Luke 7

Lucas 7:1 ^
Y COMO acabó todas sus palabras oyéndole el pueblo, entró en Capernaum.
Luke 7:1 ^
After he had come to the end of all his words in the hearing of the people, he went into Capernaum.
Lucas 7:2 ^
Y el siervo de un centurión, al cual tenía él en estima, estaba enfermo y á punto de morir.
Luke 7:2 ^
And a certain captain had a servant who was very dear to him; this servant was ill and near to death.
Lucas 7:3 ^
Y como oyó hablar de Jesús, envió á él los ancianos de los Judíos, rogándole que viniese y librase á su siervo.
Luke 7:3 ^
And when news of Jesus came to his ears, he sent to him rulers of the Jews, requesting that he would come and make his servant well.
Lucas 7:4 ^
Y viniendo ellos á Jesús, rogáronle con diligencia, diciéndole: Porque es digno de concederle esto;
Luke 7:4 ^
And they, when they came to Jesus, made their request warmly, saying,
Lucas 7:5 ^
Que ama nuestra nación, y él nos edificó una sinagoga.
Luke 7:5 ^
It is right for you to do this for him, because he is a friend to our nation, and himself has put up a Synagogue for us.
Lucas 7:6 ^
Y Jesús fué con ellos. Mas como ya no estuviesen lejos de su casa, envió el centurión amigos á él, diciéndole: Señor, no te incomodes, que no soy digno que entres debajo de mi tejado;
Luke 7:6 ^
And Jesus went with them. And when he was not far from the house, the man sent friends to him, saying, Lord, do not give yourself trouble: for I am not important enough for you to come into my house:
Lucas 7:7 ^
Por lo cual ni aun me tuve por digno de venir á ti; mas di la palabra, y mi siervo será sano.
Luke 7:7 ^
And I had the feeling that I was not even good enough to come to you: but say the word only, and my servant will be well.
Lucas 7:8 ^
Porque también yo soy hombre puesto en potestad, que tengo debajo de mí soldados; y digo á éste: Ve, y va; y al otro: Ven, y viene; y á mi siervo: Haz esto, y lo hace.
Luke 7:8 ^
For I, myself, am a man under authority, having men under me; and I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.
Lucas 7:9 ^
Lo cual oyendo Jesús, se maravilló de él, y vuelto, dijo á las gentes que le seguían: Os digo que ni aun en Israel he hallado tanta fe.
Luke 7:9 ^
And when these things were said to Jesus, he was surprised, and, turning to the mass of people coming after him, said, I have not seen such great faith, no, not in Israel.
Lucas 7:10 ^
Y vueltos á casa los que habían sido enviados, hallaron sano al siervo que había estado enfermo.
Luke 7:10 ^
And when those who were sent came back to the house they saw that the servant was well.
Lucas 7:11 ^
Y aconteció después, que él iba á la ciudad que se llama Naín, é iban con él muchos de sus discípulos, y gran compañía.
Luke 7:11 ^
And it came about, after a little time, that he went to a town named Nain; and his disciples went with him, and a great number of people.
Lucas 7:12 ^
Y como llegó cerca de la puerta de la ciudad, he aquí que sacaban fuera á un difunto, unigénito de su madre, la cual también era viuda: y había con ella grande compañía de la ciudad.
Luke 7:12 ^
Now when he came near the door of the town, a dead man was being taken out, the only son of his mother, who was a widow: and a great number of people from the town were with her.
Lucas 7:13 ^
Y como el Señor la vió, compadecióse de ella, y le dice: No llores.
Luke 7:13 ^
And when the Lord saw her, he had pity on her and said to her, Be not sad.
Lucas 7:14 ^
Y acercándose, tocó el féretro: y los que lo llevaban, pararon. Y dice: Mancebo, á ti digo, levántate.
Luke 7:14 ^
And he came near, and put his hand on the stretcher where the dead man was: and those who were moving it came to a stop. And he said, Young man, I say to you, Get up.
Lucas 7:15 ^
Entonces se incorporó el que había muerto, y comenzó á hablar. Y dióle á su madre.
Luke 7:15 ^
And the dead man got up, and words came from his lips. And he gave him to his mother.
Lucas 7:16 ^
Y todos tuvieron miedo, y glorificaban á Dios, diciendo: Que un gran profeta se ha levantado entre nosotros; y que Dios ha visitado á su pueblo.
Luke 7:16 ^
And fear came on all, and they gave praise to God, saying, A great prophet is among us: and, God has given thought to his people.
Lucas 7:17 ^
Y salió esta fama de él por toda Judea, y por toda la tierra de alrededor.
Luke 7:17 ^
And this story about him went through all Judaea and the places round about.
