| Estas son las generaciones de los hijos de Noé: Sem, Châm y Japhet, á los cuales nacieron hijos después del diluvio. | Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: these are the sons which they had after the great flow of waters |
| Los hijos de Japhet: Gomer, y Magog, y Madai, y Javán, y Tubal, y Meshech, y Tiras. | The sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras. |
| Y los hijos de Gomer: Ashkenaz, y Riphat, y Togorma. | And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah. |
| Y los hijos de Javán: Elisa, y Tarsis, Kittim, y Dodanim. | And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, the Kittim and the Dodanim. |
| Por éstos fueron repartidas las islas de las gentes en sus tierras, cada cual según su lengua, conforme á sus familias en sus naciones. | From these came the nations of the sea-lands, with their different families and languages. |
| Los hijos de Châm: Cush, y Mizraim, y Phut, y Canaán. | And the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan. |
| Y los hijos de Cush: Seba, Havila, y Sabta, y Raama, y Sabtecha. Y los hijos de Raama: Sheba y Dedán. | And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. |
| Y Cush engendró á Nimrod, éste comenzó á ser poderoso en la tierra. | And Cush was the father of Nimrod, who was the first of the great men of the earth. |
| Este fué vigoroso cazador delante de Jehová; por lo cual se dice: Así como Nimrod, vigoroso cazador delante de Jehová. | He was a very great bowman, so that there is a saying, Like Nimrod, a very great bowman. |
| Y fué la cabecera de su reino Babel, y Erech, y Accad, y Calneh, en la tierra de Shinar. | And at the first, his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. |
| De aquesta tierra salió Assur, y edificó á Nínive, y á Rehoboth, y á Calah, | From that land he went out into Assyria, building Nineveh with its wide streets and Calah, |
| Y á Ressen entre Nínive y Calah; la cual es ciudad grande. | And Resen between Nineveh and Calah, which is a very great town. |
| Y Mizraim engendró á Ludim, y á Anamim, y á Lehabim, y á Naphtuhim, | And Mizraim was the father of the Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim; |
| Y á Pathrusim, y á Casluim de donde salieron los Filisteos, y á Caphtorim. | And Pathrusim and Casluhim and Caphtorim, from whom came the Philistines. |
| Y Canaán engendró á Sidón, su primogénito y á Heth, | And Canaan was the father of Zidon, who was his oldest son, and Heth, |
| Y al Jebuseo, y al Amorrheo, y al Gergeseo, | And the Jebusite and the Amorite and the Girgashite, |
| Y al Heveo, y al Araceo, y al Sineo, | And the Hivite and the Arkite and the Sinite, |
| Y al Aradio, y al Samareo, y al Amatheo: y después se derramaron las familias de los Cananeos. | And the Arvadite and the Zemarite and the Hamathite; after that the families of the Canaanites went far and wide in all directions; |
| Y fué el término de los Cananeos desde Sidón, viniendo á Gerar hasta Gaza, hasta entrar en Sodoma y Gomorra, Adma, y Zeboim hasta Lasa. | Their country stretching from Zidon to Gaza, in the direction of Gerar; and to Lasha, in the direction of Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim. |
| Estos son los hijos de Châm por sus familias, por sus lenguas, en sus tierras, en sus naciones. | All these, with their different families, languages, lands, and nations, are the offspring of Ham. |
| También le nacieron hijos á Sem, padre de todos los hijos de Heber, y hermano mayor de Japhet. | And Shem, the older brother of Japheth, the father of the children of Eber, had other sons in addition. |
| Y los hijos de Sem: Elam, y Assur, y Arphaxad, y Lud, y Aram. | These are the sons of Shem: Elam and Asshur and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram. |
| Y los hijos de Aram: Uz, y Hul, y Gether, y Mas. | And the sons of Aram: Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash. |
| Y Arphaxad engendró á Sala, y Sala engendró á Heber. | And Arpachshad became the father of Shelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber. |
| Y á Heber nacieron dos hijos: el nombre de uno fué Peleg, porque en sus días fué repartida la tierra; y el nombre de su hermano, Joctán. | And Eber had two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, because in his time the peoples of the earth became separate; and his brother's name was Joktan. |
| Y Joctán engendró á Almodad, y á Sheleph, y Hazarmaveth, y á Jera, | And Joktan was the father of Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah |
| Y á Hadoram, y á Uzal, y á Dicla, | And Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah |
| Y á Obal, y á Abimael, y á Seba, | And Obal and Abimael and Sheba |
| Y á Ophir, y á Havila, y á Jobad: todos estos fueron hijos de Joctán. | And Ophir and Havilah and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan. |
| Y fué su habitación desde Mesa viniendo de Sephar, monte á la parte del oriente. | And their country was from Mesha, in the direction of Sephar, the mountain of the east. |
| Estos fueron los hijos de Sem por sus familias, por sus lenguas, en sus tierras, en sus naciones. | These, with their families and their languages and their lands and their nations, are the offspring of Shem. |
| Estas son las familias de Noé por sus descendencias, en sus naciones; y de éstos fueron divididas las gentes en la tierra después del diluvio. | These are the families of the sons of Noah, in the order of their generations and their nations: from these came all the nations of the earth after the great flow of waters. |
