Isaia 13:1 Oracolo contro Babilonia, rivelato a Isaia, figliuolo di Amots.	Isaiah 13:1 The word of the Lord about Babylon which Isaiah, the son of Amoz, saw.
Isaia 13:2 Su di un nudo monte, innalzate un vessillo, chiamateli a gran voce, fate segno con la mano, ed entrino nelle porte de’ principi!	Isaiah 13:2 Put up a flag on a clear mountain-top, make a loud outcry to them, give directions with the hand, so that they may go into the doors of the great ones.
Isaia 13:3 Io ho dato ordine a quelli che mi son consacrati, ho chiamato i miei prodi, ministri della mia ira, quelli che esultano nella mia grandezza.	Isaiah 13:3 I have given orders to my holy ones, I have sent out my men of war, those of mine who take pride in their power, to give effect to my wrath.
Isaia 13:4 S’ode sui monti un rumore di gente, come quello d’un popolo immenso; il rumor d’un tumulto di regni, di nazioni raunate: l’Eterno degli eserciti passa in rivista l’esercito, che va a combattere.	Isaiah 13:4 The noise of great numbers in the mountains, like the noise of a strong people! The noise of the kingdoms of the nations meeting together! The Lord of armies is numbering his forces for war.
Isaia 13:5 Vengono da lontan paese, dalla estremità de’ cieli, l’Eterno e gli strumenti della sua ira, per distruggere tutta la terra.	Isaiah 13:5 They come from a far country, from the farthest part of heaven, even the Lord and the instruments of his wrath, with destruction for all the land.
Isaia 13:6 Urlate, poiché il giorno dell’Eterno è vicino; esso viene come una devastazione dell’Onnipotente.	Isaiah 13:6 Send out a cry of grief; for the day of the Lord is near; it comes as destruction from the Most High.
Isaia 13:7 Perciò, tutte le mani diventan fiacche, e ogni cuor d’uomo vien meno.	Isaiah 13:7 For this cause all hands will be feeble, and every heart of man be turned to water;
Isaia 13:8 Son còlti da spavento, son presi da spasimi e da doglie; si contorcono come donna che partorisce, si guardan l’un l’altro sbigottiti, le loro facce son facce di fuoco.	Isaiah 13:8 Their hearts will be full of fear; pains and sorrows will overcome them; they will be in pain like a woman in childbirth; they will be shocked at one another; their faces will be like flames.
Isaia 13:9 Ecco il giorno dell’Eterno giunge: giorno crudele, d’indignazione e d’ira ardente, che farà della terra un deserto, e ne distruggerà i peccatori.	Isaiah 13:9 See, the day of the Lord is coming, cruel, with wrath and burning passion: to make the land a waste, driving the sinners in it to destruction.
Isaia 13:10 Poiché le stelle e le costellazioni del cielo non far più brillare la loro luce, il sole s’oscurerà fin dalla sua levata, e la luna non farà più risplendere il suo chiarore.	Isaiah 13:10 For the stars of heaven and its bright armies will not give their light: the sun will be made dark in his journey through the heaven, and the moon will keep back her light.
Isaia 13:11 Io punirò il mondo per la sua malvagità, e gli empi per la loro iniquità; farò cessare l’alterigia de’ superbi e abbatterò l’arroganza de’ tiranni.	Isaiah 13:11 And I will send punishment on the world for its evil, and on the sinners for their wrongdoing; and I will put an end to all pride, and will make low the power of the cruel.
Isaia 13:12 Renderò gli uomini più rari dell’oro fino, più rari dell’oro d’Ofir.	Isaiah 13:12 I will make men so small in number, that a man will be harder to get than gold, even the best gold of Ophir.
Isaia 13:13 Perciò farò tremare i cieli, e la terra sarà scossa dal suo luogo per l’indignazione dell’Eterno degli eserciti, nel giorno della sua ira ardente.	Isaiah 13:13 For this cause the heavens will be shaking, and the earth will be moved out of its place, in the wrath of the Lord of armies, and in the day of his burning passion.
Isaia 13:14 Allora, come gazzella inseguita o come pecora che nessuno raccoglie, ognuno si volgerà verso il suo popolo, ognuno fuggirà al proprio paese.	Isaiah 13:14 And it will be that, like a roe in flight, and like wandering sheep, they will go every man to his people and to his land.
Isaia 13:15 Chiunque sarà trovato sarò trafitto, chiunque sarà còlto cadrà di spada.	Isaiah 13:15 Everyone who is overtaken will have a spear put through him, and everyone who goes in flight will be put to the sword.
Isaia 13:16 I loro bimbi saranno schiacciati davanti ai loro occhi, le loro case saran saccheggiate, le loro mogli saranno violentate.	Isaiah 13:16 Their young children will be broken up before their eyes; their goods will be taken away, and their wives made the property of others.
Isaia 13:17 Ecco, io suscito contro di loro i Medi, i quali non faranno alcun caso dell’argento, e non prendono alcun piacere nell’oro.	Isaiah 13:17 See, I am driving the Medes against them, who put no value on silver and have no pleasure in gold.
Isaia 13:18 I loro archi atterreranno i giovani, ed essi non avran pietà del frutto delle viscere: l’occhio loro non risparmierà i bambini.	Isaiah 13:18 In their hands are bows and spears; they are cruel, violently putting the young men to death, and crushing the young women; they have no pity for children, and no mercy for the fruit of the body.
Isaia 13:19 E Babilonia, lo splendore de’ regni, la superba bellezza de’ Caldei, sarà come Sodoma e Gomorra quando Iddio le sovvertì.	Isaiah 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beautiful town which is the pride of the Chaldaeans, will be like God's destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Isaia 13:20 Essa non sarà mai più abitata, d’età in età nessuno vi si stabilirà più; l’Arabo non vi pianterà più la sua tenda, né i pastori vi faran più riposare i lor greggi;	Isaiah 13:20 People will never be living in it again, and it will have no more men from generation to generation: the Arab will not put up his tent there; and those who keep sheep will not make it a resting-place for their flocks.
Isaia 13:21 ma vi riposeranno le bestie del deserto, e le sue case saran piene di gufi; vi faran la loro dimora gli struzzi, i satiri vi balleranno.	Isaiah 13:21 But the beasts of the waste land will have their holes there; and the houses will be full of crying jackals, and ostriches will have their place there, and evil spirits will be dancing there.
Isaia 13:22 Gli sciacalli ululeranno nei suoi palazzi, i cani salvatici nelle sue ville deliziose. Il suo tempo sta per venire, i suoi giorni non saran prolungati.	Isaiah 13:22 And wolves will be answering one another in their towers, and jackals in their houses of pleasure: her time is near, and her days of power will quickly be ended.
