Proverbi 5:1 Figliuol mio, sta’ attento alla mia sapienza, inclina l’orecchio alla mia intelligenza,	Proverbs 5:1 My son, give attention to my wisdom; let your ear be turned to my teaching:
Proverbi 5:2 affinché tu conservi l’accorgimento, e le tue labbra ritengano la scienza.	Proverbs 5:2 So that you may be ruled by a wise purpose, and your lips may keep knowledge.
Proverbi 5:3 Poiché le labbra dell’adultera stillano miele, e la sua bocca è più morbida dell’olio;	Proverbs 5:3 For honey is dropping from the lips of the strange woman, and her mouth is smoother than oil;
Proverbi 5:4 ma la fine cui mena è amara come l’assenzio, è acuta come una spada a due tagli.	Proverbs 5:4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, and sharp as a two-edged sword;
Proverbi 5:5 I suoi piedi scendono alla morte, i suoi passi fan capo al soggiorno dei defunti.	Proverbs 5:5 Her feet go down to death, and her steps to the underworld;
Proverbi 5:6 Lungi dal prendere il sentiero della vita, le sue vie sono erranti, e non sa dove va.	Proverbs 5:6 She never keeps her mind on the road of life; her ways are uncertain, she has no knowledge.
Proverbi 5:7 Or dunque, figliuoli, ascoltatemi, e non vi dipartite dalle parole della mia bocca.	Proverbs 5:7 Give ear to me then, my sons, and do not put away my words from you.
Proverbi 5:8 Tieni lontana da lei la tua via, e non t’accostare alla porta della sua casa,	Proverbs 5:8 Go far away from her, do not come near the door of her house;
Proverbi 5:9 per non dare ad altri il fiore della tua gioventù, e i tuoi anni al tiranno crudele;	Proverbs 5:9 For fear that you may give your honour to others, and your wealth to strange men:
Proverbi 5:10 perché degli stranieri non si sazino de’ tuoi beni, e le tue fatiche non vadano in casa d’altri;	Proverbs 5:10 And strange men may be full of your wealth, and the fruit of your work go to the house of others;
Proverbi 5:11 perché tu non abbia a gemere quando verrà la tua fine, quando la tua carne e il tuo corpo saran consumati,	Proverbs 5:11 And you will be full of grief at the end of your life, when your flesh and your body are wasted;
Proverbi 5:12 e tu non dica: "Come ho fatto a odiare la correzione, come ha potuto il cuor mio sprezzare la riprensione?	Proverbs 5:12 And you will say, How was teaching hated by me, and my heart put no value on training;
Proverbi 5:13 come ho fatto a non ascoltare la voce di chi m’ammaestrava, e a non porger l’orecchio a chi m’insegnava?	Proverbs 5:13 I did not give attention to the voice of my teachers, my ear was not turned to those who were guiding me!
Proverbi 5:14 poco mancò che non mi trovassi immerso in ogni male, in mezzo al popolo ed all’assemblea".	Proverbs 5:14 I was in almost all evil in the company of the people.
Proverbi 5:15 Bevi l’acqua della tua cisterna, l’acqua viva del tuo pozzo	Proverbs 5:15 Let water from your store and not that of others be your drink, and running water from your fountain.
Proverbi 5:16 Le tue fonti debbon esse spargersi al di fuori? e i tuoi rivi debbon essi scorrer per le strade?	Proverbs 5:16 Let not your springs be flowing in the streets, or your streams of water in the open places.
Proverbi 5:17 Siano per te solo, e non per degli stranieri con te.	Proverbs 5:17 Let them be for yourself only, not for other men with you.
Proverbi 5:18 Sia benedetta la tua fonte, e vivi lieto con la sposa della tua gioventù.	Proverbs 5:18 Let blessing be on your fountain; have joy in the wife of your early years.
Proverbi 5:19 Cerva d’amore, cavriola di grazia, le sue carezze t’inebrino in ogni tempo, e sii del continuo rapito nell’affetto suo.	Proverbs 5:19 As a loving hind and a gentle doe, let her breasts ever give you rapture; let your passion at all times be moved by her love.
Proverbi 5:20 E perché, figliuol mio, t’invaghiresti d’un’estranea, e abbracceresti il seno della donna altrui?	Proverbs 5:20 Why let yourself, my son, go out of the way with a strange woman, and take another woman in your arms?
Proverbi 5:21 Ché le vie dell’uomo stan davanti agli occhi dell’Eterno, il quale osserva tutti i sentieri di lui.	Proverbs 5:21 For a man's ways are before the eyes of the Lord, and he puts all his goings in the scales.
Proverbi 5:22 L’empio sarà preso nelle proprie iniquità, e tenuto stretto dalle funi del suo peccato.	Proverbs 5:22 The evil-doer will be taken in the net of his crimes, and prisoned in the cords of his sin.
Proverbi 5:23 Egli morrà per mancanza di correzione, andrà vacillando per la grandezza della sua follia.	Proverbs 5:23 He will come to his end for need of teaching; he is so foolish that he will go wandering from the right way.
