trên núi, miền nam, và đồng bằng;
Judges 1:10 And Caleb went against the Canaanites of Hebron: (now in earlier times Hebron was named Kiriath-arba:) and he put Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai to the sword.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:10 lại đi đánh dân Ca-na-an ở tại Hếp-rôn , và đánh Sê-sai, A-hi-man, cùng Tanh-mai.
Judges 1:11 And from there he went up against the people of Debir. (Now the name of Debir in earlier times was Kiriath-sepher.)	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:11 Từ đó, người Giu-đa đi đánh dân cư của Đê-bia .
Judges 1:12 And Caleb said, I will give Achsah, my daughter, as wife to the man who overcomes Kiriath-sepher and takes it.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:12 Ca-lép bèn nói: Ai hãm đánh Ki-ri-át-Sê-phe, và chiếm lấy nó, thì ta sẽ gả con gái ta là Ac-sa cho người ấy làm vợ.
Judges 1:13 And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, took it; so he gave him his daughter Achsah for his wife.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:13 Bấy giờ, Ot-ni-ên, con trai Kê-na, em thứ Ca-lép, chiếm lấy thành đó, nên Ca-lép gả con gái mình là Ac-sa cho người làm vợ.
Judges 1:14 Now when she came to him, he put into her mind the idea of requesting a field from her father: and she got down from her ass; and Caleb said to her, What is it?	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:14 Khi nàng đã đến nhà Ot-ni-ên, nàng giục người xin cha mình một miếng ruộng. Nàng xuống khỏi lừa, thì Ca-lép hỏi rằng: Con muốn chi?
Judges 1:15 And she said to him, Give me a blessing; because you have put me in a dry south-land, now give me springs of water. So Caleb gave her the higher spring and the lower spring.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:15 Nàng thưa rằng: Xin cha cho con một của phước. Vì cha đã định cho con ở đất miền nam, xin hãy cho con những nguồn nước! Ca-lép bèn ban cho nàng các nguồn trên và các nguồn dưới.
Judges 1:16 Now Hobab the Kenite, Moses' father-in-law, had come up out of the town of palm-trees, with the children of Judah, into the waste land of Arad; and he went and was living among the Amalekites;	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:16 Vả, con cháu của Kê-nít, là anh em bên vợ của Môi-se, từ thành Cây Chà là đi lên với con cháu Giu-đa, đến trong đồng vắng Giu-đa, ở về phía nam A-rát, và lập chỗ ở tại giữa dân sự.
Judges 1:17 And Judah went with Simeon, his brother, and overcame the Canaanites living in Zephath, and put it under the curse; and he gave the town the name of Hormah.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:17 Kế ấy, người Giu-đa đi cùng anh em mình, là người Si-mê-ôn, đánh dân Ca-na-an ỏ tại Xê-phát, tận diệt nơi ấy, rồi gọi tên nó là Họt-ma.
Judges 1:18 Then Judah took Gaza and its limit, and Ashkelon and its limit, and Ekron and its limit.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:18 Người Giu-đa cũng chiếm lấy Ga-xa cùng địa phận nó, Ach-ca-lôn cùng địa phận nó, và Ec-rôn cùng địa phận nó.
Judges 1:19 And the Lord was with Judah; and he took the hill-country for his heritage; but he was unable to make the people of the valley go out, for they had war-carriages of iron.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:19 Đức Giê-hô-va ở cùng người Giu-đa; người Giu-đa hãm lấy núi, còn dân sự ở trũng, thì họ đuổi đi không đặng, vì chúng nó có những xe bằng sắt.
Judges 1:20 And they gave Hebron to Caleb, as Moses had said; and he took the land of the three sons of Anak, driving them out from there.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:20 Kế sau, theo lịnh của Môi-se, người ta ban Hếp-rôn cho Ca-lép! Ca-lép bèn đuổi ba con trai của A-nác khỏi thành ấy.
Judges 1:21 And the children of Judah did not make the Jebusites who were living in Jerusalem go out; the Jebusites are still living with the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:21 Nhưng con cháu Bên-gia-min không đuổi được dân Giê-bu-sít ở tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, nên dân Giê-bu-sít hãy còn ở chung cùng con cháu Bên-gia-min cho đến ngày nay.
Judges 1:22 And the family of Joseph went up against Beth-el, and the Lord was with them.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:22 Còn nhà Giô-sép cũng lên đánh Bê-tên, và Đức Giê-hô-va ở cùng họ.
Judges 1:23 So they sent men to make a search round Beth-el. (Now the name of the town in earlier times was Luz.)	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:23 Vậy, nhà Giô-sép sai do thám Bê-tên; tên thành nầy lúc trước là Lu-xơ.
