Luc 7:1 ^
Après avoir achevé tous ces discours devant le peuple qui l`écoutait, Jésus entra dans Capernaüm.
Luke 7:1 ^
After he had come to the end of all his words in the hearing of the people, he went into Capernaum.
Luc 7:2 ^
Un centenier avait un serviteur auquel il était très attaché, et qui se trouvait malade, sur le point de mourir.
Luke 7:2 ^
And a certain captain had a servant who was very dear to him; this servant was ill and near to death.
Luc 7:3 ^
Ayant entendu parler de Jésus, il lui envoya quelques anciens des Juifs, pour le prier de venir guérir son serviteur.
Luke 7:3 ^
And when news of Jesus came to his ears, he sent to him rulers of the Jews, requesting that he would come and make his servant well.
Luc 7:4 ^
Ils arrivèrent auprès de Jésus, et lui adressèrent d`instantes supplications, disant: Il mérite que tu lui accordes cela;
Luke 7:4 ^
And they, when they came to Jesus, made their request warmly, saying,
Luc 7:5 ^
car il aime notre nation, et c`est lui qui a bâti notre synagogue.
Luke 7:5 ^
It is right for you to do this for him, because he is a friend to our nation, and himself has put up a Synagogue for us.
Luc 7:6 ^
Jésus, étant allé avec eux, n`était guère éloigné de la maison, quand le centenier envoya des amis pour lui dire: Seigneur, ne prends pas tant de peine; car je ne suis pas digne que tu entres sous mon toit.
Luke 7:6 ^
And Jesus went with them. And when he was not far from the house, the man sent friends to him, saying, Lord, do not give yourself trouble: for I am not important enough for you to come into my house:
Luc 7:7 ^
C`est aussi pour cela que je ne me suis pas cru digne d`aller en personne vers toi. Mais dis un mot, et mon serviteur sera guéri.
Luke 7:7 ^
And I had the feeling that I was not even good enough to come to you: but say the word only, and my servant will be well.
Luc 7:8 ^
Car, moi qui suis soumis à des supérieurs, j`ai des soldats sous mes ordres; et je dis à l`un: Va! et il va; à l`autre: Viens! et il vient; et à mon serviteur: Fais cela! et il le fait.
Luke 7:8 ^
For I, myself, am a man under authority, having men under me; and I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.
Luc 7:9 ^
Lorsque Jésus entendit ces paroles, il admira le centenier, et, se tournant vers la foule qui le suivait, il dit: Je vous le dis, même en Israël je n`ai pas trouvé une aussi grande foi.
Luke 7:9 ^
And when these things were said to Jesus, he was surprised, and, turning to the mass of people coming after him, said, I have not seen such great faith, no, not in Israel.
Luc 7:10 ^
De retour à la maison, les gens envoyés par le centenier trouvèrent guéri le serviteur qui avait été malade.
Luke 7:10 ^
And when those who were sent came back to the house they saw that the servant was well.
Luc 7:11 ^
Le jour suivant, Jésus alla dans une ville appelée Naïn; ses disciples et une grande foule faisaient route avec lui.
Luke 7:11 ^
And it came about, after a little time, that he went to a town named Nain; and his disciples went with him, and a great number of people.
Luc 7:12 ^
Lorsqu`il fut près de la porte de la ville, voici, on portait en terre un mort, fils unique de sa mère, qui était veuve; et il y avait avec elle beaucoup de gens de la ville.
Luke 7:12 ^
Now when he came near the door of the town, a dead man was being taken out, the only son of his mother, who was a widow: and a great number of people from the town were with her.
Luc 7:13 ^
Le Seigneur, l`ayant vue, fut ému de compassion pour elle, et lui dit: Ne pleure pas!
Luke 7:13 ^
And when the Lord saw her, he had pity on her and said to her, Be not sad.
Luc 7:14 ^
Il s`approcha, et toucha le cercueil. Ceux qui le portaient s`arrêtèrent. Il dit: Jeune homme, je te le dis, lève-toi!
Luke 7:14 ^
And he came near, and put his hand on the stretcher where the dead man was: and those who were moving it came to a stop. And he said, Young man, I say to you, Get up.
Luc 7:15 ^
Et le mort s`assit, et se mit à parler. Jésus le rendit à sa mère.
Luke 7:15 ^
And the dead man got up, and words came from his lips. And he gave him to his mother.
Luc 7:16 ^
Tous furent saisis de crainte, et ils glorifiaient Dieu, disant: Un grand prophète a paru parmi nous, et Dieu a visité son peuple.
Luke 7:16 ^
And fear came on all, and they gave praise to God, saying, A great prophet is among us: and, God has given thought to his people.
Luc 7:17 ^
Cette parole sur Jésus se répandit dans toute la Judée et dans tout le pays d`alentour.
Luke 7:17 ^
And this story about him went through all Judaea and the places round about.
