Efesini 5	Ephesians 5
Efesini 5:1 Siate dunque imitatori di Dio, come figliuoli suoi diletti;	Ephesians 5:1 Let it then be your desire to be like God, as well-loved children;
Efesini 5:2 camminate nell’amore come anche Cristo vi ha amati e ha dato se stesso per noi in offerta e sacrificio a Dio, qual profumo d’odor soave.	Ephesians 5:2 And be living in love, even as Christ had love for you, and gave himself up for us, an offering to God for a perfume of a sweet smell.
Efesini 5:3 Ma come si conviene a dei santi, né fornicazione, né alcuna impurità, né avarizia, sia neppur nominata fra voi;	Ephesians 5:3 But evil acts of the flesh and all unclean things, or desire for others' property, let it not even be named among you, as is right for saints;
Efesini 5:4 né disonestà, né buffonerie, né facezie scurrili, che son cose sconvenienti; ma piuttosto, rendimento di grazie.	Ephesians 5:4 And let there be no low behaviour, or foolish talk, or words said in sport, which are not right, but in place of them the giving of praise.
Efesini 5:5 Poiché voi sapete molto bene che niun fornicatore o impuro, o avaro (che è un idolatra), ha eredità nel regno di Cristo e di Dio.	Ephesians 5:5 Being certain of this, that no man who gives way to the passions of the flesh, no unclean person, or one who has desire for the property of others, or who gives worship to images, has any heritage in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Efesini 5:6 Niuno vi seduca con vani ragionamenti; poiché è per queste cose che l’ira di Dio viene sugli uomini ribelli.	Ephesians 5:6 Do not be turned from the right way by foolish words; for because of these things the punishment of God comes on those who do not put themselves under him.
Efesini 5:7 Non siate dunque loro compagni;	Ephesians 5:7 Have no part with such men;
Efesini 5:8 perché già eravate tenebre, ma ora siete luce nel Signore. Conducetevi come figliuoli di luce	Ephesians 5:8 For you at one time were dark, but now are light in the Lord: let your behaviour be that of children of light
Efesini 5:9 (poiché il frutto della luce consiste in tutto ciò che è bontà e giustizia e verità),	Ephesians 5:9 (Because the fruit of the light is in all righteousness and in everything which is good and true),
Efesini 5:10 esaminando che cosa sia accetto al Signore.	Ephesians 5:10 Testing by experience what is well-pleasing to the Lord;
Efesini 5:11 E non partecipate alle opere infruttuose delle tenebre; anzi, piuttosto riprendetele;	Ephesians 5:11 And have no company with the works of the dark, which give no fruit, but make their true quality clear;
Efesini 5:12 poiché egli è disonesto pur di dire le cose che si fanno da costoro in occulto.	Ephesians 5:12 For the things which are done by them in secret it is shame even to put into words.
Efesini 5:13 Ma tutte le cose, quando sono riprese dalla luce, diventano manifeste; poiché tutto ciò che è manifesto, è luce.	Ephesians 5:13 But all things, when their true quality is seen, are made clear by the light: because everything which is made clear is light.
Efesini 5:14 Perciò dice: Risvegliati, o tu che dormi, e risorgi da’ morti, e Cristo t’inonderà di luce.	Ephesians 5:14 For this reason he says, Be awake, you who are sleeping, and come up from among the dead, and Christ will be your light.
Efesini 5:15 Guardate dunque con diligenza come vi conducete; non da stolti, ma da savi;	Ephesians 5:15 Take care then how you are living, not as unwise, but as wise;
Efesini 5:16 approfittando delle occasioni, perché i giorni sono malvagi.	Ephesians 5:16 Making good use of the time, because the days are evil.
Efesini 5:17 Perciò non siate disavveduti, ma intendete bene quale sia la volontà del Signore.	Ephesians 5:17 For this reason, then, do not be foolish, but be conscious of the Lord's pleasure.
Efesini 5:18 E non v’inebriate di vino; esso porta alla dissolutezza; ma siate ripieni dello Spirito,	Ephesians 5:18 And do not take overmuch wine by which one may be overcome, but be full of the Spirit;
Efesini 5:19 parlandovi con salmi ed inni e canzoni spirituali, cantando e salmeggiando col cuor vostro al Signore;	Ephesians 5:19 Joining with one another in holy songs of praise and of the Spirit, using your voice in songs and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Efesini 5:20 rendendo del continuo grazie d’ogni cosa a Dio e Padre, nel nome del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo;	Ephesians 5:20 Giving praise at all times for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;
Efesini 5:21 sottoponendovi gli uni agli altri nel timore di Cristo.	Ephesians 5:21 Letting yourselves be ruled by one another in the fear of Christ.
Efesini 5:22 Mogli, siate soggette ai vostri mariti, come al Signore;	Ephesians 5:22 Wives, be under the authority of your husbands, as of the Lord.
Efesini 5:23 poiché il marito è capo della moglie, come anche Cristo è capo della Chiesa, egli, che è il Salvatore del corpo.	Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body.
Efesini 5:24 Ma come la Chiesa è soggetta a Cristo, così debbono anche le mogli esser soggette a’ loro mariti in ogni cosa.	Ephesians 5:24 And as the church is under Christ's authority, so let wives be under the rule of their husbands in all things.
Efesini 5:25 Mariti, amate le vostre mogli, come anche Cristo ha amato la Chiesa e ha dato se stesso per lei,	Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, have love for your wives, even as Christ had love for the church, and gave himself for it;
Efesini 5:26 affin di santificarla, dopo averla purificata col lavacro dell’acqua mediante la Parola,	Ephesians 5:26 So that he might make it holy, having made it clean with the washing of water by the word,
Efesini 5:27 affin di far egli stesso comparire dinanzi a sé questa Chiesa, gloriosa, senza macchia, senza ruga o cosa alcuna simile, ma santa ed irreprensibile.	Ephesians 5:27 And might take it for himself, a church full of glory, not having one mark or fold or any such thing; but that it might be holy and complete.
Efesini 5:28 Allo stesso modo anche i mariti debbono amare le loro mogli, come i loro propri corpi. Chi ama sua moglie ama se stesso.	Ephesians 5:28 Even so it is right for husbands to have love for their wives as for their bodies. He who has love for his wife has love for himself:
Efesini 5:29 Poiché niuno ebbe mai in odio la sua carne; anzi la nutre e la cura teneramente, come anche Cristo fa per la Chiesa,	Ephesians 5:29 For no man ever had hate for his flesh; but he gives it food and takes care of it, even as Christ does for the church;
Efesini 5:30 poiché noi siamo membra del suo corpo.	Ephesians 5:30 Because we are parts of his body.
Efesini 5:31 Perciò l’uomo lascerà suo padre e sua madre e s’unirà a sua moglie, e i due diverranno una stessa carne.	Ephesians 5:31 For this cause will a man go away from his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
Efesini 5:32 Questo mistero è grande; dico questo, riguardo a Cristo ed alla Chiesa.	Ephesians 5:32 This is a great secret: but my words are about Christ and the church.
Efesini 5:33 Ma d’altronde, anche fra voi, ciascuno individualmente così ami sua moglie, come ama se stesso; e altresì la moglie rispetti il marito.	Ephesians 5:33 But do you, everyone, have love for his wife, even as for himself; and let the wife see that she has respect for her husband.