Lucas 7:18 ^
Y sus discípulos dieron á Juan las nuevas de todas estas cosas: y llamó Juan á dos de sus discípulos,
Luke 7:18 ^
And the disciples of John gave him an account of all these things.
Lucas 7:19 ^
Y envió á Jesús, diciendo: ¿Eres tú aquél que había de venir, ó esperaremos á otro?
Luke 7:19 ^
Then John sent two of his disciples to the Lord, saying, Are you he who is to come, or are we waiting for another?
Lucas 7:20 ^
Y como los hombres vinieron á él, dijeron: Juan el Bautista nos ha enviado á ti, diciendo: ¿Eres tú aquél que había de venir, ó esperaremos á otro?
Luke 7:20 ^
And when the men came to him they said, John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, Are you he who is to come, or are we waiting for another?
Lucas 7:21 ^
Y en la misma hora sanó á muchos de enfermedades y plagas, y de espíritus malos; y á muchos ciegos dió la vista.
Luke 7:21 ^
At that time, he made a number of people free from their diseases and their pains, and from evil spirits; and to others who were blind he gave back the use of their eyes.
Lucas 7:22 ^
Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Id, dad las nuevas á Juan de lo que habéis visto y oído: que los ciegos ven, los cojos andan, los leprosos son limpiados, los sordos oyen, los muertos resucitan, á los pobres es anunciado el evangelio:
Luke 7:22 ^
And answering them he said, Go back and give news to John of what you have seen, and the things which have come to your ears; the blind now see, those who had no power in their legs are walking, lepers are made clean, those who had no hearing now have their ears open, dead men come to life again, and the poor have the good news given to them.
Lucas 7:23 ^
Y bienaventurado es el que no fuere escandalizado en mí.
Luke 7:23 ^
And a blessing will be on him who has no doubts about me.
Lucas 7:24 ^
Y como se fueron los mensajeros de Juan, comenzó á hablar de Juan á las gentes: ¿Qué salisteis á ver al desierto? ¿una caña que es agitada por el viento?
Luke 7:24 ^
And when the men who were sent by John had gone away, he said to the people, about John, What did you go out into the waste land to see? a tall stem moving in the wind?
Lucas 7:25 ^
Mas ¿qué salisteis á ver? ¿un hombre cubierto de vestidos delicados? He aquí, los que están en vestido precioso, y viven en delicias, en los palacios de los reyes están.
Luke 7:25 ^
But what did you go out to see? a man in soft clothing? See now, those who have beautiful clothing and delicate food are in kings' houses.
Lucas 7:26 ^
Mas ¿qué salisteis á ver? ¿un profeta? También os digo, y aun más que profeta.
Luke 7:26 ^
But what did you go out to see? a prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.
Lucas 7:27 ^
Este es de quien está escrito: He aquí, envío mi mensajero delante de tu faz, El cual aparejará tu camino delante de ti.
Luke 7:27 ^
This is he of whom it has been said, See, I send my servant before your face, who will make ready your way before you.
Lucas 7:28 ^
Porque os digo que entre los nacidos de mujeres, no hay mayor profeta que Juan el Bautista: mas el más pequeño en el reino de los cielos es mayor que él.
Luke 7:28 ^
I say to you, Among all the sons of women, not one is greater than John: but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
Lucas 7:29 ^
Y todo el pueblo oyéndole, y los publicanos, justificaron á Dios, bautizándose con el bautismo de Juan.
Luke 7:29 ^
(And all the people, and the tax-farmers, to whom John had given baptism, when they had knowledge of these things, gave glory to God.
Lucas 7:30 ^
Mas los Fariseos y los sabios de la ley, desecharon el consejo de Dios contra sí mismos, no siendo bautizados de él.
Luke 7:30 ^
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were against the purpose of God for themselves, not having had his baptism.)
Lucas 7:31 ^
Y dice el Señor: ¿A quién, pues, compararé los hombres de esta generación, y á qué son semejantes?
Luke 7:31 ^
What comparison am I to make of the men of this generation? what are they like?
Lucas 7:32 ^
Semejantes son á los muchachos sentados en la plaza, y que dan voces los unos á los otros, y dicen: Os tañimos con flautas, y no bailasteis: os endechamos, y no llorasteis.
Luke 7:32 ^
They are like children who are seated in the market-place, crying out to one another, and saying, We made music for you, but you did not take part in the dance; we gave cries of sorrow, but you were not sad.
Lucas 7:33 ^
Porque vino Juan el Bautista, que ni comía pan, ni bebía vino, y decís: Demonio tiene.
Luke 7:33 ^
For John the Baptist came, taking no food or drink, and you say, He has an evil spirit.
