Job 12
|
| И отвечал Иов и сказал: | Then Job answered and said, |
| подлинно, [только] вы люди, и с вами умрет мудрость! | No doubt but ye are the people, And wisdom shall die with you. |
| И у меня [есть] сердце, как у вас; не ниже я вас; и кто не знает того же? | But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: Yea, who knoweth not such things as these? |
| Посмешищем стал я для друга своего, я, который взывал к Богу, и которому Он отвечал, посмешищем--[человек] праведный, непорочный. | I am as one that is a laughing-stock to his neighbor, I who called upon God, and he answered: The just, the perfect man is a laughing-stock. |
| Так презрен по мыслям сидящего в покое факел, приготовленный для спотыкающихся ногами. | In the thought of him that is at ease there is contempt for misfortune; It is ready for them whose foot slippeth. |
| Покойны шатры у грабителей и безопасны у раздражающих Бога, которые как бы Бога носят в руках своих. | The tents of robbers prosper, And they that provoke God are secure; Into whose hand God bringeth [abundantly]. |
| И подлинно: спроси у скота, и научит тебя, у птицы небесной, и возвестит тебе; | But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; And the birds of the heavens, and they shall tell thee: |
| или побеседуй с землею, и наставит тебя, и скажут тебе рыбы морские. | Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee; And the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. |
| Кто во всем этом не узнает, что рука Господа сотворила сие? | Who knoweth not in all these, That the hand of Jehovah hath wrought this, |
| В Его руке душа всего живущего и дух всякой человеческой плоти. | In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind? |
| Не ухо ли разбирает слова, и не язык ли распознает вкус пищи? | Doth not the ear try words, Even as the palate tasteth its food? |
| В старцах--мудрость, и в долголетних--разум. | With aged men is wisdom, And in length of days understanding. |
| У Него премудрость и сила; Его совет и разум. | With [God] is wisdom and might; He hath counsel and understanding. |
| Что Он разрушит, то не построится; кого Он заключит, тот не высвободится. | Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again; He shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening. |
| Остановит воды, и все высохнет; пустит их, и превратят землю. | Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up; Again, he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth. |
| У Него могущество и премудрость, пред Ним заблуждающийся и вводящий в заблуждение. | With him is strength and wisdom; The deceived and the deceiver are his. |
| Он приводит советников в необдуманность и судей делает глупыми. | He leadeth counsellors away stripped, And judges maketh he fools. |
| Он лишает перевязей царей и поясом обвязывает чресла их; | He looseth the bond of kings, And he bindeth their loins with a girdle. |
| князей лишает достоинства и низвергает храбрых; | He leadeth priests away stripped, And overthroweth the mighty. |
| отнимает язык у велеречивых и старцев лишает смысла; | He removeth the speech of the trusty, And taketh away the understanding of the elders. |
| покрывает стыдом знаменитых и силу могучих ослабляет; | He poureth contempt upon princes, And looseth the belt of the strong. |
| открывает глубокое из среды тьмы и выводит на свет тень смертную; | He uncovereth deep things out of darkness, And bringeth out to light the shadow of death. |
| умножает народы и истребляет их; рассевает народы и собирает их; | He increaseth the nations, and he destroyeth them: He enlargeth the nations, and he leadeth them captive. |
| отнимает ум у глав народа земли и оставляет их блуждать в пустыне, где нет пути: | He taketh away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth, And causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way. |
| ощупью ходят они во тьме без света и шатаются, как пьяные. | They grope in the dark without light; And he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man. |