Luc 7:18 ^
Jean fut informé de toutes ces choses par ses disciples.
Luke 7:18 ^
And the disciples of John gave him an account of all these things.
Luc 7:19 ^
Il en appela deux, et les envoya vers Jésus, pour lui dire: Es-tu celui qui doit venir, ou devons-nous en attendre un autre?
Luke 7:19 ^
Then John sent two of his disciples to the Lord, saying, Are you he who is to come, or are we waiting for another?
Luc 7:20 ^
Arrivés auprès de Jésus, ils dirent: Jean Baptiste nous a envoyés vers toi, pour dire: Es-tu celui qui doit venir, ou devons-nous en attendre un autre?
Luke 7:20 ^
And when the men came to him they said, John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, Are you he who is to come, or are we waiting for another?
Luc 7:21 ^
A l`heure même, Jésus guérit plusieurs personnes de maladies, d`infirmités, et d`esprits malins, et il rendit la vue à plusieurs aveugles.
Luke 7:21 ^
At that time, he made a number of people free from their diseases and their pains, and from evil spirits; and to others who were blind he gave back the use of their eyes.
Luc 7:22 ^
Et il leur répondit: Allez rapporter à Jean ce que vous avez vu et entendu: les aveugles voient, les boiteux marchent, les lépreux sont purifiés, les sourds entendent, les morts ressuscitent, la bonne nouvelle est annoncée aux pauvres.
Luke 7:22 ^
And answering them he said, Go back and give news to John of what you have seen, and the things which have come to your ears; the blind now see, those who had no power in their legs are walking, lepers are made clean, those who had no hearing now have their ears open, dead men come to life again, and the poor have the good news given to them.
Luc 7:23 ^
Heureux celui pour qui je ne serai pas une occasion de chute!
Luke 7:23 ^
And a blessing will be on him who has no doubts about me.
Luc 7:24 ^
Lorsque les envoyés de Jean furent partis, Jésus se mit à dire à la foule, au sujet de Jean: Qu`êtes-vous allés voir au désert? un roseau agité par le vent?
Luke 7:24 ^
And when the men who were sent by John had gone away, he said to the people, about John, What did you go out into the waste land to see? a tall stem moving in the wind?
Luc 7:25 ^
Mais, qu`êtes-vous allés voir? un homme vêtu d`habits précieux? Voici, ceux qui portent des habits magnifiques, et qui vivent dans les délices, sont dans les maisons des rois.
Luke 7:25 ^
But what did you go out to see? a man in soft clothing? See now, those who have beautiful clothing and delicate food are in kings' houses.
Luc 7:26 ^
Qu`êtes-vous donc allés voir? un prophète? Oui, vous dis-je, et plus qu`un prophète.
Luke 7:26 ^
But what did you go out to see? a prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.
Luc 7:27 ^
C`est celui dont il est écrit: Voici, j`envoie mon messager devant ta face, Pour préparer ton chemin devant toi.
Luke 7:27 ^
This is he of whom it has been said, See, I send my servant before your face, who will make ready your way before you.
Luc 7:28 ^
Je vous le dis, parmi ceux qui sont nés de femmes, il n`y en a point de plus grand que Jean. Cependant, le plus petit dans le royaume de Dieu est plus grand que lui.
Luke 7:28 ^
I say to you, Among all the sons of women, not one is greater than John: but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
Luc 7:29 ^
Et tout le peuple qui l`a entendu et même les publicains ont justifié Dieu, en se faisant baptiser du baptême de Jean;
Luke 7:29 ^
(And all the people, and the tax-farmers, to whom John had given baptism, when they had knowledge of these things, gave glory to God.
Luc 7:30 ^
mais les pharisiens et les docteurs de la loi, en ne se faisant pas baptiser par lui, ont rendu nul à leur égard le dessein de Dieu.
Luke 7:30 ^
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were against the purpose of God for themselves, not having had his baptism.)
Luc 7:31 ^
A qui donc comparerai-je les hommes de cette génération, et à qui ressemblent-ils?
Luke 7:31 ^
What comparison am I to make of the men of this generation? what are they like?
Luc 7:32 ^
Ils ressemblent aux enfants assis dans la place publique, et qui, se parlant les uns aux autres, disent: Nous vous avons joué de la flûte, et vous n`avez pas dansé; nous vous avons chanté des complaintes, et vous n`avez pas pleuré.
Luke 7:32 ^
They are like children who are seated in the market-place, crying out to one another, and saying, We made music for you, but you did not take part in the dance; we gave cries of sorrow, but you were not sad.
Luc 7:33 ^
Car Jean Baptiste est venu, ne mangeant pas de pain et ne buvant pas de vin, et vous dites: Il a un démon.
Luke 7:33 ^
For John the Baptist came, taking no food or drink, and you say, He has an evil spirit.
