Притчи 17:1 ^ Лучше кусок сухого хлеба, и с ним мир, нежели дом, полный заколотого скота, с раздором.	Proverbs 17:1 ^ Better a bit of dry bread in peace, than a house full of feasting and violent behaviour.
Притчи 17:2 ^ Разумный раб господствует над беспутным сыном и между братьями разделит наследство.	Proverbs 17:2 ^ A servant who does wisely will have rule over a son causing shame, and will have his part in the heritage among brothers.
Притчи 17:3 ^ Плавильня--для серебра, и горнило--для золота, а сердца испытывает Господь.	Proverbs 17:3 ^ The heating-pot is for silver and the oven-fire for gold, but the Lord is the tester of hearts.
Притчи 17:4 ^ Злодей внимает устам беззаконным, лжец слушается языка пагубного.	Proverbs 17:4 ^ A wrongdoer gives attention to evil lips, and a man of deceit gives ear to a damaging tongue.
Притчи 17:5 ^ Кто ругается над нищим, тот хулит Творца его; кто радуется несчастью, тот не останется ненаказанным.	Proverbs 17:5 ^ Whoever makes sport of the poor puts shame on his Maker; and he who is glad because of trouble will not go free from punishment.
Притчи 17:6 ^ Венец стариков--сыновья сыновей, и слава детей--родители их.	Proverbs 17:6 ^ Children's children are the crown of old men, and the glory of children is their fathers.
Притчи 17:7 ^ Неприлична глупому важная речь, тем паче знатному--уста лживые.	Proverbs 17:7 ^ Fair words are not to be looked for from a foolish man, much less are false lips in a ruler.
Притчи 17:8 ^ Подарок--драгоценный камень в глазах владеющего им: куда ни обратится он, успеет.	Proverbs 17:8 ^ An offering of money is like a stone of great price in the eyes of him who has it: wherever he goes, he does well.
Притчи 17:9 ^ Прикрывающий проступок ищет любви; а кто снова напоминает о нем, тот удаляет друга.	Proverbs 17:9 ^ He who keeps a sin covered is looking for love; but he who keeps on talking of a thing makes division between friends.
Притчи 17:10 ^ На разумного сильнее действует выговор, нежели на глупого сто ударов.	Proverbs 17:10 ^ A word of protest goes deeper into one who has sense than a hundred blows into a foolish man.
Притчи 17:11 ^ Возмутитель ищет только зла; поэтому жестокий ангел будет послан против него.	Proverbs 17:11 ^ An uncontrolled man is only looking for trouble, so a cruel servant will be sent against him.
Притчи 17:12 ^ Лучше встретить человеку медведицу, лишенную детей, нежели глупца с его глупостью.	Proverbs 17:12 ^ It is better to come face to face with a bear whose young ones have been taken away than with a foolish man acting foolishly.
Притчи 17:13 ^ Кто за добро воздает злом, от дома того не отойдет зло.	Proverbs 17:13 ^ If anyone gives back evil for good, evil will never go away from his house.
Притчи 17:14 ^ Начало ссоры--как прорыв воды; оставь ссору прежде, нежели разгорелась она.	Proverbs 17:14 ^ The start of fighting is like the letting out of water: so give up before it comes to blows.
Притчи 17:15 ^ Оправдывающий нечестивого и обвиняющий праведного--оба мерзость пред Господом.	Proverbs 17:15 ^ He who gives a decision for the evil-doer and he who gives a decision against the upright, are equally disgusting to the Lord.
Притчи 17:16 ^ К чему сокровище в руках глупца? Для приобретения мудрости [у] [него] нет разума.	Proverbs 17:16 ^ How will money in the hand of the foolish get him wisdom, seeing that he has no sense?
Притчи 17:17 ^ Друг любит во всякое время и, как брат, явится во время несчастья.	Proverbs 17:17 ^ A friend is loving at all times, and becomes a brother in times of trouble.
Притчи 17:18 ^ Человек малоумный дает руку и ручается за ближнего своего.	Proverbs 17:18 ^ A man without sense gives his hand in an agreement, and makes himself responsible before his neighbour.
Притчи 17:19 ^ Кто любит ссоры, любит грех, и кто высоко поднимает ворота свои, тот ищет падения.	Proverbs 17:19 ^ The lover of fighting is a lover of sin: he who makes high his doorway is looking for destruction.
Притчи 17:20 ^ Коварное сердце не найдет добра, и лукавый язык попадет в беду.	Proverbs 17:20 ^ Nothing good comes to him whose heart is fixed on evil purposes: and he who has an evil tongue will come to trouble.
Притчи 17:21 ^ Родил кто глупого, --себе на горе, и отец глупого не порадуется.	Proverbs 17:21 ^ He who has an unwise son gets sorrow for himself, and the father of a foolish son has no joy.
Притчи 17:22 ^ Веселое сердце благотворно, как врачевство, а унылый дух сушит кости.	Proverbs 17:22 ^ A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.
Притчи 17:23 ^ Нечестивый берет подарок из пазухи, чтобы извратить пути правосудия.	Proverbs 17:23 ^ A sinner takes an offering out of his robe, to get a decision for himself in a cause.
Притчи 17:24 ^ Мудрость--пред лицем у разумного, а глаза глупца--на конце земли.	Proverbs 17:24 ^ Wisdom is before the face of him who has sense; but the eyes of the foolish are on the ends of the earth.
Притчи 17:25 ^ Глупый сын--досада отцу своему и огорчение для матери своей.	Proverbs 17:25 ^ A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitter pain to her who gave him birth.
Притчи 17:26 ^ Нехорошо и обвинять правого, [и] бить вельмож за правду.	Proverbs 17:26 ^ To give punishment to the upright is not good, or to give blows to the noble for their righteousness.
Притчи 17:27 ^ Разумный воздержан в словах своих, и благоразумный хладнокровен.	Proverbs 17:27 ^ He who has knowledge says little: and he who has a calm spirit is a man of good sense.
Притчи 17:28 ^ И глупец, когда молчит, может показаться мудрым, и затворяющий уста свои--благоразумным.	Proverbs 17:28 ^ Even the foolish man, when he keeps quiet, is taken to be wise: when his lips are shut he is credited with good sense.
