Proverbi 25:1 Ecco altri proverbi di Salomone, raccolti dalla gente di Ezechia, re di Giuda.	Proverbs 25:1 These also are proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
Proverbi 25:2 E’ gloria di Dio nascondere le cose; ma la gloria dei re sta nell’investigarle.	Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
Proverbi 25:3 L’altezza del cielo, la profondità della terra e il cuore dei re non si possono investigare.	Proverbs 25:3 As the heavens for height, and the earth for depth, So the heart of kings is unsearchable.
Proverbi 25:4 Togli dall’argento le scorie, e ne uscirà un vaso per l’artefice;	Proverbs 25:4 Take away the dross from the silver, And there cometh forth a vessel for the refiner:
Proverbi 25:5 togli l’empio dalla presenza del re, e il suo trono sarà reso stabile dalla giustizia.	Proverbs 25:5 Take away the wicked [from] before the king, And his throne shall be established in righteousness.
Proverbi 25:6 Non fare il vanaglorioso in presenza del re, e non ti porre nel luogo dei grandi;	Proverbs 25:6 Put not thyself forward in the presence of the king, And stand not in the place of great men:
Proverbi 25:7 poiché è meglio ti sia detto: "Sali qui", anziché essere abbassato davanti al principe che gli occhi tuoi hanno veduto.	Proverbs 25:7 For better is it that it be said unto thee, Come up hither, Than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince, Whom thine eyes have seen.
Proverbi 25:8 Non t’affrettare a intentar processi, che alla fine tu non sappia che fare, quando il tuo prossimo t’avrà svergognato.	Proverbs 25:8 Go not forth hastily to strive, Lest [thou know not] what to do in the end thereof, When thy neighbor hath put thee to shame.
Proverbi 25:9 Difendi la tua causa contro il tuo prossimo, ma non rivelare il segreto d’un altro,	Proverbs 25:9 Debate thy cause with thy neighbor [himself], And disclose not the secret of another;
Proverbi 25:10 onde chi t’ode non t’abbia a vituperare, e la tua infamia non si cancelli più.	Proverbs 25:10 Lest he that heareth it revile thee, And thine infamy turn not away.
Proverbi 25:11 Le parole dette a tempo son come pomi d’oro in vasi d’argento cesellato.	Proverbs 25:11 A word fitly spoken Is [like] apples of gold in network of silver.
Proverbi 25:12 Per un orecchio docile, chi riprende con saviezza è un anello d’oro, un ornamento d’oro fino.	Proverbs 25:12 [As] an ear-ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, [So is] a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.
Proverbi 25:13 Il messaggero fedele, per quelli che lo mandano, è come il fresco della neve al tempo della mèsse; esso ristora l’anima del suo padrone.	Proverbs 25:13 As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, [So is] a faithful messenger to them that send him; For he refresheth the soul of his masters.
Proverbi 25:14 Nuvole e vento, ma punta pioggia; ecco l’uomo che si vanta falsamente della sua liberalità.	Proverbs 25:14 [As] clouds and wind without rain, [So is] he that boasteth himself of his gifts falsely.
Proverbi 25:15 Con la pazienza si piega un principe, e la lingua dolce spezza dell’ossa.	Proverbs 25:15 By long forbearing is a ruler persuaded, And a soft tongue breaketh the bone.
Proverbi 25:16 Se trovi del miele, mangiane quanto ti basta; che, satollandotene, tu non abbia poi a vomitarlo.	Proverbs 25:16 Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, Lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
Proverbi 25:17 Metti di rado il piede in casa del prossimo, ond’egli, stufandosi di te, non abbia ad odiarti.	Proverbs 25:17 Let thy foot be seldom in thy neighbor's house, Lest he be weary of thee, and hate thee.
Proverbi 25:18 L’uomo che attesta il falso contro il suo prossimo, è un martello, una spada, una freccia acuta.	Proverbs 25:18 A man that beareth false witness against his neighbor Is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.
Proverbi 25:19 La fiducia in un perfido, nel dì della distretta, è un dente rotto, un piede slogato.	Proverbs 25:19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble Is [like] a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
Proverbi 25:20 Cantar delle canzoni a un cuor dolente è come togliersi l’abito in giorno di freddo, e mettere aceto sul nitro.	Proverbs 25:20 [As] one that taketh off a garment in cold weather, [and as] vinegar upon soda, So is he that singeth songs to a heavy heart.
Proverbi 25:21 Se il tuo nemico ha fame, dagli del pane da mangiare: se ha sete, dagli dell’acqua da bere;	Proverbs 25:21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
Proverbi 25:22 ché, così, raunerai dei carboni accesi sul suo capo, e l’Eterno ti ricompenserà.	Proverbs 25:22 For thou wilt heap coals of fire upon his head, And Jehovah will reward thee.
Proverbi 25:23 Il vento del nord porta la pioggia, e la lingua che sparla di nascosto fa oscurare il viso.	Proverbs 25:23 The north wind bringeth forth rain: So doth a backbiting tongue an angry countenance.
Proverbi 25:24 Meglio abitare sul canto d’un tetto, che in una gran casa con una moglie rissosa.	Proverbs 25:24 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, Than with a contentious woman in a wide house.
Proverbi 25:25 Una buona notizia da paese lontano è come acqua fresca a persona stanca ed assetata.	Proverbs 25:25 [As] cold waters to a thirsty soul, So is good news from a far country.
Proverbi 25:26 Il giusto che vacilla davanti all’empio, è come una fontana torbida e una sorgente inquinata.	Proverbs 25:26 [As] a troubled fountain, and a corrupted spring, [So is] a righteous man that giveth way before the wicked.
Proverbi 25:27 Mangiar troppo miele non è bene ma scrutare cose difficili è un onore.	Proverbs 25:27 It is not good to eat much honey: So [for men] to search out their own glory is grievous.
Proverbi 25:28 L’uomo che non si sa padroneggiare, è una città smantellata, priva di mura.	Proverbs 25:28 He whose spirit is without restraint Is [like] a city that is broken down and without walls.
