Psaumes 89:1 Cantique d`Éthan, l`Ézrachite. Je chanterai toujours les bontés de l`Éternel; Ma bouche fera connaître à jamais ta fidélité.	Psalms 89:1 Maschil. Of Ethan the Ezrahite.My song will be of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make his faith clear to all generations.
Psaumes 89:2 Car je dis: La bonté a des fondements éternels; Tu établis ta fidélité dans les cieux.	Psalms 89:2 For you have said, Mercy will be made strong for ever; my faith will be unchanging in the heavens.
Psaumes 89:3 J`ai fait alliance avec mon élu; Voici ce que j`ai juré à David, mon serviteur:	Psalms 89:3 I have made an agreement with the man of my selection, I have made an oath to David my servant;
Psaumes 89:4 J`affermirai ta postérité pour toujours, Et j`établirai ton trône à perpétuité. Pause.	Psalms 89:4 I will make your seed go on for ever, your kingdom will be strong through all generations. (Selah.)
Psaumes 89:5 Les cieux célèbrent tes merveilles, ô Éternel! Et ta fidélité dans l`assemblée des saints.	Psalms 89:5 In heaven let them give praise for your wonders, O Lord; and your unchanging faith among the saints.
Psaumes 89:6 Car qui, dans le ciel, peut se comparer à l`Éternel? Qui est semblable à toi parmi les fils de Dieu?	Psalms 89:6 For who is there in the heavens in comparison with the Lord? who is like the Lord among the sons of the gods?
Psaumes 89:7 Dieu est terrible dans la grande assemblée des saints, Il est redoutable pour tous ceux qui l`entourent.	Psalms 89:7 God is greatly to be feared among the saints, and to be honoured over all those who are about him.
Psaumes 89:8 Éternel, Dieu des armées! qui est comme toi puissant, ô Éternel? Ta fidélité t`environne.	Psalms 89:8 O Lord God of armies, who is strong like you, O Jah? and your unchanging faith is round about you.
Psaumes 89:9 Tu domptes l`orgueil de la mer; Quand ses flots se soulèvent, tu les apaises.	Psalms 89:9 You have rule over the sea in storm; when its waves are troubled, you make them calm.
Psaumes 89:10 Tu écrasas l`Égypte comme un cadavre, Tu dispersas tes ennemis par la puissance de ton bras.	Psalms 89:10 Rahab was crushed by you like one wounded to death; with your strong arm you put to flight all your haters.
Psaumes 89:11 C`est à toi qu`appartiennent les cieux et la terre, C`est toi qui as fondé le monde et ce qu`il renferme.	Psalms 89:11 Yours are the heavens, and the earth is yours; you have made the world, and everything which is in it.
Psaumes 89:12 Tu as créé le nord et le midi; Le Thabor et l`Hermon se réjouissent à ton nom.	Psalms 89:12 You have made the north and the south; Tabor and Hermon are sounding with joy at your name.
Psaumes 89:13 Ton bras est puissant, Ta main forte, ta droite élevée.	Psalms 89:13 Yours is an arm of power; strong is your hand and high your right hand.
Psaumes 89:14 La justice et l`équité sont la base de ton trône. La bonté et la fidélité sont devant ta face.	Psalms 89:14 The seat of your kingdom is resting on righteousness and right judging: mercy and good faith come before your face.
Psaumes 89:15 Heureux le peuple qui connaît le son de la trompette; Il marche à la clarté de ta face, ô Éternel!	Psalms 89:15 Happy are the people who have knowledge of the holy cry: the light of your face, O Lord, will be shining on their way.
Psaumes 89:16 Il se réjouit sans cesse de ton nom, Et il se glorifie de ta justice.	Psalms 89:16 In your name will they have joy all the day: in your righteousness will they be lifted up.
Psaumes 89:17 Car tu es la gloire de sa puissance; C`est ta faveur qui relève notre force.	Psalms 89:17 For you are the glory of their strength; in your pleasure will our horn be lifted up.
Psaumes 89:18 Car l`Éternel est notre bouclier, Le Saint d`Israël est notre roi.	Psalms 89:18 For our breastplate is the Lord; and our king is the Holy One of Israel's.
Psaumes 89:19 Alors tu parlas dans une vision à ton bien-aimé, Et tu dis: J`ai prêté mon secours à un héros, J`ai élevé du milieu du peuple un jeune homme;	Psalms 89:19 Then your voice came to your holy one in a vision, saying, I have put the crown on a strong one, lifting up one taken from among the people.
Psaumes 89:20 J`ai trouvé David, mon serviteur, Je l`ai oint de mon huile sainte.	Psalms 89:20 I have made discovery of David my servant; I have put my holy oil on his head.
Psaumes 89:21 Ma main le soutiendra, Et mon bras le fortifiera.	Psalms 89:21 My hand will be his support; my arm will give him strength.
Psaumes 89:22 L`ennemi ne le surprendra pas, Et le méchant ne l`opprimera point;	Psalms 89:22 The deceit of those who are against him will not overcome him; he will not be troubled by the sons of evil.
Psaumes 89:23 J`écraserai devant lui ses adversaires, Et je frapperai ceux qui le haïssent.	Psalms 89:23 I will have those who are against him broken before his face, and his haters will be crushed under my blows.
Psaumes 89:24 Ma fidélité et ma bonté seront avec lui, Et sa force s`élèvera par mon nom.	Psalms 89:24 But my faith and my mercy will be with him; and in my name will his horn be lifted up.
Psaumes 89:25 Je mettrai sa main sur la mer, Et sa droite sur les fleuves.	Psalms 89:25 I will put his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
Psaumes 89:26 Lui, il m`invoquera: Tu es mon père, Mon Dieu et le rocher de mon salut!	Psalms 89:26 He will say to me, You are my father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.
