Deuteronomy 12
|
| Queste sono le leggi e le prescrizioni che avrete cura d’osservare nel paese che l’Eterno, l’Iddio de’ tuoi padri, ti da perché tu lo possegga, tutto il tempo che vivrete sulla terra. | These are the laws and the decisions which you are to keep with care in the land which the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you to be your heritage all the days of your life on earth. |
| Distruggerete interamente tutti i luoghi dove le nazioni che state per cacciare servono i loro dèi: sugli alti monti, sui colli, e sotto qualunque albero verdeggiante. | You are to give up to the curse all those places where the nations, whom you are driving out, gave worship to their gods, on the high mountains and the hills and under every green tree: |
| Demolirete i loro altari, spezzerete le loro statue, darete alle fiamme i loro idoli d’Astarte, abbatterete le immagini scolpite dei loro dèi, e farete sparire il loro nome da quei luoghi. | Their altars and their pillars are to be broken down, and their holy trees burned with fire, and the images of their gods cut down; you are to take away their names out of that place. |
| Non così farete riguardo all’Eterno, all’Iddio vostro; | Do not so to the Lord your God. |
| ma lo cercherete nella sua dimora, nel luogo che l’Eterno, il vostro Dio, avrà scelto fra tutte le vostre tribù, per mettervi il suo nome; e quivi andrete; | But let your hearts be turned to the place which will be marked out by the Lord your God, among your tribes, to put his name there; |
| quivi recherete i vostri olocausti e i vostri sacrifizi, le vostre decime, quel che le vostre mani avranno prelevato, le vostre offerte votive e le vostre offerte volontarie, e i primogeniti de’ vostri armenti e de’ vostri greggi; | And there you are to take your burned offerings and other offerings, and the tenth part of your goods, and the offerings to be lifted up to the Lord, and the offerings of your oaths, and those which you give freely from the impulse of your hearts, and the first births among your herds and your flocks; |
| e quivi mangerete davanti all’Eterno, ch’è il vostro Dio, e vi rallegrerete, voi e le vostre famiglie, godendo di tutto ciò a cui avrete messo mano, e in cui l’Eterno, il vostro Dio, vi avrà benedetti. | There you and all your families are to make a feast before the Lord your God, with joy in everything to which you put your hand, because the Lord has given you his blessing. |
| Non farete come facciamo oggi qui, dove ognuno fa tutto quel che gli par bene, | You are not to do things then in the way in which we now do them here, every man as it seems right to him: |
| perché finora non siete giunti al riposo e all’eredità che l’Eterno, il vostro Dio, vi dà. | For you have not come to the rest and the heritage which the Lord your God is giving you. |
| Ma passerete il Giordano e abiterete il paese che l’Eterno, il vostro Dio, vi dà in eredità, e avrete requie da tutti i vostri nemici che vi circondano e sarete stanziati in sicurtà; | But when you have gone over Jordan and are living in the land which the Lord your God is giving you as your heritage, and when he has given you rest from all those on every side who are fighting against you, and you are living there safely; |
| e allora, recherete al luogo che l’Eterno, il vostro Dio, avrà scelto per dimora del suo nome, tutto quello che vi comando: i vostri olocausti e i vostri sacrifizi, le vostre decime, quel che le vostre mani avranno prelevato, e tutte le offerte scelte che avrete votate all’Eterno. | Then there will be a place marked out by the Lord your God as the resting-place for his name, and there you will take all the things which I give you orders to take: your burned offerings and other offerings, and the tenth part of your goods, and the offerings to be lifted up, and the offerings of your oaths which you make to the Lord; |
| E vi rallegrerete dinanzi all’Eterno, al vostro Dio, voi, i vostri figliuoli, le vostre figliuole, i vostri servi, le vostre serve e il Levita che sarà entro le vostre porte; poich’egli non ha né parte né possesso tra voi. | And you will be glad before the Lord your God, you and your sons and your daughters, and your men-servants and your women-servants, and the Levite who is with you in your house, because he has no part or heritage among you. |
| Allora ti guarderai bene dall’offrire i tuoi olocausti in qualunque luogo vedrai; | Take care that you do not make your burned offerings in any place you see: |
| ma offrirai i tuoi olocausti nel luogo che l’Eterno avrà scelto in una delle tue tribù; e quivi farai tutto quello che ti comando. | But in the place marked out by the Lord in one of your tribes, there let your burned offerings be offered, and there do what I have given you orders to do. |
| Però, potrai a tuo piacimento scannare animali e mangiarne la carne in tutte le tue città, secondo la benedizione che l’Eterno t’avrà largita; tanto colui che sarà impuro come colui che sarà puro ne potranno mangiare, come si fa della carne di gazzella e di cervo; | Only you may put to death animals, such as the gazelle or the roe, for your food in any of your towns, at the desire of your soul, in keeping with the blessing of the Lord your God which he has given you: the unclean and the clean may take of it. |
| ma non ne mangerete il sangue; lo spargerai per terra come acqua. | But you may not take the blood for food, it is to be drained out on the earth like water. |
