Salmi 2	Psalms 2
Salmi 2:1 Perché tumultuano le nazioni, e meditano i popoli cose vane?	Psalms 2:1 Why are the nations so violently moved, and why are the thoughts of the people so foolish?
Salmi 2:2 I re della terra si ritrovano e i principi si consigliano assieme contro l’Eterno e contro il suo Unto, dicendo:	Psalms 2:2 The kings of the earth have taken their place, and the rulers are fixed in their purpose, against the Lord, and against the king of his selection, saying,
Salmi 2:3 Rompiamo i loro legami e gettiamo via da noi le loro funi.	Psalms 2:3 Let their chains be broken, and their cords taken from off us.
Salmi 2:4 Colui che siede ne’ cieli ne riderà; il Signore si befferà di loro.	Psalms 2:4 Then he whose seat is in the heavens will be laughing: the Lord will make sport of them.
Salmi 2:5 Allora parlerà loro nella sua ira, e nel suo furore li renderà smarriti:	Psalms 2:5 Then will his angry words come to their ears, and by his wrath they will be troubled:
Salmi 2:6 Eppure, dirà, io ho stabilito il mio re sopra Sion, monte della mia santità.	Psalms 2:6 But I have put my king on my holy hill of Zion.
Salmi 2:7 Io spiegherò il decreto: L’Eterno mi disse: Tu sei il mio figliuolo, oggi io t’ho generato.	Psalms 2:7 I will make clear the Lord's decision: he has said to me, You are my son, this day have I given you being.
Salmi 2:8 Chiedimi, io ti darò le nazioni per tua eredità e le estremità della terra per tuo possesso.	Psalms 2:8 Make your request to me, and I will give you the nations for your heritage, and the farthest limits of the earth will be under your hand.
Salmi 2:9 Tu le fiaccherai con uno scettro di ferro; tu le spezzerai come un vaso di vasellaio.	Psalms 2:9 They will be ruled by you with a rod of iron; they will be broken like a potter's vessel.
Salmi 2:10 Ora dunque, o re, siate savi; lasciatevi correggere, o giudici della terra.	Psalms 2:10 So now be wise, you kings: take his teaching, you judges of the earth.
Salmi 2:11 Servite l’Eterno con timore, e gioite con tremore.	Psalms 2:11 Give worship to the Lord with fear, kissing his feet and giving him honour,
Salmi 2:12 Rendete omaggio al figlio, che talora l’Eterno non si adiri e voi non periate nella vostra via, perché d’un tratto l’ira sua può divampare. Beati tutti quelli che confidano in lui!	Psalms 2:12 For fear that he may be angry, causing destruction to come on you, because he is quickly moved to wrath. Happy are all those who put their faith in him.
