Luca 16	Luke 16
Luca 16:1 Gesù diceva ancora ai suoi discepoli: V’era un uomo ricco che avea un fattore, il quale fu accusato dinanzi a lui di dissipare i suoi beni.	Luke 16:1 And another time he said to the disciples, There was a certain man of great wealth who had a servant; and it was said to him that this servant was wasting his goods.
Luca 16:2 Ed egli lo chiamò e gli disse: Che cos’è questo che odo di te? Rendi conto della tua amministrazione, perché tu non puoi più esser mio fattore.	Luke 16:2 And he sent for him and said, What is this which is said about you? give me an account of all you have done, for you will no longer be the manager of my property.
Luca 16:3 E il fattore disse fra sé: Che farò io, dacché il padrone mi toglie l’amministrazione? A zappare non son buono; a mendicare mi vergogno.	Luke 16:3 And the servant said to himself, What am I to do now that my lord takes away my position? I have not enough strength for working in the fields, and I would be shamed if I made requests for money from people in the streets.
Luca 16:4 So bene quel che farò, affinché, quando dovrò lasciare l’amministrazione, ci sia chi mi riceva in casa sua.	Luke 16:4 I have come to a decision what to do, so that when I am put out of my position they will take me into their houses.
Luca 16:5 Chiamati quindi a se ad uno ad uno i debitori del suo padrone, disse al primo:	Luke 16:5 And sending for every one who was in debt to his lord he said to the first, What is the amount of your debt to my lord?
Luca 16:6 Quanto devi al mio padrone? Quello rispose: Cento bati d’olio. Egli disse: Prendi la tua scritta, siedi, e scrivi presto: Cinquanta.	Luke 16:6 And he said, A hundred measures of oil. And he said, Take your account straight away and put down fifty.
Luca 16:7 Poi disse ad un altro: E tu, quanto devi? Quello rispose: Cento cori di grano. Egli disse: Prendi la tua scritta, e scrivi: Ottanta.	Luke 16:7 Then he said to another, What is the amount of your debt? And he said, A hundred measures of grain. And he said to him, Take your account and put down eighty.
Luca 16:8 E il padrone lodò il fattore infedele perché aveva operato con avvedutezza; poiché i figliuoli di questo secolo, nelle relazioni con que’ della loro generazione, sono più accorti dei figliuoli della luce.	Luke 16:8 And his lord was pleased with the false servant, because he had been wise; for the sons of this world are wiser in relation to their generation than the sons of light.
Luca 16:9 Ed io vi dico: Fatevi degli amici con le ricchezze ingiuste; affinché, quand’esse verranno meno, quelli vi ricevano ne’ tabernacoli eterni.	Luke 16:9 And I say to you, Make friends for yourselves through the wealth of this life, so that when it comes to an end, you may be taken into the eternal resting-places.
Luca 16:10 Chi è fedele nelle cose minime, è pur fedele nelle grandi; e chi è ingiusto nelle cose minime, è pure ingiusto nelle grandi.	Luke 16:10 He who is true in a little, is true in much; he who is false in small things, is false in great.
Luca 16:11 Se dunque non siete stati fedeli nelle ricchezze ingiuste, chi vi affiderà le vere?	Luke 16:11 If, then, you have not been true in your use of the wealth of this life, who will give into your care the true wealth?
Luca 16:12 E se non siete stati fedeli nell’altrui, chi vi darà il vostro?	Luke 16:12 And if you have not been true in your care of the property of other people, who will give you that which is yours?
Luca 16:13 Nessun domestico può servire a due padroni: perché o odierà l’uno e amerà l’altro, o si atterrà all’uno e sprezzerà l’altro. Voi non potete servire a Dio ed a Mammona.	Luke 16:13 No man may be a servant to two masters: for he will have hate for the one and love for the other; or he will keep to the one and have no respect for the other. You may not be servants of God and of wealth.
Luca 16:14 Or i Farisei, che amavano il danaro, udivano tutte queste cose e si facean beffe di lui.	Luke 16:14 And the Pharisees, who had a great love of money, hearing these things, were making sport of him.
Luca 16:15 Ed egli disse loro: Voi siete quelli che vi proclamate giusti dinanzi agli uomini; ma Dio conosce i vostri cuori; poiché quel che è eccelso fra gli uomini, è abominazione dinanzi a Dio.	Luke 16:15 And he said, You take care to seem right in the eyes of men, but God sees your hearts: and those things which are important in the opinion of men, are evil in the eyes of God.
