Jacques 1	James 1
Jacques 1:1 Jacques, serviteur de Dieu et du Seigneur Jésus Christ, aux douze tribus qui sont dans la dispersion, salut!	James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, sends words of love to the twelve tribes of the Jews living in all parts of the earth.
Jacques 1:2 Mes frères, regardez comme un sujet de joie complète les diverses épreuves auxquelles vous pouvez être exposés,	James 1:2 Let it be all joy to you, my brothers, when you undergo tests of every sort;
Jacques 1:3 sachant que l`épreuve de votre foi produit la patience.	James 1:3 Because you have the knowledge that the testing of your faith gives you the power of going on in hope;
Jacques 1:4 Mais il faut que la patience accomplisse parfaitement son oeuvre, afin que vous soyez parfaits et accomplis, sans faillir en rien.	James 1:4 But let this power have its full effect, so that you may be made complete, needing nothing.
Jacques 1:5 Si quelqu`un d`entre vous manque de sagesse, qu`il l`a demande à Dieu, qui donne à tous simplement et sans reproche, et elle lui sera donnée.	James 1:5 But if any man among you is without wisdom, let him make his request to God, who gives freely to all without an unkind word, and it will be given to him.
Jacques 1:6 Mais qu`il l`a demande avec foi, sans douter; car celui qui doute est semblable au flot de la mer, agité par le vent et poussé de côté et d`autre.	James 1:6 Let him make his request in faith, doubting nothing; for he who has doubt in his heart is like the waves of the sea, which are troubled by the driving of the wind.
Jacques 1:7 Qu`un tel homme ne s`imagine pas qu`il recevra quelque chose du Seigneur:	James 1:7 Let it not seem to such a man that he will get anything from the Lord;
Jacques 1:8 c`est un homme irrésolu, inconstant dans toutes ses voies.	James 1:8 For there is a division in his mind, and he is uncertain in all his ways.
Jacques 1:9 Que le frère de condition humble se glorifie de son élévation.	James 1:9 But let the brother of low position be glad that he is lifted up;
Jacques 1:10 Que le riche, au contraire, se glorifie de son humiliation; car il passera comme la fleur de l`herbe.	James 1:10 But the man of wealth, that he is made low; because like the flower of the grass he will come to his end.
Jacques 1:11 Le soleil s`est levé avec sa chaleur ardente, il a desséché l`herbe, sa fleur est tombée, et la beauté de son aspect a disparu: ainsi le riche se flétrira dans ses entreprises.	James 1:11 For when the sun comes up with its burning heat, the grass gets dry and the grace of its form is gone with the falling flower; so the man of wealth comes to nothing in his ways.
Jacques 1:12 Heureux l`homme qui supporte patiemment la tentation; car, après avoir été éprouvé, il recevra la couronne de vie, que le Seigneur a promise à ceux qui l`aiment.	James 1:12 There is a blessing on the man who undergoes testing; because, if he has God's approval, he will be given the crown of life, which the Lord has said he will give to those who have love for him.
Jacques 1:13 Que personne, lorsqu`il est tenté, ne dise: C`est Dieu qui me tente. Car Dieu ne peut être tenté par le mal, et il ne tente lui-même personne.	James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tested, I am tested by God; for it is not possible for God to be tested by evil, and he himself puts no man to such a test:
Jacques 1:14 Mais chacun est tenté quand il est attiré et amorcé par sa propre convoitise.	James 1:14 But every man is tested when he is turned out of the right way by the attraction of his desire.
Jacques 1:15 Puis la convoitise, lorsqu`elle a conçu, enfante le péché; et le péché, étant consommé, produit la mort.	James 1:15 Then when its time comes, desire gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is of full growth, gives birth to death.
Jacques 1:16 Nous vous y trompez pas, mes frères bien-aimés:	James 1:16 Do not be turned from the right way, dear brothers.
Jacques 1:17 toute grâce excellente et tout don parfait descendent d`en haut, du Père des lumières, chez lequel il n`y a ni changement ni ombre de variation.	James 1:17 Every good and true thing is given to us from heaven, coming from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change or any shade made by turning.
Jacques 1:18 Il nous a engendrés selon sa volonté, par la parole de vérité, afin que nous soyons en quelque sorte les prémices de ses créatures.	James 1:18 Of his purpose he gave us being, by his true word, so that we might be, in a sense, the first-fruits of all the things which he had made.
Jacques 1:19 Sachez-le, mes frères bien-aimés. Ainsi, que tout homme soit prompt à écouter, lent à parler, lent à se mettre en colère;	James 1:19 You have knowledge of this, dear brothers. But let every man be quick in hearing, slow in words, slow to get angry;
Jacques 1:20 car la colère de l`homme n`accomplit pas la justice de Dieu.	James 1:20 For the righteousness of God does not come about by the wrath of man.
Jacques 1:21 C`est pourquoi, rejetant toute souillure et tout excès de malice, recevez avec douceur la parole qui a été planté en vous, et qui peut sauver vos âmes.	James 1:21 For this reason, putting away all dirty behaviour and the overweight of evil, take into your souls without pride the word which, being planted there, is able to give you salvation.
Jacques 1:22 Mettez en pratique la parole, et ne vous bornez pas à l`écouter, en vous trompant vous-mêmes par de faux raisonnements.	James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers of it, blinding yourselves with false ideas.
Jacques 1:23 Car, si quelqu`un écoute la parole et ne la met pas en pratique, il est semblable à un homme qui regarde dans un miroir son visage naturel,	James 1:23 Because if any man is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a glass;
Jacques 1:24 et qui, après s`être regardé, s`en va, et oublie aussitôt quel il était.	James 1:24 For after looking at himself he goes away, and in a short time he has no memory of what he was like.
Jacques 1:25 Mais celui qui aura plongé les regards dans la loi parfaite, la loi de la liberté, et qui aura persévéré, n`étant pas un auditeur oublieux, mais se mettant à l`oeuvre, celui-là sera heureux dans son activité.	James 1:25 But he who goes on looking into the true law which makes him free, being not a hearer without memory but a doer putting it into effect, this man will have a blessing on his acts.
Jacques 1:26 Si quelqu`un croit être religieux, sans tenir sa langue en bride, mais en trompant son coeur, la religion de cet homme est vaine.	James 1:26 If a man seems to have religion and has no control over his tongue but lets himself be tricked by what is false, this man's religion is of no value.
Jacques 1:27 La religion pure et sans tache, devant Dieu notre Père, consiste à visiter les orphelins et les veuves dans leurs afflictions, et à se préserver des souillures du monde.	James 1:27 The religion which is holy and free from evil in the eyes of our God and Father is this: to take care of children who have no fathers and of widows who are in trouble, and to keep oneself untouched by the world.
