Actes 6:1 En ce temps-là, le nombre des disciples augmentant, les Hellénistes murmurèrent contre les Hébreux, parce que leurs veuves étaient négligées dans la distribution qui se faisait chaque jour.	Acts 6:1 Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was increasing, protests were made by the Greek Jews against the Hebrews, because their widows were not taken care of in the distribution of food every day.
Actes 6:2 Les douze convoquèrent la multitude des disciples, et dirent: Il n`est pas convenable que nous laissions la parole de Dieu pour servir aux tables.	Acts 6:2 And the Apostles sent for all the disciples and said, It is not right for us to give up preaching the word of God in order to make distribution of food.
Actes 6:3 C`est pourquoi, frères, choisissez parmi vous sept hommes, de qui l`on rende un bon témoignage, qui soient pleins d`Esprit Saint et de sagesse, et que nous chargerons de cet emploi.	Acts 6:3 Take then from among you seven men of good name, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, to whom we may give control of this business.
Actes 6:4 Et nous, nous continuerons à nous appliquer à la prière et au ministère de la parole.	Acts 6:4 Then we will give all our time to prayer and the teaching of the word.
Actes 6:5 Cette proposition plut à toute l`assemblée. Ils élurent Étienne, homme plein de foi et d`Esprit Saint, Philippe, Prochore, Nicanor, Timon, Parménas, et Nicolas, prosélyte d`Antioche.	Acts 6:5 And this saying was pleasing to all of them: and they made selection of Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip and Prochorus and Nicanor and Timon and Parmenas and Nicolas of Antioch, who had become a Jew:
Actes 6:6 Ils les présentèrent aux apôtres, qui, après avoir prié, leur imposèrent les mains.	Acts 6:6 These they took to the Apostles, who, after prayer, put their hands on them.
Actes 6:7 La parole de Dieu se répandait de plus en plus, le nombre des disciples augmentait beaucoup à Jérusalem, et une grande foule de sacrificateurs obéissaient à la foi.	Acts 6:7 And the word of God was increasing in power; and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem became very great, and a great number of priests were in agreement with the faith.
Actes 6:8 Étienne, plein de grâce et de puissance, faisait des prodiges et de grands miracles parmi le peuple.	Acts 6:8 And Stephen, full of grace and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.
Actes 6:9 Quelques membres de la synagogue dite des Affranchis, de celle des Cyrénéens et de celle des Alexandrins, avec des Juifs de Cilicie et d`Asie, se mirent à discuter avec lui;	Acts 6:9 But some of those who were of the Synagogue named that of the Libertines, and some of the men of Cyrene and of Alexandria and those from Cilicia and Asia, had arguments with Stephen.
Actes 6:10 mais ils ne pouvaient résister à sa sagesse et à l`Esprit par lequel il parlait.	Acts 6:10 But they were not able to get the better of him, for his words were full of wisdom and of the Spirit.
Actes 6:11 Alors ils subornèrent des hommes qui dirent: Nous l`avons entendu proférer des paroles blasphématoires contre Moïse et contre Dieu.	Acts 6:11 Then they got men to say, He has said evil against Moses and against God, in our hearing.
Actes 6:12 Ils émurent le peuple, les anciens et les scribes, et, se jetant sur lui, ils le saisirent, et l`emmenèrent au sanhédrin.	Acts 6:12 And the people, with the rulers and the scribes, were moved against him, and they came and took him before the Sanhedrin,
Actes 6:13 Ils produisirent de faux témoins, qui dirent: Cet homme ne cesse de proférer des paroles contre le lieu saint et contre la loi;	Acts 6:13 And they got false witnesses who said, This man is for ever saying things against this holy place and against the law:
Actes 6:14 car nous l`avons entendu dire que Jésus, ce Nazaréen, détruira ce lieu, et changera les coutumes que Moïse nous a données.	Acts 6:14 For he has said in our hearing that this Jesus of Nazareth will put this place to destruction and make changes in the rules which were handed down to us by Moses.
Actes 6:15 Tous ceux qui siégeaient au sanhédrin ayant fixé les regards sur Étienne, son visage leur parut comme celui d`un ange.	Acts 6:15 And all those who were in the Sanhedrin, looking at him, saw that his face was like the face of an angel.
