| Đoạn, tôi lại thấy một vị thiên sứ khác sức mạnh lắm, ở từ trời xuống, có đám mây bao bọc lấy. Trên đầu người có mống; mặt người giống như mặt trời và chơn như trụ lửa. | And I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, arrayed with a cloud; and the rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire; |
| Người cầm nơi tay một quyền sách nhỏ mở ra: người để chơn hữu mình trên biển, chơn tả mình trên đất, | and he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left upon the earth; |
| và kêu lên một tiếng lớn, như tiếng sư tử rống: khi kêu tiếng đó rồi thì bảy tiếng sấm rền lên. | and he cried with a great voice, as a lion roareth: and when he cried, the seven thunders uttered their voices. |
| Lại khi bảy tiếng sấm rền lên rồi, tôi có ý chép lấy, nhưng tôi nghe một tiếng ở từ trời đến phán rằng: Hãy đóng ấn, những điều bảy tiếng sấm đã nói, và đừng chép làm chi. | And when the seven thunders uttered [their voices], I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying, Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. |
| Bấy giờ vị thiên sứ mà tôi đã thấy đứng trên biển và trên đất, giơ tay hữu lên trời, | And the angel that I saw standing upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his right hand to heaven, |
| chỉ Đấng hằng sống đời đời, là Đấng đã dựng nên trời cùng muôn vật trên trời, dựng nên đất cùng muôn vật dưới đất, dựng nên biển cùng muôn vật trong biển, mà thề rằng không còn có thì giờ nào nữa; | and sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created the heaven and the things that are therein, and the earth and the things that are therein, and the sea and the things that are therein, that there shall be delay no longer: |
| nhưng đến ngày mà vị thiên sứ thứ bảy cho nghe tiếng mình và thổi loa, thì sự mầu nhiệm Đức Chúa Trời sẽ nên trọn, như Ngài đã phán cùng các tôi tớ Ngài, là các đấng tiên tri. | but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then is finished they mystery of God, according to the good tidings which he declared to his servants the prophets. |
| Tiếng mà tôi đã nghe đến từ trời, lại nói cùng tôi và bảo rằng: Hãy đi, lấy quyển sách nhỏ mở ra trong tay vị thiên sứ đương đứng trên biển và đất. | And the voice which I heard from heaven, [I heard it] again speaking with me, and saying, Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel that standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. |
| Vậy, tôi đi tới vị thiên sứ và xin người cho tôi quyển sách nhỏ. Người phán: người hãy lấy và nuốt đi; nó sẽ đắng trong bụng ngươi, nhưng trong miệng ngươi nó sẽ ngọt như mật. | And I went unto the angel, saying unto him that he should give me the little book. And he saith unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but in thy mouth it shall be sweet as honey. |
| Tôi lấy quyển sách nhỏ khỏi tay vị thiên sứ và nuốt đi; trong miệng tôi nó ngọt như mật, nhưng khi tôi nuốt rồi, thì đắng ở trong bụng. | And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and when I had eaten it, my belly was made bitter. |
| Có lời phán cùng tôi rằng: Ngươi còn phải nói tiên tri về nhiều dân, nhiều nước, nhiều tiếng và nhiều vua nữa. | And they say unto me, Thou must prophesy again over many peoples and nations and tongues and kings. |
