| Y OTRA vez entró en la sinagoga; y había allí un hombre que tenía una mano seca. | And he went again into the Synagogue; and there was a man there whose hand was dead. |
| Y le acechaban si en sábado le sanaría, para acusarle. | And they were watching him to see if he would make him well on the Sabbath day, so that they might have something against him. |
| Entonces dijo al hombre que tenía la mano seca: Levántate en medio. | And he said to the man, Get up and come forward. |
| Y les dice: ¿Es lícito hacer bien en sábado, ó hacer mal? ¿salvar la vida, ó quitarla? Mas ellos callaban. | And he said to them, Is it right to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil? to give life or to put to death? But they said nothing. |
| Y mirándolos alrededor con enojo, condoleciéndose de la ceguedad de su corazón, dice al hombre: Extiende tu mano. Y la extendió, y su mano fué restituída sana. | And looking round on them he was angry, being sad because of their hard hearts; and he said to the man, Put out your hand. And he put it out, and his hand was made well. |
| Entonces saliendo los Fariseos, tomaron consejo con los Herodianos contra él, para matarle. | And the Pharisees went out, and straight away made designs with the Herodians about how they might put him to death. |
| Mas Jesús se apartó á la mar con sus discípulos: y le siguió gran multitud de Galilea, y de Judea. | And Jesus went away with his disciples to the sea, and a great number from Galilee came after him: and from Judaea, |
| Y de Jerusalem, y de Idumea, y de la otra parte del Jordán. Y los de alrededor de Tiro y de Sidón, grande multitud, oyendo cuán grandes cosas hacía, vinieron á él. | And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and the other side of Jordan, and the country about Tyre and Sidon, a great number, hearing what great things he did, came to him. |
| Y dijo á sus discípulos que le estuviese siempre apercibida la barquilla, por causa del gentío, para que no le oprimiesen. | And he made a request to his disciples to have a little boat ready for him, so that he might not be crushed by the people; |
| Porque había sanado á muchos; de manera que caían sobre él cuantos tenían plagas, por tocarle. | For he had made such a great number well that all those who were diseased were falling down before him for the purpose of touching him. |
| Y los espíritus inmundos, al verle, se postraban delante de él, y daban voces, diciendo: Tú eres el Hijo de Dios. | And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, went down before him, crying out, and saying, You are the Son of God. |
| Mas él les reñía mucho que no le manifestasen. | And he gave them special orders not to say who he was. |
| Y subió al monte, y llamó á sí á los que él quiso; y vinieron á él. | And he went up into the mountain, and sent for those whom it was his pleasure to have with him: and they went to him. |
| Y estableció doce, para que estuviesen con él, y para enviarlos á predicar. | And he took twelve to be with him, so that he might send them out as preachers, |
| Y que tuviesen potestad de sanar enfermedades, y de echar fuera demonios: | And give them the power of driving out evil spirits: |
| A Simón, al cual puso por nombre Pedro; | To Simon he gave the second name of Peter; |
| Y á Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y á Juan hermano de Jacobo; y les apellidó Boanerges, que es, Hijos del trueno; | And to James, the son of Zebedee, and John, the brother of James, he gave the second name of Boanerges, which is, Sons of thunder: |
| Y á Andrés, y á Felipe, y á Bartolomé, y á Mateo, y á Tomas, y á Jacobo hijo de Alfeo, y á Tadeo, y á Simón el Cananita, | And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Zealot; |
| Y á Judas Iscariote, el que le entregó. Y vinieron á casa. | And Judas Iscariot, who was false to him. |
| Y agolpóse de nuevo la gente, de modo que ellos ni aun podían comer pan. | And he went into a house. And the people came together again, so that they were not even able to take bread. |
| Y como lo oyeron los suyos, vinieron para prenderle: porque decían: Está fuera de sí. | And when his friends had news of it, they went out to get him, saying, He is off his head. |
| Y los escribas que habían venido de Jerusalem, decían que tenía á Beelzebub, y que por el príncipe de los demonios echaba fuera los demonios. | And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem, said, He has Beelzebub, and, By the ruler of evil spirits he sends evil spirits out of men. |
| Y habiéndolos llamado, les decía en parábolas: ¿Cómo puede Satanás echar fuera á Satanás? | And turning to them, he said to them in the form of a story, How is it possible for Satan to put out Satan? |
| Y si algún reino contra sí mismo fuere dividido, no puede permanecer el tal reino. | If there is division in a kingdom, that kingdom will come to destruction; |
| Y si alguna casa fuere dividida contra sí misma, no puede permanecer la tal casa. | And if there is division in a house, that house will come to destruction; |
| Y si Satanás se levantare contra sí mismo, y fuere dividido, no puede permanecer; antes tiene fin. | And if Satan is at war with himself, and there is division in him, he will not keep his place but will come to an end. |
| Nadie puede saquear las alhajas del valiente entrando en su casa, si antes no atare al valiente y entonces saqueará su casa. | But no one is able to go into the house of the strong man and take his goods, without first putting cords round the strong man, and then he will take his goods. |
| De cierto os digo que todos los pecados serán perdonados á los hijos de los hombres, y las blasfemias cualesquiera con que blasfemaren; | Truly, I say to you, The sons of men will have forgiveness for all their sins and for all the evil words they say: |
| Mas cualquiera que blasfemare contra el Espíritu Santo, no tiene jamás perdón, mas está expuesto á eterno juicio. | But whoever says evil things against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness, but the evil he has done will be with him for ever: |
| Porque decían: Tiene espíritu inmundo. | Because they said, He has an unclean spirit. |
| Vienen después sus hermanos y su madre, y estando fuera, enviaron á él llamándole. | And his mother and brothers came and were outside, and sent for him, requesting to see him. |
| Y la gente estaba sentada alrededor de él, y le dijeron: He aquí, tu madre y tus hermanos te buscan fuera. | And a great number were seated round him; and they said to him, See, your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you. |
| Y él les respondió, diciendo: ¿Quién es mi madre y mis hermanos? | And he said in answer, Who are my mother and my brothers? |
| Y mirando á los que estaban sentados alrededor de él, dijo: He aquí mi madre y hermanos. | And looking round at those who were seated about him, he said, See, my mother and my brothers! |
| Porque cualquiera que hiciere la voluntad de Dios, éste es mi hermano, y mi hermana, y mi madre. | Whoever does God's pleasure, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. |
