Giobbe 12:1 Allora Giobbe rispose e disse:	Job 12:1 And Job made answer and said,
Giobbe 12:2 "Voi, certo, valete quanto un popolo, e con voi morrà la sapienza.	Job 12:2 No doubt you have knowledge, and wisdom will come to an end with you.
Giobbe 12:3 Ma del senno ne ho anch’io al par di voi, non vi son punto inferiore; e cose come codeste chi non le sa?	Job 12:3 But I have a mind as well as you; I am equal to you: yes, who has not knowledge of such things as these?
Giobbe 12:4 Io dunque dovrei essere il ludibrio degli amici! Io che invocavo Iddio, ed ei mi rispondeva; il ludibrio io, l’uomo giusto, integro!	Job 12:4 It seems that I am to be as one who is a cause of laughing to his neighbour, one who makes his prayer to God and is answered! the upright man who has done no wrong is to be made sport of!
Giobbe 12:5 Lo sprezzo alla sventura è nel pensiero di chi vive contento; esso è sempre pronto per coloro a cui vacilla il piede.	Job 12:5 In the thought of him who is in comfort there is no respect for one who is in trouble; such is the fate of those whose feet are slipping.
Giobbe 12:6 Sono invece tranquille le tende de’ ladroni e chi provoca Iddio, chi si fa un dio della propria forza, se ne sta al sicuro.	Job 12:6 There is wealth in the tents of those who make destruction, and those by whom God is moved to wrath are safe; even those whose god is their strength.
Giobbe 12:7 Ma interroga un po’ gli animali, e te lo insegneranno; gli uccelli del cielo, e te lo mostreranno;	Job 12:7 But put now a question to the beasts, and get teaching from them; or to the birds of the heaven, and they will make it clear to you;
Giobbe 12:8 o parla alla terra ed essa te lo insegnerà, e i pesci del mare te lo racconteranno.	Job 12:8 Or to the things which go flat on the earth, and they will give you wisdom; and the fishes of the sea will give you news of it.
Giobbe 12:9 Chi non sa, fra tutte queste creature, che la mano dell’Eterno ha fatto ogni cosa,	Job 12:9 Who does not see by all these that the hand of the Lord has done this?
Giobbe 12:10 ch’egli tiene in mano l’anima di tutto quel che vive, e lo spirito di ogni essere umano?	Job 12:10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all flesh of man.
Giobbe 12:11 L’orecchio non discerne esso le parole, come il palato assaggia le vivande?	Job 12:11 Are not words tested by the ear, even as food is tasted by the mouth?
Giobbe 12:12 Nei vecchi si trova la sapienza e lunghezza di giorni da intelligenza.	Job 12:12 Old men have wisdom, and a long life gives knowledge.
Giobbe 12:13 Ma in Dio stanno la saviezza e la potenza, a lui appartengono il consiglio e l’intelligenza.	Job 12:13 With him there is wisdom and strength; power and knowledge are his.
Giobbe 12:14 Ecco, egli abbatte, e niuno può ricostruire; Chiude un uomo in prigione, e non v’è chi gli apra.	Job 12:14 Truly, there is no building up of what is pulled down by him; when a man is shut up by him, no one may let him loose.
Giobbe 12:15 Ecco, egli trattiene le acque, e tutto inaridisce; le lascia andare, ed esse sconvolgono la terra.	Job 12:15 Truly, he keeps back the waters and they are dry; he sends them out and the earth is overturned.
Giobbe 12:16 Egli possiede la forza e l’abilità; da lui dipendono chi erra e chi fa errare.	Job 12:16 With him are strength and wise designs; he who is guided into error, together with his guide, are in his hands;
Giobbe 12:17 Egli manda scalzi i consiglieri, colpisce di demenza i giudici.	Job 12:17 He takes away the wisdom of the wise guides, and makes judges foolish;
Giobbe 12:18 Scioglie i legami dell’autorità dei re e cinge i loro fianchi di catene.	Job 12:18 He undoes the chains of kings, and puts his band on them;
Giobbe 12:19 Manda scalzi i sacerdoti, e rovescia i potenti.	Job 12:19 He makes priests prisoners, overturning those in safe positions;
Giobbe 12:20 Priva della parola i più eloquenti, e toglie il discernimento ai vecchi.	Job 12:20 He makes the words of responsible persons without effect, and takes away the good sense of the old;
Giobbe 12:21 Sparge lo sprezzo sui nobili, e rallenta la cintura ai forti.	Job 12:21 He puts shame on chiefs, and takes away the power of the strong;
Giobbe 12:22 Rivela le cose recondite, facendole uscir dalle tenebre, e trae alla luce ciò ch’è avvolto in ombra di morte.	Job 12:22 Uncovering deep things out of the dark, and making the deep shade bright;
Giobbe 12:23 Aggrandisce i popoli e li annienta, amplia le nazioni e le riconduce nei loro confini;	Job 12:23 Increasing nations, and sending destruction on them; making wide the lands of peoples, and then giving them up.
Giobbe 12:24 Toglie il senno ai capi della terra, e li fa errare in solitudini senza sentiero.	Job 12:24 He takes away the wisdom of the rulers of the earth, and sends them wandering in a waste where there is no way.
Giobbe 12:25 Van brancolando nelle tenebre, senza alcuna luce, e li fa barcollare come ubriachi.	Job 12:25 They go feeling about in the dark without light, wandering without help like those overcome with wine.
