Jó 40:1 Disse mais o Senhor a Jó:	Job 40:1 Moreover Jehovah answered Job, and said,
Jó 40:2 Contenderá contra o Todo-Poderoso o censurador? Quem assim argúi a Deus, responda a estas coisas.	Job 40:2 Shall he that cavilleth contend with the Almighty? He that argueth with God, let him answer it.
Jó 40:3 Então Jó respondeu ao Senhor, e disse:	Job 40:3 Then Job answered Jehovah, and said,
Jó 40:4 Eis que sou vil; que te responderia eu? Antes ponho a minha mão sobre a boca.	Job 40:4 Behold, I am of small account; What shall I answer thee? I lay my hand upon my mouth.
Jó 40:5 Uma vez tenho falado, e não replicarei; ou ainda duas vezes, porém não prosseguirei.	Job 40:5 Once have I spoken, and I will not answer; Yea, twice, but I will proceed no further.
Jó 40:6 Então, do meio do redemoinho, o Senhor respondeu a Jó:	Job 40:6 Then Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Jó 40:7 Cinge agora os teus lombos como homem; eu te perguntarei a ti, e tu me responderás.	Job 40:7 Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
Jó 40:8 Farás tu vão também o meu juízo, ou me condenarás para te justificares a ti?	Job 40:8 Wilt thou even annul my judgment? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be justified?
Jó 40:9 Ou tens braço como Deus; ou podes trovejar com uma voz como a dele?	Job 40:9 Or hast thou an arm like God? And canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
Jó 40:10 Orna-te, pois, de excelência e dignidade, e veste-te de glória e de esplendor.	Job 40:10 Deck thyself now with excellency and dignity; And array thyself with honor and majesty.
Jó 40:11 Derrama as inundações da tua ira, e atenta para todo soberbo, e abate-o.	Job 40:11 Pour forth the overflowings of thine anger; And look upon every one that is proud, and abase him.
Jó 40:12 Olha para todo soberbo, e humilha-o, e calca aos pés os ímpios onde estão.	Job 40:12 Look on every one that is proud, [and] bring him low; And tread down the wicked where they stand.
Jó 40:13 Esconde-os juntamente no pó; ata-lhes os rostos no lugar escondido.	Job 40:13 Hide them in the dust together; Bind their faces in the hidden [place].
Jó 40:14 Então também eu de ti confessarei que a tua mão direita te poderá salvar.	Job 40:14 Then will I also confess of thee That thine own right hand can save thee.
Jó 40:15 Contempla agora o hipopótamo, que eu criei como a ti, que come a erva como o boi.	Job 40:15 Behold now, behemoth, which I made as well as thee; He eateth grass as an ox.
Jó 40:16 Eis que a sua força está nos seus lombos, e o seu poder nos músculos do seu ventre.	Job 40:16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, And his force is in the muscles of his belly.
Jó 40:17 Ele enrija a sua cauda como o cedro; os nervos das suas coxas são entretecidos.	Job 40:17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: The sinews of his thighs are knit together.
Jó 40:18 Os seus ossos são como tubos de bronze, as suas costelas como barras de ferro.	Job 40:18 His bones are [as] tubes of brass; His limbs are like bars of iron.
Jó 40:19 Ele é obra prima dos caminhos de Deus; aquele que o fez o proveu da sua espada.	Job 40:19 He is the chief of the ways of God: He [only] that made him giveth him his sword.
Jó 40:20 Em verdade os montes lhe produzem pasto, onde todos os animais do campo folgam.	Job 40:20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, Where all the beasts of the field do play.
Jó 40:21 Deita-se debaixo dos lotos, no esconderijo dos canaviais e no pântano.	Job 40:21 He lieth under the lotus-trees, In the covert of the reed, and the fen.
Jó 40:22 Os lotos cobrem-no com sua sombra; os salgueiros do ribeiro o cercam.	Job 40:22 The lotus-trees cover him with their shade; The willows of the brook compass him about.
Jó 40:23 Eis que se um rio trasborda, ele não treme; sente-se seguro ainda que o Jordão se levante até a sua boca.	Job 40:23 Behold, if a river overflow, he trembleth not; He is confident, though a Jordan swell even to his mouth.
Jó 40:24 Poderá alguém apanhá-lo quando ele estiver de vigia, ou com laços lhe furar o nariz?	Job 40:24 Shall any take him when he is on the watch, Or pierce through his nose with a snare?