Judges 1:24 And the watchers saw a man coming out of the town, and said to him, If you will make clear to us the way into the town, we will be kind to you.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:24 Những kẻ do thám thấy một người ở thành đi ra, bèn nói cùng người rằng; Xin chỉ cho chúng ta ngõ nào đi vào thành được, thì chúng ta sẽ làm ơn cho ngươi.
Judges 1:25 So he made clear to them the way into the town, and they put it to the sword; but they let the man and all his family get away safe.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:25 Người bèn chỉ cho họ ngõ người ta đi vào thành được; chúng bèn lấy gươm đánh giết thành; nhưng để cho người đó và cả nhà người đi.
Judges 1:26 And he went into the land of the Hittites, building a town there and naming it Luz: which is its name to this day.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:26 Đoạn, người ấy đi vào xứ dân Hê-tít, xây một cái thành tại đó, và đặt tên là Lu-xơ, hãy còn gọi vậy cho đến ngày nay.
Judges 1:27 And Manasseh did not take away the land of the people of Beth-shean and its daughter-towns, or of Taanach and its daughter-towns, or of the people of Dor and its daughter-towns, or of the people of Ibleam and its daughter-towns, or of the people of Megiddo and its daughter-towns, driving them out; but the Canaanites would go on living in that land.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:27 Người Ma-na-se không đuổi được dân cư của Bết-Sê-an và của các thành địa hạt nó, cũng chẳng đuổi dân cư của Tha -a-nác và của các thành địa hạt nó, hoặc dân ở Đô-rơ và dân ở các thành địa hạt nó, hoặc dân ở Gíp-lê-am và dân ở trong các thành địa hạt nó, hoặc dân ở Mê-ghi-đô và dân ở các thành địa hạt nó, thì cũng chẳng đuổi đi, vì dân Ca-na-an quyết định ở trong xứ ấy.
Judges 1:28 And whenever Israel became strong, they put the Canaanites to forced work, without driving them out completely.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:28 Xảy khi Y-sơ-ra-ên trở nên cường thạnh, thì bắt dân Ca-na-an phục dịch; nhưng không có đuổi chúng nó đi hết.
Judges 1:29 And Ephraim did not make the Canaanites who were living in Gezer go out; but the Canaanites went on living in Gezer among them.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:29 Người Ep-ra-im cũng chẳng đuổi dân Ca-na-an ở tại Ghê-xe; nhưng dân Ca-na-an cứ ở cùng họ tại Ghê-xe.
Judges 1:30 Zebulun did not make the people of Kitron or the people of Nahalol go out; but the Canaanites went on living among them and were put to forced work.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:30 Người Sa-bu-lôn cũng chẳng đuổi dân Kít-rôn, hoặc dân ở Na-ha-lô; và người Ca-na-an ở chung cùng người Sa-bu-lôn, song phải phục dịch họ.
Judges 1:31 And Asher did not take the land of the people of Acco, or Zidon, or Ahlab, or Achzib, or Helbah, or Aphik, or Rehob, driving them out;	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:31 Người A-se cũng chẳng đuổi dân ở A-cô, hoặc dân ở Si-đôn, dân ở Ach-láp, dân ơ Ac-xíp, dân ở Hên-ba, dân ở A-phéc hay là dân ở Rê-hốp.
Judges 1:32 But the Asherites went on living among the Canaanites, the people of the land, without driving them out.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:32 Người A-se lập sản nghiệp ở giữa dân Ca-na-an, là dân bổn xứ; vì người A-se không đuổi chúng nó đi.
Judges 1:33 Naphtali did not take the land of the people of Beth-shemesh or of Beth-anath, driving them out; but he was living among the Canaanites in the land; however, the people of Beth-shemesh and Beth-anath were put to forced work.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:33 Người Nép-ta-li không đuổi dân ở Bết-Sê-mết và Bết -A-nát; nhưng lập sản nghiệp ở giữa dân Ca-na-an, là dân bổn xứ; còn dân Bết-Sê-mết và dân Bết -A-nát phải phục dịch người Nép-ta-li.
Judges 1:34 And the children of Dan were forced into the hill-country by the Amorites, who would not let them come down into the valley;	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:34 Dân A-mô-rít dồn người Đan ở trên núi, không cho họ xuống trũng.
Judges 1:35 For the Amorites would go on living in Mount Heres, in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim; but the children of Joseph became stronger than they, and put them to forced work.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:35 Dân A-mô-rít định ở tại núi Hê-re, A-gia-lôn, và Sa-an-bim; nhưng tay của nhà Giô-sép thắng chúng nó, nên chúng nó phải phục dịch.
Judges 1:36 And the limit of the Edomites went from the slope of Akrabbim from Sela and up.	Các Thủ Lãnh 1:36 Địa phận dân A-mô-rít chạy từ dốc Ac-ráp-bim, từ Sê-la trở lên.
