Génesis 23:1 Y Fué la vida de Sara ciento veintisiete años: tantos fueron los años de la vida de Sara.	Genesis 23:1 Now the years of Sarah's life were a hundred and twenty-seven.
Génesis 23:2 Y murió Sara en Kiriath-arba, que es Hebrón, en la tierra de Canaán: y vino Abraham á hacer el duelo á Sara y á llorarla.	Genesis 23:2 And Sarah's death took place in Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron, in the land of Canaan: and Abraham went into his house, weeping and sorrowing for Sarah.
Génesis 23:3 Y levantóse Abraham de delante de su muerto, y habló á los hijos de Heth, diciendo:	Genesis 23:3 And Abraham came from his dead and said to the children of Heth,
Génesis 23:4 Peregrino y advenedizo soy entre vosotros; dadme heredad de sepultura con vosotros, y sepultaré mi muerto de delante de mí.	Genesis 23:4 I am living among you as one from a strange country: give me some land here as my property, so that I may put my dead to rest.
Génesis 23:5 Y respondieron los hijos de Heth á Abraham, y dijéronle:	Genesis 23:5 And in answer the children of Heth said to Abraham,
Génesis 23:6 Oyenos, señor mío, eres un príncipe de Dios entre nosotros; en lo mejor de nuestras sepulturas sepulta á tu muerto; ninguno de nosotros te impedirá su sepultura, para que entierres tu muerto.	Genesis 23:6 My lord, truly you are a great chief among us; take the best of our resting-places for your dead; not one of us will keep back from you a place where you may put your dead to rest.
Génesis 23:7 Y Abraham se levantó, é inclinóse al pueblo de aquella tierra, á los hijos de Heth;	Genesis 23:7 And Abraham got up and gave honour to the children of Heth, the people of that land.
Génesis 23:8 Y habló con ellos, diciendo: Si tenéis voluntad que yo sepulte mi muerto de delante de mí, oidme, é interceded por mí con Ephrón, hijo de Zohar,	Genesis 23:8 And he said to them, If you will let me put my dead to rest here, make a request for me to Ephron, the son of Zohar,
Génesis 23:9 Para que me dé la cueva de Macpela, que tiene al cabo de su heredad: que por su justo precio me la dé, para posesión de sepultura en medio de vosotros.	Genesis 23:9 That he will give me the hollow in the rock named Machpelah, which is his property at the end of his field; let him give it to me for its full price as a resting-place for my dead among you.
Génesis 23:10 Este Ephrón hallábase entre los hijos de Heth: y respondió Ephrón Hetheo á Abraham, en oídos de los hijos de Heth, de todos los que entraban por la puerta de su ciudad, diciendo:	Genesis 23:10 Now Ephron was seated among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite gave Abraham his answer in the hearing of the children of Heth, and of all those who came into his town, saying,
Génesis 23:11 No, señor mío, óyeme: te doy la heredad, y te doy también la cueva que está en ella; delante de los hijos de mi pueblo te la doy; sepulta tu muerto.	Genesis 23:11 No, my lord, I will give you the field with the hollow in the rock; before all the children of my people will I give it to you for a resting-place for your dead.
Génesis 23:12 Y Abraham se inclinó delante del pueblo de la tierra.	Genesis 23:12 And Abraham went down on his face before the people of the land.
Génesis 23:13 Y respondió á Ephrón en oídos del pueblo de la tierra, diciendo: Antes, si te place, ruégote que me oigas; yo daré el precio de la heredad, tómalo de mí, y sepultaré en ella mi muerto.	Genesis 23:13 And Abraham said to Ephron, in the hearing of the people of the land, If only you will give ear to me, I will give you the price of the field; take it, and let me put my dead to rest there.
Génesis 23:14 Y respondió Ephrón á Abraham, diciéndole:	Genesis 23:14 So Ephron said to Abraham,
Génesis 23:15 Señor mío, escúchame: la tierra vale cuatrocientos siclos de plata: ¿qué es esto entre mí y ti? entierra pues tu muerto.	Genesis 23:15 My lord, give ear to me: the value of the land is four hundred shekels; what is that between me and you? so put your dead to rest there.
Génesis 23:16 Entonces Abraham se convino con Ephrón, y pesó Abraham á Ephrón el dinero que dijo, oyéndolo los hijos de Heth, cuatrocientos siclos de plata, de buena ley entre mercaderes.	Genesis 23:16 And Abraham took note of the price fixed by Ephron in the hearing of the children of Heth, and gave him four hundred shekels in current money.
Génesis 23:17 Y quedó la heredad de Ephrón que estaba en Macpela enfrente de Mamre, la heredad y la cueva que estaba en ella, y todos los árboles que había en la heredad, y en todo su término al derredor,	Genesis 23:17 So Ephron's field at Machpelah near Mamre, with the hollow in the rock and all the trees in the field and round it,
Génesis 23:18 Por de Abraham en posesión, á vista de los hijos de Heth, y de todos los que entraban por la puerta de la ciudad.	Genesis 23:18 Became the property of Abraham before the eyes of the children of Heth and of all who came into the town.
Génesis 23:19 Y después de esto sepultó Abraham á Sara su mujer en la cueva de la heredad de Macpela enfrente de Mamre, que es Hebrón en la tierra de Canaán.	Genesis 23:19 Then Abraham put Sarah his wife to rest in the hollow rock in the field of Machpelah near Mamre, that is, Hebron in the land of Canaan.
Génesis 23:20 Y quedó la heredad y la cueva que en ella había, por de Abraham, en posesión de sepultura adquirida de los hijos de Heth.	Genesis 23:20 And the field and the hollow rock were handed over to Abraham as his property by the children of Heth.
