| Ибо Мелхиседек, царь Салима, священник Бога Всевышнего, тот, который встретил Авраама и благословил его, возвращающегося после поражения царей, | For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, |
| которому и десятину отделил Авраам от всего, --во-первых, по знаменованию [имени] царь правды, а потом и царь Салима, то есть царь мира, | to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, King of righteousness, and then also King of Salem, which is King of peace; |
| без отца, без матери, без родословия, не имеющий ни начала дней, ни конца жизни, уподобляясь Сыну Божию, пребывает священником навсегда. | without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God), abideth a priest continually. |
| Видите, как велик тот, которому и Авраам патриарх дал десятину из лучших добыч своих. | Now consider how great this man was, unto whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the chief spoils. |
| Получающие священство из сынов Левииных имеют заповедь--брать по закону десятину с народа, то есть со своих братьев, хотя и сии произошли от чресл Авраамовых. | And they indeed of the sons of Levi that receive the priest's office have commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though these have come out of the loins of Abraham: |
| Но сей, не происходящий от рода их, получил десятину от Авраама и благословил имевшего обетования. | but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises. |
| Без всякого же прекословия меньший благословляется большим. | But without any dispute the less is blessed of the better. |
| И здесь десятины берут человеки смертные, а там--имеющий о себе свидетельство, что он живет. | And here men that die receive tithes; but there one, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. |
| И, так сказать, сам Левий, принимающий десятины, в [лице] Авраама дал десятину: | And, so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid tithes; |
| ибо он был еще в чреслах отца, когда Мелхиседек встретил его. | for he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him. |
| Итак, если бы совершенство достигалось посредством левитского священства, --ибо с ним сопряжен закон народа, --то какая бы еще нужда была восставать иному священнику по чину Мелхиседека, а не по чину Аарона именоваться? | Now if there was perfection through the Levitical priesthood (for under it hath the people received the law), what further need [was there] that another priest should arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be reckoned after the order of Aaron? |
| Потому что с переменою священства необходимо быть перемене и закона. | For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. |
| Ибо Тот, о Котором говорится сие, принадлежал к иному колену, из которого никто не приступал к жертвеннику. | For he of whom these things are said belongeth to another tribe, from which no man hath given attendance at the altar. |
| Ибо известно, что Господь наш воссиял из колена Иудина, о котором Моисей ничего не сказал относительно священства. | For it is evident that our Lord hath sprung out of Judah; as to which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priests. |
| И это еще яснее видно [из того], что по подобию Мелхиседека восстает Священник иной, | And [what we say] is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest, |
| Который таков не по закону заповеди плотской, но по силе жизни непрестающей. | who hath been made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life: |
| Ибо засвидетельствовано: Ты священник вовек по чину Мелхиседека. | for it is witnessed [of him,] Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek. |
| Отменение же прежде бывшей заповеди бывает по причине ее немощи и бесполезности, | For there is a disannulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness |
| ибо закон ничего не довел до совершенства; но вводится лучшая надежда, посредством которой мы приближаемся к Богу. | (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in thereupon of a better hope, through which we draw nigh unto God. |
| И как [сие было] не без клятвы, -- | And inasmuch as [it is] not without the taking of an oath |
| ибо те были священниками без клятвы, а Сей с клятвою, потому что о Нем сказано: клялся Господь, и не раскается: Ты священник вовек по чину Мелхиседека, -- | (for they indeed have been made priests without an oath; but he with an oath by him that saith of him, The Lord sware and will not repent himself, Thou art a priest for ever); |
| то лучшего завета поручителем соделался Иисус. | by so much also hath Jesus become the surety of a better covenant. |
| Притом тех священников было много, потому что смерть не допускала пребывать одному; | And they indeed have been made priests many in number, because that by death they are hindered from continuing: |
| а Сей, как пребывающий вечно, имеет и священство непреходящее, | but he, because he abideth for ever, hath his priesthood unchangeable. |
| посему и может всегда спасать приходящих чрез Него к Богу, будучи всегда жив, чтобы ходатайствовать за них. | Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. |
| Таков и должен быть у нас Первосвященник: святой, непричастный злу, непорочный, отделенный от грешников и превознесенный выше небес, | For such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; |
| Который не имеет нужды ежедневно, как те первосвященники, приносить жертвы сперва за свои грехи, потом за грехи народа, ибо Он совершил это однажды, принеся [в жертву] Себя Самого. | who needeth not daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the [sins] of the people: for this he did once for all, when he offered up himself. |
| Ибо закон поставляет первосвященниками человеков, имеющих немощи; а слово клятвенное, после закона, [поставило] Сына, на веки совершенного. | For the law appointeth men high priests, having infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was after the law, [appointeth] a Son, perfected for evermore. |
