Proverbios 20:1 EL vino es escarnecedor, la cerveza alborotadora; Y cualquiera que por ello errare, no será sabio.	Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler; And whosoever erreth thereby is not wise.
Proverbios 20:2 Como bramido de cachorro de león es el terror del rey: El que lo hace enfurecerse, peca contra su alma.	Proverbs 20:2 The terror of a king is as the roaring of a lion: He that provoketh him to anger sinneth [against] his own life.
Proverbios 20:3 Honra es del hombre dejarse de contienda: Mas todo insensato se envolverá en ella.	Proverbs 20:3 It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife; But every fool will be quarrelling.
Proverbios 20:4 El perezoso no ara á causa del invierno; Pedirá pues en la siega, y no hallará.	Proverbs 20:4 The sluggard will not plow by reason of the winter; Therefore he shall beg in harvest, and have nothing.
Proverbios 20:5 Como aguas profundas es el consejo en el corazón del hombre: Mas el hombre entendido lo alcanzará.	Proverbs 20:5 Counsel in the heart of man is [like] deep water; But a man of understanding will draw it out.
Proverbios 20:6 Muchos hombres publican cada uno su liberalidad: Mas hombre de verdad, ¿quién lo hallará?	Proverbs 20:6 Most men will proclaim every one his own kindness; But a faithful man who can find?
Proverbios 20:7 El justo que camina en su integridad, Bienaventurados serán sus hijos después de él.	Proverbs 20:7 A righteous man that walketh in his integrity, Blessed are his children after him.
Proverbios 20:8 El rey que se sienta en el trono de juicio, Con su mirar disipa todo mal.	Proverbs 20:8 A king that sitteth on the throne of judgment Scattereth away all evil with his eyes.
Proverbios 20:9 ¿Quién podrá decir: Yo he limpiado mi corazón, Limpio estoy de mi pecado?	Proverbs 20:9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
Proverbios 20:10 Doble pesa y doble medida, Abominación son á Jehová ambas cosas.	Proverbs 20:10 Diverse weights, and diverse measures, Both of them alike are an abomination to Jehovah.
Proverbios 20:11 Aun el muchacho es conocido por sus hechos, Si su obra fuere limpia y recta.	Proverbs 20:11 Even a child maketh himself known by his doings, Whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
Proverbios 20:12 El oído que oye, y el ojo que ve, Ambas cosas ha igualmente hecho Jehová.	Proverbs 20:12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, Jehovah hath made even both of them.
Proverbios 20:13 No ames el sueño, porque no te empobrezcas; Abre tus ojos, y te hartarás de pan.	Proverbs 20:13 Love not sleep, let thou come to poverty; Open thine eyes, [and] thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
Proverbios 20:14 El que compra dice: Malo es, malo es: Mas en apartándose, se alaba.	Proverbs 20:14 It is bad, it is bad, saith the buyer; But when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.
Proverbios 20:15 Hay oro y multitud de piedras preciosas: Mas los labios sabios son vaso precioso.	Proverbs 20:15 There is gold, and abundance of rubies; But the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.
Proverbios 20:16 Quítale su ropa al que salió por fiador del extraño; Y tómale prenda al que fía la extraña.	Proverbs 20:16 Take his garment that is surety for a stranger; And hold him in pledge [that is surety] for foreigners.
Proverbios 20:17 Sabroso es al hombre el pan de mentira; Mas después su boca será llena de cascajo.	Proverbs 20:17 Bread of falsehood is sweet to a man; But afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
Proverbios 20:18 Los pensamientos con el consejo se ordenan: Y con industria se hace la guerra.	Proverbs 20:18 Every purpose is established by counsel; And by wise guidance make thou war.
Proverbios 20:19 El que descubre el secreto, en chismes anda: No te entrometas, pues, con el que lisonjea con sus labios.	Proverbs 20:19 He that goeth about as a tale-bearer revealeth secrets; Therefore company not with him that openeth wide his lips.
Proverbios 20:20 El que maldice á su padre ó á su madre, Su lámpara será apagada en oscuridad tenebrosa.	Proverbs 20:20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, His lamp shall be put out in blackness of darkness.
Proverbios 20:21 La herencia adquirida de priesa al principio, Aun su postrimería no será bendita.	Proverbs 20:21 An inheritance [may be] gotten hastily at the beginning; But the end thereof shall not be blessed.
Proverbios 20:22 No digas, yo me vengaré; Espera á Jehová, y él te salvará.	Proverbs 20:22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil: Wait for Jehovah, and he will save thee.
Proverbios 20:23 Abominación son á Jehová las pesas dobles; Y el peso falso no es bueno.	Proverbs 20:23 Diverse weights are an abomination to Jehovah; And a false balance is not good.
Proverbios 20:24 De Jehová son los pasos del hombre: ¿Cómo pues entenderá el hombre su camino?	Proverbs 20:24 A man's goings are of Jehovah; How then can man understand his way?
Proverbios 20:25 Lazo es al hombre el devorar lo santo, Y andar pesquisando después de los votos.	Proverbs 20:25 It is a snare to a man rashly to say, [It is] holy, And after vows to make inquiry.
Proverbios 20:26 El rey sabio esparce los impíos. Y sobre ellos hace tornar la rueda.	Proverbs 20:26 A wise king winnoweth the wicked, And bringeth the [threshing] -wheel over them.
Proverbios 20:27 Candela de Jehová es el alma del hombre, Que escudriña lo secreto del vientre.	Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of man is the lamp of Jehovah, Searching all his innermost parts.
Proverbios 20:28 Misericordia y verdad guardan al rey; Y con clemencia sustenta su trono.	Proverbs 20:28 Kindness and truth preserve the king; And his throne is upholden by kindness.
Proverbios 20:29 La gloria de los jóvenes es su fortaleza, Y la hermosura de los viejos la vejez.	Proverbs 20:29 The glory of young men is their strength; And the beauty of old men is the hoary head.
Proverbios 20:30 Las señales de las heridas son medicina para lo malo: Y las llagas llegan á lo más secreto del vientre.	Proverbs 20:30 Stripes that wound cleanse away evil; And strokes [reach] the innermost parts.
