| Pois eis que naqueles dias, e naquele tempo, em que eu restaurar os exilados de Judá e de Jerusalém, | For in those days and in that time, when I let the fate of Judah and Jerusalem be changed, |
| congregarei todas as nações, e as farei descer ao vale de Jeosafá; e ali com elas entrarei em juízo, por causa do meu povo, e da minha herança, Israel, a quem elas espalharam por entre as nações; repartiram a minha terra, | I will get together all the nations, and make them come down into the valley of Jehoshaphat; and there I will take up with them the cause of my people and of my heritage Israel, whom they have sent wandering among the nations, and of my land which has been parted by them. |
| e lançaram sortes sobre o meu povo; deram um menino por uma meretriz, e venderam uma menina por vinho, para beberem. | And they have put the fate of my people to the decision of chance: giving a boy for the price of a loose woman and a girl for a drink of wine. |
| E também que tendes vós comigo, Tiro e Sidom, e todas as regiões da Filístia? Acaso quereis vingar-vos de mim? Se assim vos quereis vingar, bem depressa retribuirei o vosso feito sobre a vossa cabeça. | And further, what are you to me, O Tyre and Zidon and all the circle of Philistia? will you give me back any payment? and if you do, quickly and suddenly I will send it back on your head, |
| Visto como levastes a minha prata e o meu ouro, e os meus ricos tesouros metestes nos vossos templos; | For you have taken my silver and my gold, putting in the houses of your gods my beautiful and pleasing things. |
| também vendestes os filhos de Judá e os filhos de Jerusalém aos filhos dos gregos, para os apartar para longe dos seus termos; | And the children of Judah and the children of Jerusalem you have given for a price to the sons of the Greeks, to send them far away from their land: |
| eis que eu os suscitarei do lugar para onde os vendestes, e retribuirei o vosso feito sobre a vossa cabeça; | See, I will have them moved from the place where you have sent them, and will let what you have done come back on your head; |
| pois venderei vossos filhos e vossas filhas na mão dos filhos de Judá, e estes os venderão aos sabeus, a uma nação remota, porque o Senhor o disse. | I will give your sons and your daughters into the hands of the children of Judah for a price, and they will give them for a price to the men of Sheba, a nation far off: for the Lord has said it. |
| Proclamai isto entre as nações: Preparai a guerra, suscitai os valentes. Cheguem-se todos os homens de guerra, subam eles todos. | Give this out among the nations; make ready for war: get the strong men awake; let all the men of war come near, let them come up. |
| Forjai espadas das relhas dos vossos arados, e lanças das vossas podadeiras; diga o fraco: Eu sou forte. | Get your plough-blades hammered into swords, and your vine-knives into spears: let the feeble say, I am strong. |
| Apressai-vos, e vinde, todos os povos em redor, e ajuntai- vos; para ali, ó Senhor, faze descer os teus valentes. | Come quickly, all you nations round about, and get yourselves together there: make your strong ones come down, O Lord. |
| Suscitem-se as nações, e subam ao vale de Jeosafá; pois ali me assentarei, para julgar todas as nações em redor. | Let the nations be awake, and come to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there I will be seated as judge of all the nations round about. |
| Lançai a foice, porque já está madura a seara; vinde, descei, porque o lagar está cheio, os vasos dos lagares trasbordam, porquanto a sua malícia é grande. | Put in the blade, for the grain is ready: come, get you down, for the wine-crusher is full, the vessels are overflowing; for great is their evil-doing. |
| Multidões, multidões no vale da decisão! porque o dia do Senhor está perto, no vale da decisão. | Masses on masses in the valley of decision! for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. |
| O sol e a lua escurecem, e as estrelas retiram o seu resplendor. | The sun and the moon have become dark, and the stars keep back their shining. |
| E o Senhor brama de Sião, e de Jerusalém faz ouvir a sua voz; os céus e a terra tremem, mas o Senhor é o refúgio do seu povo, e a fortaleza dos filhos de Israel. | And the Lord will be thundering from Zion, and his voice will be sounding from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth will be shaking: but the Lord will be a breastplate for his people and a strong place for the children of Israel. |
| Assim vós sabereis que eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus, que habito em Sião, o meu santo monte; Jerusalém será santa, e estranhos não mais passarão por ela. | And you will be certain that I am the Lord your God, living in Zion, my holy mountain: and Jerusalem will be holy, and no strange person will ever again go through her. |
| E naquele dia os montes destilarão mosto, e os outeiros manarão leite, e todos os ribeiros de Judá estarão cheios de águas; e sairá uma fonte da casa do Senhor, e regará o vale de Sitim. | And it will come about in that day that the mountains will be dropping sweet wine, and the hills will be flowing with milk, and all the streams of Judah will be flowing with water; and a fountain will come out from the house of the Lord, watering the valley of acacia-trees. |
| O Egito se tornará uma desolação, e Edom se fará um deserto assolado, por causa da violência que fizeram aos filhos de Judá, em cuja terra derramaram sangue inocente. | Egypt will be a waste and Edom a land of destruction, because of the evil done to the children of Judah, because they have let blood be drained out in their land without cause. |
| Mas Judá será habitada para sempre, e Jerusalém de geração em geração. | But Judah will be peopled for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. |
| E purificarei o sangue que eu não tinha purificado; porque o Senhor habita em Sião. | And I will send punishment for their blood, for which punishment has not been sent, for the Lord is living in Zion. |