| Non potrai mangiare entro le tue porte le decime del tuo frumento, del tuo mosto, del tuo olio, né i primogeniti de’ tuoi armenti e de’ tuoi greggi, né ciò che avrai consacrato per voto, né le tue offerte volontarie, né quel che le tue mani avranno prelevato; | In your towns you are not to take as food the tenth part of your grain, or of your wine or your oil, or the first births of your herds or of your flocks, or anything offered under an oath, or freely offered to the Lord, or given as a lifted offering; |
| tali cose mangerai dinanzi all’Eterno, ch’è il tuo Dio, nel luogo che l’Eterno, il tuo Dio, avrà scelto, tu, il tuo figliuolo, la tua figliuola, il tuo servo, la tua serva, e il Levita che sarà entro le tue porte; e ti rallegrerai dinanzi all’Eterno, ch’è il tuo Dio, d’ogni cosa a cui avrai messo mano. | But they will be your food before the Lord your God in the place of his selection, where you may make a feast of them, with your son and your daughter, and your man-servant and your woman-servant, and the Levite who is living with you: and you will have joy before the Lord your God in everything to which you put your hand. |
| Guardati bene, tutto il tempo che vivrai nel tuo paese, dall’abbandonare il Levita. | See that you do not give up caring for the Levite as long as you are living in your land. |
| Quando l’Eterno, il tuo Dio, avrà ampliato i tuoi confini, come t’ha promesso, e tu, desiderando di mangiar della carne dirai: "Vorrei mangiar della carne", potrai mangiar della carne a tuo piacimento. | When the Lord your God makes wide the limit of your land, as he has said, and you say, I will take flesh for my food, because you have a desire for it; then you may take whatever flesh you have a desire for. |
| Se il luogo che l’Eterno, il tuo Dio, avrà scelto per porvi il suo nome sarà lontano da te, potrai ammazzare del grosso e del minuto bestiame che l’Eterno t’avrà dato, come t’ho prescritto; e potrai mangiarne entro le tue porte a tuo piacimento. | If the place marked out by the Lord your God as the resting-place for his name is far away from you, then take from your herds and from your flocks which the Lord has given you, as I have said, and have a meal of it in the towns where you may be living. |
| Soltanto, ne mangerai come si mangia la carne di gazzella e di cervo; ne potrà mangiare tanto chi sarà impuro quanto chi sarà puro; | It will be your food, like the gazelle and the roe; the unclean and the clean may take of it. |
| ma guardati assolutamente dal mangiarne il sangue, perché il sangue e la vita; e tu non mangerai la vita insieme con la carne. | But see that you do not take the blood for food; for the blood is the life; and you may not make use of the life as food with the flesh. |
| Non lo mangerai; lo spargerai per terra come acqua. | Do not take it for food but let it be drained out on the earth like water. |
| Non lo mangerai affinché sii felice tu e i tuoi figliuoli dopo di te, quando avrai fatto ciò ch’è retto agli occhi dell’Eterno. | Do not take it for food; so that it may be well for you and for your children after you, while you do what is right in the eyes of the Lord. |
| Ma quanto alle cose che avrai consacrate o promesse per voto, le prenderai e andrai al luogo che l’Eterno avrà scelto, | But the holy things which you have, and the offerings of your oaths, you are to take to the place which will be marked out by the Lord: |
| e offrirai i tuoi olocausti, la carne e il sangue, sull’altare dell’Eterno, ch’è il tuo Dio; e il sangue delle altre tue vittime dovrà essere sparso sull’altare dell’Eterno, del tuo Dio, e tu ne mangerai la carne. | Offering the flesh and the blood of your burned offerings on the altar of the Lord your God; and the blood of your offerings is to be drained out on the altar of the Lord your God, and the flesh will be your food. |
| Osserva e ascolta tutte queste cose che ti comando, affinché sii sempre felice tu e i tuoi figliuoli dopo di te, quando avrai fatto ciò ch’è bene e retto agli occhi dell’Eterno, ch’è il tuo Dio. | Take note of all these orders I am giving you and give attention to them, so that it may be well for you and for your children after you for ever, while you do what is good and right in the eyes of the Lord your God. |
| Quando l’Eterno, l’Iddio tuo, avrà sterminate davanti a te le nazioni là dove tu stai per entrare a spodestarle, e quando le avrai spodestate e ti sarai stanziato nel loro paese, | When the people of the land where you are going have been cut off before you by the Lord your God, and you have taken their land and are living in it; |
| guardati bene dal cadere nel laccio, seguendo il loro esempio, dopo che saranno state distrutte davanti a te, e dall’informarti de’ loro dèi, dicendo: "Queste nazioni come servivano esse ai loro dèi? Anch’io vo’ fare lo stesso". | After their destruction take care that you do not go in their ways, and that you do not give thought to their gods, saying, How did these nations give worship to their gods? I will do as they did. |
| Non così farai riguardo all’Eterno, all’Iddio tuo; poiché esse praticavano verso i loro dèi tutto ciò ch’è abominevole per l’Eterno e ch’egli detesta; davan perfino alle fiamme i loro figliuoli e le loro figliuole, in onore dei loro dèi. | Do not so to the Lord your God: for everything which is disgusting to the Lord and hated by him they have done in honour of their gods: even burning their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. |
| Avrete cura di mettere in pratica tutte le cose che vi comando; non vi aggiungerai nulla, e nulla ne toglierai. | You are to keep with care all the words I give you, making no addition to them and taking nothing from them. |