Lucas 7:34 ^
Vino el Hijo del hombre, que come y bebe, y decís: He aquí un hombre comilón, y bebedor de vino, amigo de publicanos y de pecadores.
Luke 7:34 ^
The Son of man came feasting, and you say, Here is a lover of food and wine, a friend of tax-farmers and sinners.
Lucas 7:35 ^
Mas la sabiduría es justificada de todos sus hijos.
Luke 7:35 ^
But wisdom is judged to be right by all her children.
Lucas 7:36 ^
Y le rogó uno de los Fariseos, que comiese con él. Y entrado en casa del Fariseo, sentóse á la mesa.
Luke 7:36 ^
And one of the Pharisees made a request that he would take a meal with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house and took his seat at the table.
Lucas 7:37 ^
Y he aquí una mujer que había sido pecadora en la ciudad, como entendió que estaba á la mesa en casa de aquel Fariseo, trajo un alabastro de ungüento,
Luke 7:37 ^
And there was a woman in the town who was a sinner; and when she had news that he was a guest in the Pharisee's house, she took a bottle of perfume,
Lucas 7:38 ^
Y estando detrás á sus pies, comenzó llorando á regar con lágrimas sus pies, y los limpiaba con los cabellos de su cabeza; y besaba sus pies, y los ungía con el ungüento.
Luke 7:38 ^
And went in and took her place at the back of him, near his feet, weeping, so that his feet were washed with the drops from her eyes, and with her hair she made them dry, and kissing his feet she put the perfume on them.
Lucas 7:39 ^
Y como vió esto el Fariseo que le había convidado, habló entre sí, diciendo: Este, si fuera profeta, conocería quién y cuál es la mujer que le toca, que es pecadora.
Luke 7:39 ^
Now when the Pharisee in whose house he was saw it, he said to himself, This man, if he was a prophet, would be conscious what sort of woman this is who has put her hands on him, that she is a sinner.
Lucas 7:40 ^
Entonces respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Simón, una cosa tengo que decirte. Y él dice: Di, Maestro.
Luke 7:40 ^
And Jesus, answering, said, Simon, I have something to say to you. And he said, Master, say on.
Lucas 7:41 ^
Un acredor tenía dos deudores: el uno le debía quinientos denarios, y el otro cincuenta;
Luke 7:41 ^
And he said, Two men were in debt to a certain man of business: one had a debt of five hundred pence, and the other of fifty.
Lucas 7:42 ^
Y no teniendo ellos de qué pagar, perdonó á ambos. Di, pues, ¿cuál de éstos le amará más?
Luke 7:42 ^
When they were unable to make payment, he made the two of them free of their debts. Which of them, now, will have the greater love for him?
Lucas 7:43 ^
Y respondiendo Simón, dijo: Pienso que aquél al cual perdonó más. Y él le dijo: Rectamente has juzgado.
Luke 7:43 ^
Simon, in answer, said, It seems he whose debt was greater. And he said, Your decision is right.
Lucas 7:44 ^
Y vuelto á la mujer, dijo á Simón: ¿Ves esta mujer? Entré en tu casa, no diste agua para mis pies; mas ésta ha regado mis pies con lágrimas, y los ha limpiado con los cabellos.
Luke 7:44 ^
And turning to the woman he said to Simon, You see this woman? I came into your house; you did not give me water for my feet: but she has been washing my feet with the drops from her eyes, and drying them with her hair.
Lucas 7:45 ^
No me diste beso, mas ésta, desde que entré, no ha cesado de besar mis pies.
Luke 7:45 ^
You did not give me a kiss: but she, from the time when I came in, has gone on kissing my feet.
Lucas 7:46 ^
No ungiste mi cabeza con óleo; mas ésta ha ungido con ungüento mis pies.
Luke 7:46 ^
You put no oil on my head: but she has put perfume on my feet.
Lucas 7:47 ^
Por lo cual te digo que sus muchos pecados son perdonados, porque amó mucho; mas al que se perdona poco, poco ama.
Luke 7:47 ^
And so I say to you, She will have forgiveness for her sins which are great in number, because of her great love: but he who has small need of forgiveness gives little love.
Lucas 7:48 ^
Y á ella dijo: Los pecados te son perdonados.
Luke 7:48 ^
And he said to her, You have forgiveness for your sins.
Lucas 7:49 ^
Y los que estaban juntamente sentados á la mesa, comenzaron á decir entre sí: ¿Quién es éste, que también perdona pecados?
Luke 7:49 ^
And those who were seated at table with him said to themselves, Who is this who even gives forgiveness of sins?
Lucas 7:50 ^
Y dijo á la mujer: Tu fe te ha salvado, ve en paz.
Luke 7:50 ^
And he said to the woman, By your faith you have salvation; go in peace.
