Isaia 64:1 Oh squarciassi tu pure i cieli, e scendessi! Dinanzi a te sarebbero scossi i monti.	Isaiah 64:1 O let the heavens be broken open and come down, so that the mountains may be shaking before you,
Isaia 64:2 Come il fuoco accende i rami secchi, come il fuoco fa bollir l’acqua, tu faresti conoscere il tuo nome ai tuoi avversari, e le nazioni tremerebbero dinanzi a te.	Isaiah 64:2 As when fire puts the brushwood in flames, or as when water is boiling from the heat of the fire: to make your name feared by your haters, so that the nations may be shaking before you;
Isaia 64:3 Quando facesti delle cose tremende che noi non aspettavamo, tu discendesti, e i monti furono scossi dinanzi a te.	Isaiah 64:3 While you do acts of power for which we are not looking, and which have not come to the ears of men in the past.
Isaia 64:4 Mai s’era inteso, mai orecchio avea sentito dire, mai occhio aveva veduto che un altro Dio, fuori di te, agisse a pro di quegli che spera in lui.	Isaiah 64:4 The ear has not had news of, or the eye seen, ... any God but you, working for the man who is waiting for him.
Isaia 64:5 Tu vai incontro a chi gode nel praticar la giustizia, a chi, camminando nelle tue vie, si ricorda di te; ma tu ti sei adirato contro di noi, perché abbiamo peccato; e ciò ha durato da tanto tempo… sarem noi salvati?	Isaiah 64:5 Will you not have mercy on him who takes pleasure in doing righteousness, even on those who keep in mind your ways? Truly you were angry, and we went on doing evil, and sinning against you in the past.
Isaia 64:6 Tutti quanti siam diventati come l’uomo impuro e tutta la nostra giustizia come un abito lordato; tutti quanti appassiamo come una foglia, e le nostre iniquità ci portan via come il vento.	Isaiah 64:6 For we have all become like an unclean person, and all our good acts are like a dirty robe: and we have all become old like a dead leaf, and our sins, like the wind, take us away.
Isaia 64:7 Non v’è più alcuno che invochi il tuo nome, che si risvegli per attenersi a te; poiché tu ci hai nascosta la tua faccia, e ci lasci consumare dalle nostre iniquità.	Isaiah 64:7 And there is no one who makes prayer to your name, or who is moved to keep true to you: for your face is veiled from us, and you have given us into the power of our sins.
Isaia 64:8 Nondimeno, o Eterno, tu sei nostro padre; noi siamo l’argilla; tu, colui che ci formi; e noi siam tutti l’opera delle tue mani.	Isaiah 64:8 But now, O Lord, you are our father; we are the earth, and you are our maker; and we are all the work of your hand.
Isaia 64:9 Non t’adirare fino all’estremo, o Eterno! e non ti ricordare dell’iniquità in perpetuo; ecco, guarda, ten preghiamo; noi siamo tutti tuo popolo.	Isaiah 64:9 Be not very angry, O Lord, and do not keep our sins in mind for ever: give ear to our prayer, for we are all your people.
Isaia 64:10 Le tue città sante sono un deserto; Sion è un deserto, Gerusalemme, una desolazione.	Isaiah 64:10 Your holy towns have become a waste, Zion has become a waste, Jerusalem is a mass of broken walls.
Isaia 64:11 La nostra casa santa e magnifica, dove i nostri padri ti celebrarono, è stata preda alle fiamme, e tutto quel che avevamo di più caro è stato devastato.	Isaiah 64:11 Our holy and beautiful house, where our fathers gave praise to you, is burned with fire; and all the things of our desire have come to destruction.
Isaia 64:12 Dinanzi a queste cose ti conterrai tu, o Eterno? tacerai tu e ci affliggerai fino all’estremo?	Isaiah 64:12 In view of all this, will you still do nothing, O Lord? will you keep quiet, and go on increasing our punishment?
