Jeremías 41:1 Y ACONTECIO en el mes séptimo, que vino Ismael hijo de Nethanías, hijo de Elisama, de la simiente real, y algunos príncipes del rey, y diez hombres con él, á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam en Mizpa; y comieron pan juntos allí en Mizpa.	Jeremiah 41:1 Now it came about in the seventh month that Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the king's seed, having with him ten men, came to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, in Mizpah; and they had a meal together in Mizpah.
Jeremías 41:2 Y levantóse Ismael hijo de Nethanías, y los diez hombres que con él estaban, é hirieron á cuchillo á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Saphán, matando así á aquel á quien el rey de Babilonia había puesto sobre la tierra.	Jeremiah 41:2 Then Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men who were with him, got up, and attacking Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword, put to death him whom the king of Babylon had made ruler over the land.
Jeremías 41:3 Asimismo hirió Ismael á todos los Judíos que estaban con él, con Gedalías en Mizpa, y á los soldados Caldeos que allí se hallaron.	Jeremiah 41:3 And Ishmael put to death all the Jews who were with him, even with Gedaliah, at Mizpah, and the Chaldaean men of war.
Jeremías 41:4 Sucedió además, un día después que mató á Gedalías, cuando nadie lo sabía aún,	Jeremiah 41:4 Now on the second day after he had put Gedaliah to death, when no one had knowledge of it,
Jeremías 41:5 Que venían unos hombres de Sichêm y de Silo y de Samaria, ochenta hombres, raída la barba, y rotas las ropas, y arañados y traían en sus manos ofrenda y perfume para llevar á la casa de Jehová.	Jeremiah 41:5 Some people came from Shechem, from Shiloh and Samaria, eighty men, with the hair of their faces cut off and their clothing out of order, and with cuts on their bodies, and in their hands meal offerings and perfumes which they were taking to the house of the Lord.
Jeremías 41:6 Y de Mizpa salióles al encuentro, llorando, Ismael hijo de Nethanías: y aconteció que como los encontró, díjoles: Venid á Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam.	Jeremiah 41:6 And Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, went out from Mizpah with the purpose of meeting them, weeping on his way: and it came about that when he was face to face with them he said, Come to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam.
Jeremías 41:7 Y fue que cuando llegaron al medio de la ciudad, Ismael hijo de Nethanías los degolló, y echólos en medio de un aljibe, él y los hombres que con él estaban.	Jeremiah 41:7 And when they came inside the town, Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and the men who were with him, put them to death and put their bodies into a deep hole.
Jeremías 41:8 Mas entre aquellos fueron hallados diez hombres que dijeron á Ismael: No nos mates; porque tenemos en el campo tesoros de trigos, y cebadas, y aceite, y miel. Y dejólos, y no los mató entre sus hermanos.	Jeremiah 41:8 But there were ten men among them who said to Ishmael, Do not put us to death, for we have secret stores, in the country, of grain and oil and honey. So he did not put them to death with their countrymen.
Jeremías 41:9 Y el aljibe en que echó Ismael todos los cuerpos de los hombres que hirió por causa de Gedalías, era el mismo que había hecho el rey Asa por causa de Baasa, rey de Israel: llenólo de muertos Ismael, hijo de Nethanías.	Jeremiah 41:9 Now the hole into which Ishmael had put the dead bodies of the men whom he had put to death, was the great hole which Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha, king of Israel: and Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, made it full of the bodies of those who had been put to death.
Jeremías 41:10 Después llevó Ismael cautivo á todo el resto del pueblo que estaba en Mizpa; á las hijas del rey, y á todo el pueblo que en Mizpa había quedado, el cual había Nabuzaradán capitán de la guardia encargado á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam. Llevólos pues cautivos Ismael hijo de Nethanías, y se fué para pasarse á los hijos de Ammón.	Jeremiah 41:10 Then Ishmael took away as prisoners all the rest of the people who were in Mizpah, the king's daughters and all the people still in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, had put under the care of Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam: Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, took them away prisoners with the purpose of going over to the children of Ammon.
Jeremías 41:11 Y oyó Johanán hijo de Carea, y todos los príncipes de la gente de guerra que estaban con él, todo el mal que había hecho Ismael, hijo de Nethanías.	Jeremiah 41:11 But when Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the armed forces who were with him, had news of all the evil which Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, had done,
Jeremías 41:12 Entonces tomaron todos los hombres, y fueron á pelear con Ismael hijo de Nethanías, y halláronlo junto á Aguas-muchas, que es en Gabaón.	Jeremiah 41:12 They took their men and went out to make war on Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and they came face to face with him by the great waters in Gibeon.
Jeremías 41:13 Y aconteció que como todo el pueblo que estaba con Ismael vió á Johanán hijo de Carea, y á todos los príncipes de la gente de guerra que estaban con él, se alegraron.	Jeremiah 41:13 Now when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces with him, then they were glad.
Jeremías 41:14 Y todo el pueblo que Ismael había traído cautivo de Mizpa, tornáronse, y volvieron, y fuéronse á Johanán hijo de Carea.	Jeremiah 41:14 And all the people whom Ishmael had taken away prisoners from Mizpah, turning round, came back and went to Johanan, the son of Kareah.
Jeremías 41:15 Mas Ismael hijo de Nethanías se escapó delante de Johanán con ocho hombres, y se fué á los hijos de Ammón.	Jeremiah 41:15 But Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, got away from Johanan, with eight men, and went to the children of Ammon.
Jeremías 41:16 Y Johanán hijo de Carea, y todos los príncipes de la gente de guerra que con él estaban, tomaron todo el resto del pueblo que habían recobrado de Ismael hijo de Nethanías, de Mizpa, después que hirió á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam: hombres de guerra, y mujeres, y niños, y los eunucos que Johanán había hecho tornar de Gabaón;	Jeremiah 41:16 Then Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, took all the rest of the people whom Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, had made prisoners, after he had put to death Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the people from Mizpah, that is, the men of war and the women and the children and the unsexed servants, whom he had taken back with him from Gibeon:
Jeremías 41:17 Y fueron y habitaron en Geruth-chimham, que es cerca de Bethlehem, á fin de partir y meterse en Egipto,	Jeremiah 41:17 And they went and were living in the resting-place of Chimham, which is near Beth-lehem on the way into Egypt,
Jeremías 41:18 Por causa de los Caldeos: porque temían de ellos, por haber herido Ismael hijo de Nethanías á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, al cual el rey de Babilonia había puesto sobre la tierra.	Jeremiah 41:18 Because of the Chaldaeans: for they were in fear of them because Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, had put to death Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had made ruler over the land.