Psaumes 89:27 Et moi, je ferai de lui le premier-né, Le plus élevé des rois de la terre.	Psalms 89:27 And I will make him the first of my sons, most high over the kings of the earth.
Psaumes 89:28 Je lui conserverai toujours ma bonté, Et mon alliance lui sera fidèle;	Psalms 89:28 I will keep my mercy for him for ever; my agreement with him will not be changed.
Psaumes 89:29 Je rendrai sa postérité éternelle, Et son trône comme les jours des cieux.	Psalms 89:29 His seed will keep their place for ever; his kingdom will be eternal, like the heavens.
Psaumes 89:30 Si ses fils abandonnent ma loi Et ne marchent pas selon ses ordonnances,	Psalms 89:30 If his children give up my law, and are not ruled by my decisions;
Psaumes 89:31 S`ils violent mes préceptes Et n`observent pas mes commandements,	Psalms 89:31 If my rules are broken, and my orders are not kept;
Psaumes 89:32 Je punirai de la verge leurs transgressions, Et par des coups leurs iniquités;	Psalms 89:32 Then I will send punishment on them for their sin; my rod will be the reward of their evil-doing.
Psaumes 89:33 Mais je ne lui retirerai point ma bonté Et je ne trahirai pas ma fidélité,	Psalms 89:33 But I will not take away my mercy from him, and will not be false to my faith.
Psaumes 89:34 Je ne violerai point mon alliance Et je ne changerai pas ce qui est sorti de mes lèvres.	Psalms 89:34 I will be true to my agreement; the things which have gone out of my lips will not be changed.
Psaumes 89:35 J`ai juré une fois par ma sainteté: Mentirai-je à David?	Psalms 89:35 I have made an oath once by my holy name, that I will not be false to David.
Psaumes 89:36 Sa postérité subsistera toujours; Son trône sera devant moi comme le soleil,	Psalms 89:36 His seed will not come to an end for ever; the seat of his kingdom will be like the sun before me.
Psaumes 89:37 Comme la lune il aura une éternelle durée. Le témoin qui est dans le ciel est fidèle. Pause.	Psalms 89:37 It will be fixed for ever like the moon; and the witness in heaven is true. (Selah.)
Psaumes 89:38 Et pourtant, tu as rejeté, tu as repoussé! Tu t`es irrité contre ton oint!	Psalms 89:38 But you have put him away in disgust; you have been angry with the king of your selection.
Psaumes 89:39 Tu as dédaigné l`alliance avec ton serviteur; Tu as abattu, profané sa couronne.	Psalms 89:39 You have made your agreement with your servant of no effect: you have had no respect for his crown, it has come down even to the earth.
Psaumes 89:40 Tu as détruit toutes ses murailles, Tu as mis en ruines ses forteresses.	Psalms 89:40 All his walls are broken down; you have given his strong towers to destruction.
Psaumes 89:41 Tous les passants le dépouillent; Il est un objet d`opprobre pour ses voisins.	Psalms 89:41 All those who come by take away his goods; he is laughed at by his neighbours.
Psaumes 89:42 Tu as élevé la droite de ses adversaires, Tu as réjoui tous ses ennemis;	Psalms 89:42 You have given power to the right hand of his haters; you have made glad all those who are against him.
Psaumes 89:43 Tu as fait reculer le tranchant de son glaive, Et tu ne l`as pas soutenu dans le combat.	Psalms 89:43 His sword is turned back; you have not been his support in the fight.
Psaumes 89:44 Tu as mis un terme à sa splendeur, Et tu as jeté son trône à terre;	Psalms 89:44 You have put an end to his glory: the seat of his kingdom has been levelled to the earth.
Psaumes 89:45 Tu as abrégé les jours de sa jeunesse, Tu l`as couvert de honte. Pause.	Psalms 89:45 You have made him old before his time; he is covered with shame. (Selah.)
Psaumes 89:46 Jusques à quand, Éternel! te cacheras-tu sans cesse, Et ta fureur s`embrasera-t-elle comme le feu?	Psalms 89:46 How long, O Lord, will you Keep yourself for ever from our eyes? how long will your wrath be burning like fire?
Psaumes 89:47 Rappelle-toi ce qu`est la durée de ma vie, Et pour quel néant tu as créé tous les fils de l`homme.	Psalms 89:47 See how short my time is; why have you made all men for no purpose?
Psaumes 89:48 Y a-t-il un homme qui puisse vivre et ne pas voir la mort, Qui puisse sauver son âme du séjour des morts? Pause.	Psalms 89:48 What man now living will not see death? will he be able to keep back his soul from the underworld? (Selah.)
Psaumes 89:49 Où sont, Seigneur! tes bontés premières, Que tu juras à David dans ta fidélité?	Psalms 89:49 Lord, where are your earlier mercies? where is the oath which you made to David in unchanging faith?
Psaumes 89:50 Souviens-toi, Seigneur! de l`opprobre de tes serviteurs, Souviens-toi que je porte en mon sein tous les peuples nombreux;	Psalms 89:50 Keep in mind, O Lord, the shame of your servants, and how the bitter words of all the people have come into my heart;
Psaumes 89:51 Souviens-toi des outrages de tes ennemis, ô Éternel! De leurs outrages contre les pas de ton oint.	Psalms 89:51 The bitter words of your haters, O Lord, shaming the footsteps of your king.
Psaumes 89:52 Béni soit à jamais l`Éternel! Amen! Amen!	Psalms 89:52 Let the Lord be praised for ever. So be it, So be it.
