Joel 1:1 PALABRA de Jehová que fué á Joel hijo de Pethuel.	Joel 1:1 The word of the Lord which came to Joel, the son of Pethuel.
Joel 1:2 Oid esto, viejos, y escuchad, todos los moradores de la tierra. ¿Ha acontecido esto en vuestros días, ó en los días de vuestros padres?	Joel 1:2 Give ear to this, you old men, and take note, you people of the land. Has this ever been in your days, or in the days of your fathers?
Joel 1:3 De esto contaréis á vuestros hijos, y vuestros hijos á sus hijos, y su hijos á la otra generación.	Joel 1:3 Give the story of it to your children, and let them give it to their children, and their children to another generation.
Joel 1:4 Lo que quedó de la oruga comió la langosta, y lo que quedó de la langosta comió el pulgón; y el revoltón comió lo que del pulgón había quedado.	Joel 1:4 What the worm did not make a meal of, has been taken by the locust; and what the locust did not take, has been food for the plant-worm; and what the plant-worm did not take, has been food for the field-fly.
Joel 1:5 Despertad, borrachos, y llorad; aullad todos los que bebéis vino, á causa del mosto, porque os es quitado de vuestra boca.	Joel 1:5 Come out of your sleep, you who are overcome with wine, and give yourselves to weeping; give cries of sorrow, all you drinkers of wine, because of the sweet wine; for it has been cut off from your mouths.
Joel 1:6 Porque gente subió á mi tierra, fuerte y sin número; sus dientes, dientes de león, y sus muelas, de león.	Joel 1:6 For a nation has come up over my land, strong and without number; his teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he has the back teeth of a great lion.
Joel 1:7 Asoló mi vid, y descortezó mi higuera: del todo la desnudó y derribó: sus ramas quedaron blancas.	Joel 1:7 By him my vine is made waste and my fig-tree broken: he has taken all its fruit and sent it down to the earth; its branches are made white.
Joel 1:8 Llora tú como moza vestida de saco por el marido de su juventud.	Joel 1:8 Make sounds of grief like a virgin dressed in haircloth for the husband of her early years.
Joel 1:9 Pereció el presente y la libación de la casa de Jehová: los sacerdotes ministros de Jehová hicieron luto.	Joel 1:9 The meal offering and the drink offering have been cut off from the house of the Lord; the priests, the Lord's servants, are sorrowing.
Joel 1:10 El campo fué destruído, enlutóse la tierra; porque el trigo fué destuído, se secó el mosto, perdióse el aceite.	Joel 1:10 The fields are wasted, the land has become dry; for the grain is wasted, the new wine is kept back, the oil is poor.
Joel 1:11 Confundíos, labradores, aullad, viñeros, por el trigo y la cebada; porque se perdió la mies del campo.	Joel 1:11 The farmers are shamed, the workers in the vine-gardens give cries of grief, for the wheat and the barley; for the produce of the fields has come to destruction.
Joel 1:12 Secóse la vid, y pereció la higuera, el granado también, la palma, y el manzano; secáronse todos los árboles del campo; por lo cual se secó el gozo de los hijos de los hombres.	Joel 1:12 The vine has become dry and the fig-tree is feeble; the pomegranate and the palm-tree and the apple-tree, even all the trees of the field, are dry: because joy has gone from the sons of men.
Joel 1:13 Ceñíos y lamentad, sacerdotes; aullad, ministros del altar; venid, dormid en sacos, ministros de mi Dios: porque quitado es de la casa de vuestro Dios el presente y la libación.	Joel 1:13 Put haircloth round you and give yourselves to sorrow, you priests; give cries of grief, you servants of the altar: come in, and, clothed in haircloth, let the night go past, you servants of my God: for the meal offering and the drink offering have been kept back from the house of your God.
Joel 1:14 Pregonad ayuno, llamad á congregación; congregad los ancianos y todos los moradores de la tierra en la casa de Jehová vuestro Dios, y clamad á Jehová.	Joel 1:14 Let a time be fixed for going without food, have a holy meeting, let the old men, even all the people of the land, come together to the house of the Lord your God, crying out to the Lord.
Joel 1:15 ¡Ay del día! porque cercano está el día de Jehová, y vendrá como destrucción por el Todopoderoso.	Joel 1:15 Sorrow for the day! for the day of the Lord is near, and as destruction from the Ruler of all it will come.
Joel 1:16 ¿No es quitado el mantenimiento de delante de nuestros ojos, la alegría y el placer de la casa de nuestro Dios?	Joel 1:16 Is not food cut off before our eyes? joy and delight from the house of our God?
Joel 1:17 El grano se pudrió debajo de sus terrones, los bastimentos fueron asolados, los alfolíes destruídos; porque se secó el trigo.	Joel 1:17 The grains have become small and dry under the spade; the store-houses are made waste, the grain-stores are broken down; for the grain is dry and dead.
Joel 1:18 ¡Cuánto gimieron las bestias! ¡cuán turbados anduvieron los hatos de los bueyes, porque no tuvieron pastos! también fueron asolados los rebaños de las ovejas.	Joel 1:18 What sounds of pain come from the beasts! the herds of cattle are at a loss because there is no grass for them; even the flocks of sheep are no longer to be seen.
Joel 1:19 A ti, oh Jehová, clamaré: porque fuego consumió los pastos del desierto, y llama abrasó todos los árboles del campo.	Joel 1:19 O Lord, my cry goes up to you: for fire has put an end to the grass-lands of the waste, and all the trees of the field are burned with its flame.
Joel 1:20 Las bestias del campo bramarán también á ti; porque se secaron los arroyos de las aguas, y fuego consumió las praderías del desierto.	Joel 1:20 The beasts of the field are turning to you with desire: for the water-streams are dry and fire has put an end to the grass-lands of the waste.
