Salmi 83:1 Canto. Salmo di Asaf. O Dio, non startene cheto; non rimaner muto ed inerte, o Dio!	Psalms 83:1 A Song. A Psalm. Of Asaph.O God, do not keep quiet: let your lips be open and take no rest, O God.
Salmi 83:2 Poiché, ecco, i tuoi nemici si agitano rumorosamente, e quelli che t’odiano alzano il capo.	Psalms 83:2 For see! those who make war on you are out of control; your haters are lifting up their heads.
Salmi 83:3 Tramano astuti disegni contro il tuo popolo, e si concertano contro quelli che tu nascondi presso di te.	Psalms 83:3 They have made wise designs against your people, talking together against those whom you keep in a secret place.
Salmi 83:4 Dicono: Venite, distruggiamoli come nazione, e il nome d’Israele non sia più ricordato.	Psalms 83:4 They have said, Come, let us put an end to them as a nation; so that the name of Israel may go out of man's memory.
Salmi 83:5 Poiché si son concertati con uno stesso sentimento, fanno un patto contro di te:	Psalms 83:5 For they have all come to an agreement; they are all joined together against you:
Salmi 83:6 le tende di Edom e gl’Ismaeliti; Moab e gli Hagareni;	Psalms 83:6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagarites;
Salmi 83:7 Ghebal, Ammon ed Amalek; la Filistia con gli abitanti di Tiro;	Psalms 83:7 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek; the Philistines and the people of Tyre;
Salmi 83:8 anche l’Assiria s’è aggiunta a loro; prestano il loro braccio ai figliuoli di Lot. Sela.	Psalms 83:8 Assur is joined with them; they have become the support of the children of Lot. (Selah.)
Salmi 83:9 Fa’ a loro come facesti a Midian, a Sisera, a Jabin presso al torrente di Chison,	Psalms 83:9 Do to them what you did to the Midianites; what you did to Sisera and Jabin, at the stream of Kishon:
Salmi 83:10 i quali furon distrutti a Endor, e serviron di letame alla terra.	Psalms 83:10 Who came to destruction at En-dor; their bodies became dust and waste.
Salmi 83:11 Rendi i loro capi simili ad Oreb e Zeeb, e tutti i loro principi simili a Zeba e Tsalmunna;	Psalms 83:11 Make their chiefs like Oreb and Zeeb; and all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna:
Salmi 83:12 poiché dicono: Impossessiamoci delle dimore di Dio.	Psalms 83:12 Who have said, Let us take for our heritage the resting-place of God.
Salmi 83:13 Dio mio, rendili simili al turbine, simili a stoppia dinanzi al vento.	Psalms 83:13 O my God, make them like the rolling dust; like dry stems before the wind.
Salmi 83:14 Come il fuoco brucia la foresta, e come la fiamma incendia i monti,	Psalms 83:14 As fire burning a wood, and as a flame causing fire on the mountains,
Salmi 83:15 così perseguitali con la tua tempesta, e spaventali col tuo uragano.	Psalms 83:15 So go after them with your strong wind, and let them be full of fear because of your storm.
Salmi 83:16 Cuopri la loro faccia di vituperio, onde cerchino il tuo nome, o Eterno!	Psalms 83:16 Let their faces be full of shame; so that they may give honour to your name, O Lord.
Salmi 83:17 Siano svergognati e costernati in perpetuo, siano confusi e periscano!	Psalms 83:17 Let them be overcome and troubled for ever; let them be put to shame and come to destruction;
Salmi 83:18 E conoscano che tu, il cui nome e l’Eterno, sei il solo Altissimo sopra tutta la terra.	Psalms 83:18 So that men may see that you only, whose name is Yahweh, are Most High over all the earth.
