Proverbios 1:1 LOS proverbios de Salomón, hijo de David, rey de Israel:	Proverbs 1:1 The wise sayings of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel.
Proverbios 1:2 Para entender sabiduría y doctrina; Para conocer las razones prudentes;	Proverbs 1:2 To have knowledge of wise teaching; to be clear about the words of reason:
Proverbios 1:3 Para recibir el consejo de prudencia, Justicia, y juicio y equidad;	Proverbs 1:3 To be trained in the ways of wisdom, in righteousness and judging truly and straight behaviour:
Proverbios 1:4 Para dar sagacidad á los simples, Y á los jóvenes inteligencia y cordura.	Proverbs 1:4 To make the simple-minded sharp, and to give the young man knowledge, and serious purpose:
Proverbios 1:5 Oirá el sabio, y aumentará el saber; Y el entendido adquirirá consejo;	Proverbs 1:5 (The wise man, hearing, will get greater learning, and the acts of the man of good sense will be wisely guided:)
Proverbios 1:6 Para entender parábola y declaración; Palabras de sabios, y sus dichos oscuros.	Proverbs 1:6 To get the sense of wise sayings and secrets, and of the words of the wise and their dark sayings.
Proverbios 1:7 El principio de la sabiduría es el temor de Jehová: Los insensatos desprecian la sabiduría y la enseñanza.	Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the start of knowledge: but the foolish have no use for wisdom and teaching.
Proverbios 1:8 Oye, hijo mío, la doctrina de tu padre, Y no desprecies la dirección de tu madre:	Proverbs 1:8 My son, give ear to the training of your father, and do not give up the teaching of your mother:
Proverbios 1:9 Porque adorno de gracia serán á tu cabeza, Y collares á tu cuello.	Proverbs 1:9 For they will be a crown of grace for your head, and chain-ornaments about your neck.
Proverbios 1:10 Hijo mío, si los pecadores te quisieren engañar, No consientas.	Proverbs 1:10 My son, if sinners would take you out of the right way, do not go with them.
Proverbios 1:11 Si dijeren: Ven con nosotros, Pongamos asechanzas á la sangre, Acechemos sin motivo al inocente;	Proverbs 1:11 If they say, Come with us; let us make designs against the good, waiting secretly for the upright, without cause;
Proverbios 1:12 Los tragaremos vivos como el sepulcro, Y enteros, como los que caen en sima;	Proverbs 1:12 Let us overcome them living, like the underworld, and in their strength, as those who go down to death;
Proverbios 1:13 Hallaremos riquezas de todas suertes, Henchiremos nuestras casas de despojos;	Proverbs 1:13 Goods of great price will be ours, our houses will be full of wealth;
Proverbios 1:14 Echa tu suerte entre nosotros; Tengamos todos una bolsa:	Proverbs 1:14 Take your chance with us, and we will all have one money-bag:
Proverbios 1:15 Hijo mío, no andes en camino con ellos; Aparta tu pie de sus veredas:	Proverbs 1:15 My son, do not go with them; keep your feet from their ways:
Proverbios 1:16 Porque sus pies correrán al mal, E irán presurosos á derramar sangre.	Proverbs 1:16 For their feet are running after evil, and they are quick to take a man's life.
Proverbios 1:17 Porque en vano se tenderá la red Ante los ojos de toda ave;	Proverbs 1:17 Truly, to no purpose is the net stretched out before the eyes of the bird:
Proverbios 1:18 Mas ellos á su propia sangre ponen asechanzas, Y á sus almas tienden lazo.	Proverbs 1:18 And they are secretly waiting for their blood and making ready destruction for themselves.
Proverbios 1:19 Tales son las sendas de todo el que es dado á la codicia, La cual prenderá el alma de sus poseedores.	Proverbs 1:19 Such is the fate of everyone who goes in search of profit; it takes away the life of its owners.
Proverbios 1:20 La sabiduría clama de fuera, Da su voz en las plazas:	Proverbs 1:20 Wisdom is crying out in the street; her voice is loud in the open places;
Proverbios 1:21 Clama en los principales lugares de concurso; En las entradas de las puertas de la ciudad dice sus razones:	Proverbs 1:21 Her words are sounding in the meeting-places, and in the doorways of the town:
Proverbios 1:22 ¿Hasta cuándo, oh simples, amaréis la simpleza, Y los burladores desearán el burlar, Y los insensatos aborrecerán la ciencia?	Proverbs 1:22 How long, you simple ones, will foolish things be dear to you? and pride a delight to the haters of authority? how long will the foolish go on hating knowledge?
Proverbios 1:23 Volveos á mi reprensión: He aquí yo os derramaré mi espíritu, Y os haré saber mis palabras.	Proverbs 1:23 Be turned again by my sharp words: see, I will send the flow of my spirit on you, and make my words clear to you.
Proverbios 1:24 Por cuanto llamé, y no quisisteis: Extendí mi mano, y no hubo quien escuchase;	Proverbs 1:24 Because your ears were shut to my voice; no one gave attention to my out-stretched hand;
Proverbios 1:25 Antes desechasteis todo consejo mío, Y mi reprensión no quisisteis:	Proverbs 1:25 You were not controlled by my guiding, and would have nothing to do with my sharp words:
Proverbios 1:26 También yo me reiré en vuestra calamidad, Y me burlaré cuando os viniere lo que teméis;	Proverbs 1:26 So in the day of your trouble I will be laughing; I will make sport of your fear;
Proverbios 1:27 Cuando viniere como una destrucción lo que teméis, Y vuestra calamidad llegare como un torbellino; Cuando sobre vosotros viniere tribulación y angustia.	Proverbs 1:27 When your fear comes on you like a storm, and your trouble like a rushing wind; when pain and sorrow come on you.
Proverbios 1:28 Entonces me llamarán, y no responderé; Buscarme han de mañana, y no me hallarán:	Proverbs 1:28 Then I will give no answer to their cries; searching for me early, they will not see me:
Proverbios 1:29 Por cuanto aborrecieron la sabiduría, Y no escogieron el temor de Jehová,	Proverbs 1:29 For they were haters of knowledge, and did not give their hearts to the fear of the Lord:
Proverbios 1:30 Ni quisieron mi consejo, Y menospreciaron toda reprensión mía:	Proverbs 1:30 They had no desire for my teaching, and my words of protest were as nothing to them.
Proverbios 1:31 Comerán pues del fruto de su camino, Y se hartarán de sus consejos.	Proverbs 1:31 So the fruit of their way will be their food, and with the designs of their hearts they will be made full.
Proverbios 1:32 Porque el reposo de los ignorantes los matará, Y la prosperidad de los necios los echará á perder.	Proverbs 1:32 For the turning back of the simple from teaching will be the cause of their death, and the peace of the foolish will be their destruction.
Proverbios 1:33 Mas el que me oyere, habitará confiadamente, Y vivirá reposado, sin temor de mal.	Proverbs 1:33 But whoever gives ear to me will take his rest safely, living in peace without fear of evil.
