Иона 3:1 ^ И было слово Господне к Ионе вторично:	Jonah 3:1 ^ And the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time, saying,
Иона 3:2 ^ встань, иди в Ниневию, город великий, и проповедуй в ней, что Я повелел тебе.	Jonah 3:2 ^ Up! go to Nineveh, that great town, and give it the word which I have given you.
Иона 3:3 ^ И встал Иона и пошел в Ниневию, по слову Господню; Ниневия же была город великий у Бога, на три дня ходьбы.	Jonah 3:3 ^ So Jonah got up and went to Nineveh as the Lord had said. Now Nineveh was a very great town, three days' journey from end to end.
Иона 3:4 ^ И начал Иона ходить по городу, сколько можно пройти в один день, и проповедывал, говоря: еще сорок дней и Ниневия будет разрушена!	Jonah 3:4 ^ And Jonah first of all went a day's journey into the town, and crying out said, In forty days destruction will overtake Nineveh.
Иона 3:5 ^ И поверили Ниневитяне Богу, и объявили пост, и оделись во вретища, от большого из них до малого.	Jonah 3:5 ^ And the people of Nineveh had belief in God; and a time was fixed for going without food, and they put on haircloth, from the greatest to the least.
Иона 3:6 ^ Это слово дошло до царя Ниневии, и он встал с престола своего, и снял с себя царское облачение свое, и оделся во вретище, и сел на пепле,	Jonah 3:6 ^ And the word came to the king of Nineveh, and he got up from his seat of authority, and took off his robe, and covering himself with haircloth, took his seat in the dust.
Иона 3:7 ^ и повелел провозгласить и сказать в Ниневии от имени царя и вельмож его: `чтобы ни люди, ни скот, ни волы, ни овцы ничего не ели, не ходили на пастбище и воды не пили,	Jonah 3:7 ^ And he had it given out in Nineveh, By the order of the king and his great men, no man or beast, herd or flock, is to have a taste of anything; let them have no food or water:
Иона 3:8 ^ и чтобы покрыты были вретищем люди и скот и крепко вопияли к Богу, и чтобы каждый обратился от злого пути своего и от насилия рук своих.	Jonah 3:8 ^ And let man and beast be covered with haircloth, and let them make strong prayers to God: and let everyone be turned from his evil way and the violent acts of their hands.
Иона 3:9 ^ Кто знает, может быть, еще Бог умилосердится и отвратит от нас пылающий гнев Свой, и мы не погибнем`.	Jonah 3:9 ^ Who may say that God will not be turned, changing his purpose and turning away from his burning wrath, so that destruction may not overtake us?
Иона 3:10 ^ И увидел Бог дела их, что они обратились от злого пути своего, и пожалел Бог о бедствии, о котором сказал, что наведет на них, и не навел.	Jonah 3:10 ^ And God saw what they did, how they were turned from their evil way; and God's purpose was changed as to the evil which he said he would do to them, and he did it not.