Luc 7:34 ^
Le Fils de l`homme est venu, mangeant et buvant, et vous dites: C`est un mangeur et un buveur, un ami des publicains et des gens de mauvaise vie.
Luke 7:34 ^
The Son of man came feasting, and you say, Here is a lover of food and wine, a friend of tax-farmers and sinners.
Luc 7:35 ^
Mais la sagesse a été justifiée par tous ses enfants.
Luke 7:35 ^
But wisdom is judged to be right by all her children.
Luc 7:36 ^
Un pharisien pria Jésus de manger avec lui. Jésus entra dans la maison du pharisien, et se mit à table.
Luke 7:36 ^
And one of the Pharisees made a request that he would take a meal with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house and took his seat at the table.
Luc 7:37 ^
Et voici, une femme pécheresse qui se trouvait dans la ville, ayant su qu`il était à table dans la maison du pharisien, apporta un vase d`albâtre plein de parfum,
Luke 7:37 ^
And there was a woman in the town who was a sinner; and when she had news that he was a guest in the Pharisee's house, she took a bottle of perfume,
Luc 7:38 ^
et se tint derrière, aux pieds de Jésus. Elle pleurait; et bientôt elle lui mouilla les pieds de ses larmes, puis les essuya avec ses cheveux, les baisa, et les oignit de parfum.
Luke 7:38 ^
And went in and took her place at the back of him, near his feet, weeping, so that his feet were washed with the drops from her eyes, and with her hair she made them dry, and kissing his feet she put the perfume on them.
Luc 7:39 ^
Le pharisien qui l`avait invité, voyant cela, dit en lui-même: Si cet homme était prophète, il connaîtrait qui et de quelle espèce est la femme qui le touche, il connaîtrait que c`est une pécheresse.
Luke 7:39 ^
Now when the Pharisee in whose house he was saw it, he said to himself, This man, if he was a prophet, would be conscious what sort of woman this is who has put her hands on him, that she is a sinner.
Luc 7:40 ^
Jésus prit la parole, et lui dit: Simon, j`ai quelque chose à te dire. -Maître, parle, répondit-il. -
Luke 7:40 ^
And Jesus, answering, said, Simon, I have something to say to you. And he said, Master, say on.
Luc 7:41 ^
Un créancier avait deux débiteurs: l`un devait cinq cents deniers, et l`autre cinquante.
Luke 7:41 ^
And he said, Two men were in debt to a certain man of business: one had a debt of five hundred pence, and the other of fifty.
Luc 7:42 ^
Comme ils n`avaient pas de quoi payer, il leur remit à tous deux leur dette. Lequel l`aimera le plus?
Luke 7:42 ^
When they were unable to make payment, he made the two of them free of their debts. Which of them, now, will have the greater love for him?
Luc 7:43 ^
Simon répondit: Celui, je pense, auquel il a le plus remis. Jésus lui dit: Tu as bien jugé.
Luke 7:43 ^
Simon, in answer, said, It seems he whose debt was greater. And he said, Your decision is right.
Luc 7:44 ^
Puis, se tournant vers la femme, il dit à Simon: Vois-tu cette femme? Je suis entré dans ta maison, et tu ne m`as point donné d`eau pour laver mes pieds; mais elle, elle les a mouillés de ses larmes, et les a essuyés avec ses cheveux.
Luke 7:44 ^
And turning to the woman he said to Simon, You see this woman? I came into your house; you did not give me water for my feet: but she has been washing my feet with the drops from her eyes, and drying them with her hair.
Luc 7:45 ^
Tu ne m`as point donné de baiser; mais elle, depuis que je suis entré, elle n`a point cessé de me baiser les pieds.
Luke 7:45 ^
You did not give me a kiss: but she, from the time when I came in, has gone on kissing my feet.
Luc 7:46 ^
Tu n`as point versé d`huile sur ma tête; mais elle, elle a versé du parfum sur mes pieds.
Luke 7:46 ^
You put no oil on my head: but she has put perfume on my feet.
Luc 7:47 ^
C`est pourquoi, je te le dis, ses nombreux péchés ont été pardonnés: car elle a beaucoup aimé. Mais celui à qui on pardonne peu aime peu.
Luke 7:47 ^
And so I say to you, She will have forgiveness for her sins which are great in number, because of her great love: but he who has small need of forgiveness gives little love.
Luc 7:48 ^
Et il dit à la femme: Tes péchés sont pardonnés.
Luke 7:48 ^
And he said to her, You have forgiveness for your sins.
Luc 7:49 ^
Ceux qui étaient à table avec lui se mirent à dire en eux-mêmes: Qui est celui-ci, qui pardonne même les péchés?
Luke 7:49 ^
And those who were seated at table with him said to themselves, Who is this who even gives forgiveness of sins?
Luc 7:50 ^
Mais Jésus dit à la femme: Ta foi t`a sauvée, va en paix.
Luke 7:50 ^
And he said to the woman, By your faith you have salvation; go in peace.
