Osea 4	Hosea 4
Osea 4:1 Ascoltate la parola dell’Eterno, o figliuoli d’Israele; poiché l’Eterno ha una contestazione con gli abitanti del paese, poiché non v’è né verità, né misericordia, né conoscenza di Dio nel paese.	Hosea 4:1 Give ear to the word of the Lord, O children of Israel; for the Lord has a cause against the people of this land, because there is no good faith in it, and no mercy and no knowledge of God in the land.
Osea 4:2 Si spergiura, si mentisce, si uccide, si ruba, si commette adulterio; si rompe ogni limite, sangue tocca sangue.	Hosea 4:2 There is cursing and broken faith, violent death and attacks on property, men are untrue in married life, houses are broken into, and there is blood touching blood.
Osea 4:3 Per questo il paese sarà in lutto, tutti quelli che l’abitano languiranno, e con essi le bestie de’ campi e gli uccelli del cielo; perfino i pesci del mare scompariranno.	Hosea 4:3 Because of this the land will be dry, and everyone living in it will be wasted away, with the beasts of the field and the birds of heaven; even the fishes of the sea will be taken away.
Osea 4:4 Pur nondimeno, nessuno contenda, nessuno rimproveri! poiché il tuo popolo è come quelli che contendono col sacerdote.	Hosea 4:4 Let no man go to law or make protests, for your people are like those who go to law with a priest.
Osea 4:5 Perciò tu cadrai di giorno, e anche il profeta cadrà con te di notte; e io distruggerò tua madre.	Hosea 4:5 You will not be able to keep on your feet by day, and by night the prophet will be falling down with you, and I will give your mother to destruction.
Osea 4:6 Il mio popolo perisce per mancanza di conoscenza. Poiché tu hai sdegnata la conoscenza, anch’io sdegnerò d’averti per sacerdote; giacché tu hai dimenticata la legge del tuo Dio, anch’io dimenticherò i tuoi figliuoli.	Hosea 4:6 Destruction has overtaken my people because they have no knowledge; because you have given up knowledge, I will give you up, so that you will be no priest to me, because you have not kept in mind the law of your God, I will not keep your children in my memory.
Osea 4:7 Più si son moltiplicati, e più han peccato contro di me; io muterò la loro gloria in ignominia.	Hosea 4:7 Even while they were increasing in number they were sinning against me; I will let their glory be changed into shame.
Osea 4:8 Si nutrono de’ peccati del mio popolo, e il loro cuore brama la sua iniquità.	Hosea 4:8 The sin of my people is like food to them; and their desire is for their wrongdoing.
Osea 4:9 E sarà del sacerdote quello che del popolo: io lo punirò per la sua condotta, e gli darò la retribuzione delle sue azioni.	Hosea 4:9 And the priest will be like the people; I will give them punishment for their evil ways, and the reward of their acts.
Osea 4:10 Mangeranno, ma non saranno saziati; si prostituiranno, ma non moltiplicheranno, perché hanno disertato il servizio dell’Eterno.	Hosea 4:10 They will have food, but they will not be full; they will be false to me, but they will not be increased, because they no longer give thought to the Lord.
Osea 4:11 Prostituzione, vino e mosto tolgono il senno.	Hosea 4:11 Loose ways and new wine take away wisdom.
Osea 4:12 Il mio popolo consulta il suo legno, e il suo bastone gli dà delle istruzioni; poiché lo spirito della prostituzione lo svia, egli si prostituisce, sottraendosi al suo Dio.	Hosea 4:12 My people get knowledge from their tree, and their rod gives them news; for a false spirit is the cause of their wandering, and they have been false to their God.
Osea 4:13 Sacrificano sulla sommità dei monti, offron profumi sui colli, sotto la quercia, il pioppo e il terebinto, perché l’ombra n’è buona; perciò le vostre figliuole si prostituiscono, e le vostre nuore commettono adulterio.	Hosea 4:13 They make offerings on the tops of mountains, burning perfumes in high places, under trees of every sort, because their shade is good: and so your daughters are given up to loose ways and your brides are false to their husbands.
Osea 4:14 Io non punirò le vostre figliuole perché si prostituiscono, né le vostre nuore perché commettono adulterio; poiché essi stessi s’appartano con le meretrici, e sacrificano con donne impudiche; e il popolo, ch’è senza intelletto, corre alla rovina.	Hosea 4:14 I will not give punishment to your daughters or your brides for their evil behaviour; for they make themselves separate with loose women, and make offerings with those who are used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods: the people who have no wisdom will be sent away.
Osea 4:15 Se tu, o Israele, ti prostituisci, Giuda almeno non si renda colpevole! Non andate a Ghilgal, e non salite a Beth-aven, e non giurate dicendo: "Vive l’Eterno!"	Hosea 4:15 Do not you, O Israel, come into error; do not you, O Judah, come to Gilgal, or go up to Beth-aven, or take an oath, By the living Lord.
Osea 4:16 Poiché Israele è restio come una giovenca restia, ora l’Eterno lo farà pascere come un agnello abbandonato al largo.	Hosea 4:16 For Israel is uncontrolled, like a cow which may not be controlled; now will the Lord give them food like a lamb in a wide place.
Osea 4:17 Efraim s’è congiunto con gli idoli; lascialo!	Hosea 4:17 Ephraim is joined to false gods; let him be.
Osea 4:18 Quando han finito di sbevazzare si dànno alla prostituzione; i loro capi amano con passione l’ignominia.	Hosea 4:18 Their drink has become bitter; they are completely false; her rulers take pleasure in shame.
Osea 4:19 Il vento si legherà Efraim alle proprie ali ed essi avranno vergogna dei loro sacrifizi.	Hosea 4:19 They are folded in the skirts of the wind; they will be shamed because of their offerings.