Luca 16:16 La legge ed i profeti hanno durato fino a Giovanni; da quel tempo è annunziata la buona novella del regno di Dio, ed ognuno v’entra a forza.	Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were till John: but then came the preaching of the kingdom of God, and everyone makes his way into it by force.
Luca 16:17 Più facile è che passino cielo e terra, che un apice solo della legge cada.	Luke 16:17 But heaven and earth will come to an end before the smallest letter of the law may be dropped out.
Luca 16:18 Chiunque manda via la moglie e ne sposa un’altra, commette adulterio; e chiunque sposa una donna mandata via dal marito, commette adulterio.	Luke 16:18 Everyone who puts away his wife and takes another, is a false husband: and he who is married to a woman whose husband has put her away, is no true husband to her.
Luca 16:19 Or v’era un uomo ricco, il quale vestiva porpora e bisso, ed ogni giorno godeva splendidamente;	Luke 16:19 Now there was a certain man of great wealth, who was dressed in fair clothing of purple and delicate linen, and was shining and glad every day.
Luca 16:20 e v’era un pover’uomo chiamato Lazzaro, che giaceva alla porta di lui, pieno d’ulceri,	Luke 16:20 And a certain poor man, named Lazarus, was stretched out at his door, full of wounds,
Luca 16:21 e bramoso di sfamarsi con le briciole che cadevano dalla tavola del ricco; anzi perfino venivano i cani a leccargli le ulceri.	Luke 16:21 Desiring the broken bits of food which came from the table of the man of wealth; and even the dogs came and put their tongues on his wounds.
Luca 16:22 Or avvenne che il povero morì e fu portato dagli angeli nel seno d’Abramo; morì anche il ricco, e fu seppellito.	Luke 16:22 And in time the poor man came to his end, and angels took him to Abraham's breast. And the man of wealth came to his end, and was put in the earth.
Luca 16:23 E nell’Ades, essendo ne’ tormenti, alzò gli occhi e vide da lontano Abramo, e Lazzaro nel suo seno;	Luke 16:23 And in hell, being in great pain, lifting up his eyes he saw Abraham, far away, and Lazarus on his breast.
Luca 16:24 ed esclamò: Padre Abramo, abbi pietà di me, e manda Lazzaro a intingere la punta del dito nell’acqua per rinfrescarmi la lingua, perché son tormentato in questa fiamma.	Luke 16:24 And he gave a cry and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may put the end of his finger in water and put it on my tongue, for I am cruelly burning in this flame.
Luca 16:25 Ma Abramo disse: Figliuolo, ricordati che tu ricevesti i tuoi beni in vita tua, e che Lazzaro similmente ricevette i mali; ma ora qui egli è consolato, e tu sei tormentato.	Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Keep in mind, my son, that when you were living, you had your good things, while Lazarus had evil things: but now, he is comforted and you are in pain.
Luca 16:26 E oltre a tutto questo, fra noi e voi è posta una gran voragine, perché quelli che vorrebbero passar di qui a voi non possano, né di la si passi da noi.	Luke 16:26 And in addition, there is a deep division fixed between us and you, so that those who might go from here to you are not able to do so, and no one may come from you to us.
Luca 16:27 Ed egli disse: Ti prego, dunque, o padre, che tu lo mandi a casa di mio padre,	Luke 16:27 And he said, Father, it is my request that you will send him to my father's house;
Luca 16:28 perché ho cinque fratelli, affinché attesti loro queste cose, onde non abbiano anch’essi a venire in questo luogo di tormento.	Luke 16:28 For I have five brothers; and let him give them an account of these things, so that they may not come to this place of pain.
Luca 16:29 Abramo disse: Hanno Mosè e i profeti; ascoltin quelli.	Luke 16:29 But Abraham said, They have Moses and the prophets; let them give ear to what they say.
Luca 16:30 Ed egli: No, padre Abramo; ma se uno va a loro dai morti, si ravvedranno.	Luke 16:30 And he said, No, father Abraham, but if someone went to them from the dead, their hearts would be changed.
Luca 16:31 Ma Abramo rispose: Se non ascoltano Mosè e i profeti, non si lasceranno persuadere neppure se uno dei morti risuscitasse.	Luke 16:31 And he said to him, If they will not give attention to Moses and the prophets, they will not be moved even if someone comes back from the dead.
